I've not had the best of luck with cars the past few years and I do usually come here to get my car sorted. Just recently, I went to another garage off Abby lane for a diagnosis on a problem I was experiencing. Called me up and said I had problems with my suspension and drive shaft "we can get the work done immediately and it will cost you £1100". Picked the car up after paying £30 for the check and took it straight to Ansa for a second opinion!! Super friendly chap named Ady checked the car thoroughly and told me he couldn't see anything wrong at all in terms of what the other garage said. My tracking/alignment needed sorting. My bill went from £1100 down to £40. Thank god for honest people. Poor Brenda that's 68 years old would of no doubt paid that £1100 bill!! Everyone's got enough on their plate with what's going on at the moment.....being ripped off shouldn't be one of them. Highly recommend Ansa, honest, friendly and affordable. Big shout out to Ady that seemed to went above and beyond. Excellent customer service.

Dodgy mechanics! I’ve had to take my car back on several occasions after they attempted to fix a timing chain problem (chain still made a rattle noise and Freddy the mechanic said it’s normal for it to make a little bit of noise..) only to have found out from another mechanic that they did half the job (fitted half a kit) Ended up having to pay for the same job again within a year for the full kit. Additionally they were very quick to scrap the replacement parts even though I had asked them to keep them aside... Basically one of those mechanics that tells you something’s wrong with the part when nothing is. So there’s a good chance your going to pay for something that doesn’t need fixing. I’ve been taking my car back to the garage for almost a year (Couldn’t even get my name right on any of the paperwork even though they had a copy of my driving licence) and having spent almost £1500 purely because THEY did the work and THEY have a duty of care to ensure it’s done properly however after I took it back to make them aware of the chain noise Richard (apparently the manager) said you don’t have to bring the car back to us. Richard doesn’t seam to understand that if you don’t do the job properly then yes customers will come back.. If you would like your petrol car to sound like a diesel truck at a reasonable price then by all means ANSA motors is your answer. On the other hand if you care about your car and need a proper job doing by professional mechanics then avoid this place as it’s been the biggest mistake I’ve made.

Ansa Motors Works has been dishonest, unprofessional and failed to deliver “full annual servicing” that was promised. Ansa Motors Works failed to update BMW digital service record and iDrive for the “full servicing” carried on BMW 316i, 2014, model on 20th August 2020 despite booking in advance and giving them nearly a month now to sort it out. Now, they have put their hands up from their responsibilities as they cannot do the BMW digital service and iDrive update and will not reimburse me with the money for these two services to be complete elsewhere. I paid the full quoted amount (£232.86) to release the car from the garage with two outstanding services which I agreed to return when their system is working again. Before making the booking on the phone, I explicitly asked if the BMW online digital service update and iDrive services were included in the quoted price and I was assured it was, hence, I went ahead with the booking on 11th August 2020. Nevertheless, after calling for an update numerous times over the month from Freddy (the mechanic who did the servicing), on 17th September 2020 at 4:07pm, he said BMW is not letting them login still and he does not know if he will be able to do the update anytime soon. Freddy also diligently points out to me that invoice does not say I paid for digital service update/iDrive and therefore I did not pay for that service. Hence, “even if they were able to update and resolve their issue with BMW next week, I would have to pay extra for BMW digital update and iDrive update as these services are offered separately”. Mind you, they already tried to charge me extra when collecting the car by saying “oil price went up” and now lying and denying that these two services were not included in the initial quote. Given that most new car manufacturers/models now have digital service history, why would I not ask to maintain “full-service history” of the vehicle and degrade the value of the car? I asked Freddy if I could speak to the manager, Freddy said the manager is busy and these were the manager’s words too. I requested Freddy to tell him to call me back today as I am dissatisfied with the service/resolution provided. Freddy said he will let the manager know and no one called back the same day. I no longer trust Freddy or his manager to call me back anytime soon to rectify this dishonesty, wasting everyone’s time and money during a pandemic. As a new customer at Ansa Motors Works, I feel they been dishonest from the beginning by carefully luring me into booking the full service with them that they knew they could not complete the services they promised. Now I also doubt/question, the quality of the work/services they have carried out on the vehicle, especially, when cross-checking the EuroCarParts websites with parts number to state the part is not compatible with my car model. I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE doing your business with unprofessional ANSA MOTORS WORKS and going elsewhere. I was relucted going to them in the beginning due to their recent bad Google reviews but approvedgrages.co.uk and goodgaragescheme.com website seemed genuine and had positive reviews generally. HOWEVER, DO NOT BE FOOLED. I will be reporting ANSA MOTORS WORKS to these websites and will never take any of my cars or recommend any friends/relatives to go there in future.

I took my daughters car as her injector 1 needed replacing which thankfully was covered under warranty. However, when the mechanic called to say he had replaced injector 2 but injector 1 needs work on, I questioned him as to why injector 2 had been replaced as it was injector 1 that needed replacing. He was so rude and aggressive as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. I admit I am “only a woman” . My daughter has a black box fitted and the insurance company had called to say her points are very low to driving fast and breaking too hard (which obviously this was the mechanic) . On picking the vehicle up I mentioned this to the receptionist about the driving and also how rude the mechanic was she turned around and blamed me for questioning him. No wonder his customer relations are so bad if he models himself on her attitude. Would definitely never use this rude ignorant company again. Just hope they have repaired it properly as I would hate to see how they would deal with a problem. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!

Bunch of amateur mechanics! Avoid these guys, don’t let the family and Friends positive reviews fool you. I realised what a big mistake I made taking my car to them until I started using a different garage. Looks like they have screwed over several other customers in the past and I’m sure there are many more. Zero stars given to this business operated by Lying amateurs. Not sure why they are part of the good garage scheme when they have no knowledge in mechanical skills.

A great venue for Nevis Ensemble's 6th concert of the day. Historically interesting, made of 300 million year old rock called Gneiss. Good acoustic, visibility a little difficult as the light diminished (no electricity). Had a nearby toilet (always a bonus) and a warm audience.

We had a major panic with the emergency airbag warning light showing on a works van, spoke to Adrian and he managed to rush it in at 8.30am the next morning, sorted same day - excellent service (Renault Main Dealer Leicester couldn't even find a slot to plug in to diagnostics for 15 days!). Went back with two of our Renault Masters the next week for new door sliders and both were sorted the same day! Excellent communications. Very impressed.
