I cannot recommend Sardinia House Dental Practice enough. In particular, Mr. Shivan Dave was incredibly reassuring & professional.
I walked in with trauma to my front teeth on Friday evening. The receptionist was able to book me an appointment for the following Monday afternoon, after the initial bruising had subsided.
When I arrived, the receptionist was expecting me & the entire process was very organised from start to finish. Mr. Dave called me in to his room exactly on time. After taking an x ray & explaining the issues to me, he presented me with my options along with the prices of each. He gave his opinion on what was best & at no point did I feel as though I was being encouraged to spend more than I needed to.
A professional, friendly & fast service, I would recommend Sardinia House Dental Practice to any of my friends & family.

Years ago, pre1990 I was recommended to this practice by a work colleague. I was originally treated by Mr Julian Ede who sadly had to retire recently. He was the best dentist I have ever had. Subsequently, I have been treated by Mr Amit Patel who, recommended by Mr Ede, also seems to be excellent. They have both been trained in the same ethic of keeping dental intervention to the absolute minimum necessary. The staff on reception have always been very friendly and helpful.

I've been going to SHDP (in various guises) for my entire life, and I have nothing but glowing things to say about them. Friendly, calm, patient, happy and keen to fit you in asap if you're worried about a tooth. I obviously have no other dentists to compare them to, but I don't know what more I could want in a dentist.

Mr Leach at Sardinia House Dental Practice is a great dentist - friendly, professional and doesn't try to push unnecessary (expensive) treatments. The reception staff are also vey friendly, welcoming and professional and provide a truly personal service. No surprise that I've been coming back to this practice again and again since the early 90s.

I had my wisdom tooth removed and it was the most pain-free extraction I've ever had. I also used to have a mouth guard from another practice which was uncomfortable so Dr Amit Patel at Sardinia made me another one which I now am able to use everyday & is a lot more durable too. Very professional and seamless experience. Amazing practice - will never go anywhere else now.

I will never go to this dental clinic again. I got a headache and earache coming from the teeth but I didn't know exactly which one. After some examination and X-rays, Dr Shivan said one of my tooth has decayed so badly that only root canal treatment could save the tooth. But in fact that tooth has only a very small filling and was healthy all the time. I doubted the judgment and went to another dental clinic for a check. And I discovered it was only the gum around wisdom tooth that has inflamed! After a simple cleaning and mouthwash, I felt almost recovered that same night. It seems that the £5 mouthwash has saved me from the £500+ fee for root canal treatment and saved my healthy tooth from its root canal being killed. Sardinia House really gave me a nightmare experience.

I recently changed from a local dental practice to Sardinia House in Holborn, and was a little apprehensive in doing so. I have always been weary of dentists thinking that they will carry out work that isn't always necessary. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of care and consultative approach I received at this practice, from receptionists through to the dentists themselves.
Dr. N Patel was attentive and detailed in her check up, the advice she gave was aligned to what a previous dentist had told me. I decided to revisit in order to have the recommended work to be carried out. I was pleased with Dr. Patel's care during the treatment where she was continually asking if I was ok and keeping me updated on what she was doing.
This practice has a contemporary and up-to-date clean and fresh feel. The surgery I was seen in was bright and spacious, especially compared to my previous dentists surgery!
I would definitely recommend this practice to others' and will be visiting for my annual check ups.

Sardinia House Dental Practice is the best dental practice I have ever been to. From members of the reception to the dental practitioners, everyone is always so kind and cheerful, making patients like me and my peers comfortable and less nervous about our dental treatments.
Dr Shiv (Shivan Dave), my dentist, has done an amazing job with my wisdom tooth extraction. Throughout the whole procedure, not only was he very efficient and excellent at his job, he was constantly reassuring me, offering kind words of encouragement to calm my nerves. Helping me get through the surgery was one of the most important things that Dr. Shiv could do for me as the last time I ever stepped foot into a dental practice for a proper treatment was more than 10 years ago. I have always been nervous about dental treatments and am so grateful that I found a really good dentist who made the procedure not only bearable, but truthfully, painless.
I also did a filling with Dr. Shiv. Comparing with past experiences of other peers from other dental practices, I experienced no pain at all after the numbness wore off (I had been previously warned by another dentist from another practice that there was going to be pain following my filling treatment). This is another testament to Dr Shiv’s dental expertise.
Lastly, the reason why I chose Sardinia Dental Practice in the very first place (after surveying almost 5 different practices) was that despite the level of professionalism and excellent dental service Sardinia provides, they have the best and most competitive prices in London. In fact, Dr Shiv never overcharged me at all. That was the ultimate reason why I chose Sardinia. I was just really fortunate to have found an excellent dentist at the same time. Thanks Sardinia!

Remember Its right in the central London and so it’s going to attract the best Dentists and staff in the county but without the really high central London price tag,
this dentist practice is much cheaper then of its competitors always as been But on the same high level in fact I think it’s better then most, it’s a clean modern clinic and I’m very happy with my treatment..

Dire. Charged three times price quoted on phone. Brusque bossy dental nurse; left water in my throat so was hard to breathe. Pushed be back forcibly when I indicated couldn’t breathe. Horrible to be unable to breath; quite terrifying. Dentist nicked my tongue which was painful for days. All done in discourteous rush. Never again.

Having lived in several countries, I have seen about 5 dentists so far. I believe Dr. Jonathan Davies, my dentist at this practice, has the best dexterity of all of them. He seems to use the smallest possible tool for drilling and is really gentle in his work.
Whenever I see a doctor, I want to fully understand any diagnosis and treatment option. Dr. Davies answered all my questions with patience. He designed a treatment plan that covered all the immediate filling needs without suggesting unnecessary and expensive pre-emptive work, as other dentists in the US had done.
I was impressed that during my appointment for fillings, he did the scale and polish himself rather than have a hygienist do it.
Last but not least, this practice has very reasonable prices for central London. If you are an LSE student, then you will get excellent value for money with the discounts they have!

I like going to the dentist in a sort of general way, but the staff at Sardinia House were all very friendly and professional, and happy to help me with my strange requests (I was going through medical clearance for a government job and needed to have some tests done that they would not normally do on someone with good dental hygiene). Overall it was a good experience, with short waits before my appointments and excellent dental care.

Dr Shivan did the wisdom tooth surgery for my wife about a month ago. As expected she was a little apprehensive since she hates going to the dentist much less going for a surgery. But Dr Shivan assured her with his professionalism and humour. You definitely need humour at times like these haha. The after-care was great as well. We left the clinic satisfied with the premium service provided.

Experiencing pain and having previously had bad experiences with Dentists, I was recommended, Sardinia House Dental Practice where I saw Dr Amit Patel. Dr Patel worked very closely with his colleague Dr Saju to swiftly get me out of pain. They explained everything in detail, more then I would have expected, which made me feel at ease about the treatment.
Very friendly and helpful! Definitely found my new Dentist, great place and loving the Molton Brown in the bathroom-thats classy!

When joining this practice, convenient for where I worked at the time, Sardinia House dental practice recommended I take out an agreement with Denplan, as "a dental healthcare insurance policy" to cover the costs of treatment. This month, after a filling broke and I was offered an appointment over a month away, I decided to transfer to a more local dental practice who could treat me more quickly. It was then that I discovered (from Denplan itself) that it is not an insurance policy - which Sardinia House still describe it as - but simply a savings plan, with the money going to the dentist via Denplan on a monthly basis. A polite request was met with silence and then, on further prompting, the Sardinia House Dental Practice has refused to reimburse any of the funds I have paid to it (via Denplan) over the last few years, despite no treatment provided, and contrary to other dental practices' actions. A disappointing, unprofessional and unethical response following the misselling of the plan, possibly unlawful, that will require more time and expense to achieve fair compensation.

Picking the right dentist, particularly when you have made the difficult and costly decision to go private, is an important choice.
Regrettably I made a very serious error of judgement in visiting Sardinia House Dental.
However the quality of treatment and patient care was in my wife's case deplorable.
My wife was suffering extreme pain from wisdom teeth, as many of us do at some point in our lives. A Mr Manjooran saw her on 3 occasions, failed to prescribe a coherant and effective course of treatment and wasted time and money.
I requested a second opinion and my wife was referred to Mr Leach, the practice's managing partner. On the morning of my wife's appointment, his nurse called to explain that Mr Leach no longer wished to see my wife as he had decided he didn't want any new patients.
This deeply frustrating and frankly irresponsible decision was not explained nor did my wife receive an apology. I was merely brushed off by the practice on the grounds that Mr Leach "was the boss, and we must do as he says". My wife, still in pain, was obliged to seek treatment elsewhere after 7 weeks of time was wasted visiting Sardinia House Dental.
I have never before written a review on Google but feel compelled to do so in this case - AVOID.

I had a really bad experience. I had a filling made by them that cause a lot of issues, went a couple times and the solution only works for a couple of months (they told me to go back if my teeth was hurting, but if is dead of course you won't feel anything). Today, I went to another clinic because due to that filling I had a really bad infection in my gum, my teeth is now dead and was full of bacteria which caused that bad infection. My new dentist clean it and was really surprised how someone "professional" couldn't see this happening. I won't go back there never again, you can'y play with the health of the other like this.

I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. As an ex dentist's daughter I am not only aware of how I wish to be treated as a patient but am also highly aware of the standard at which treatment and services should, and can, be delivered from the practitioner's side.
I had a range of complex dental problems arise after my Dad's retirement (unfortunately unavoidable) and was wary of finding a new dentist. I visited Sardinia House and was greatly impressed but, due to a range of reasons relating to location at the time, I opted to go to another dentist. Two years later I was very little further on in my treatment and was subject to the most unpleasant and intimidating behaviour on the part of the dental practice I was attending. Additionally the work that had been done was substandard and the treatment prescribed was not in my best interests or leading to the best aesthetic result. There was a clear focus on adding on charges wherever possible and rather less emphasis placed on patient satisfaction.
As yet another charge was levied for work that should have been done from the start I returned to Sardinia House to get a second opinion. I was a little nervous given that I had left them previously but the lovely receptionists could not have done more to put me at my ease and make me feel warmly welcomed back. I was given an immediate appointment at which both a candid opinion and a clear and transparent treatment plan was outlined.
Within a few months my entire mouth had been transformed- a far cry from the two years of inaction on the part of the other practice. The treatment plan addressed not only the immediate problem but took a long term view in ensuring my entire bite was improved thus minimising the potential for future problems. Aesthetically my smile has been improved beyond recognition-I was initially apprehensive at the idea that I would look 'different' but Dr Amit Patels's behaviour and step by step explanations throughout reassured me and led to me taking a leap of faith and trusting his judgement-one of the best decisions I have made in years.
The entire team at Sardinia House are fantastic-each and every person I have interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and operate to an extremely high standard. From the dentists, to the reception staff, to the nurses they all offer a personable and warm service and make visiting the practice a highly positive experience. The surgery itself is spotlessly clean. Yes private dentistry costs but, as I found out literally to my cost, some practices take your money whilst making you feel terrible, and leaving you no better off dentally. Sardinia House is worth every penny! They work extremely hard to provide a high level of customer service whilst delivering an unsurpassable level of dental care. Fantastic practice!

I went to Sardinia House Dental practice for regular checkups over several years, and had one filling made there. Then I recently went to another dentist who was aghast at the poor execution of the filling, it wasn't tight and new caries had developed underneath. To get it fixed I had to pay a lot of money. If you care about your teeth please do not go to Sardinia House.
