I attended the Express body massage Course, The tutor was professional, friendly and understanding of each student, everything associated with the course was covered in a easy to learn way, and lots of 'hands on' practice, Also extremely mindful of Covid and full PPE provided. Thank you would highly recommend

Would definitely recommend spending the extra money and going elsewhere, I done my individual classic and Russian lashes here and all it was, was watching YouTube videos and having a go yourself... I feel you are just paying for the certificate really, unfortunately I have come to doing lashes after the course not feeling comfortable at all so have had to spend more money to book classes with someone else. The tutor was lovely and did try her best to make us feel comfortable however watching YouTube videos just wasn’t enough for me personally.

Awful as usual I see nothing has changed Teaching materials extremely poor outdated, no support no help this place is rubbish for level 2/3 in beauty save yourself the money go somewhere else

I’ve had two courses at the beauty academy, it’s well located and a beautiful building to work in. They provide you with all the knowledge you need to work in the beauty industry. Special shout out to Katy who was my tutor for the day professional, friendly, knowledgable and an all round lovely lady. All the tutors were friendly. I 100% recommend this academy. I recently came to do the eyelash course which initially I thought was good but you practise in these mannequin heads with synthetic lashes so we all struggled to get the lash to stick and when it comes to doing a real persons lashes it’s so difficult people naturally have different rows of lashes but they get you to practice of a eyelash strip which is nothing like the real eyelash bed as there’s multiple short and loathe lashes that intertwine so I would say it’s not a good reflection of doing a real lash, practicing on each other and make the course over two days or just make it a longer day would of been better. Our tutor for the day was nice though and answered any questions we had xx

I did the individual eyelash extension course today and I enjoyed it a lot, and the tutor was so friendly and helpful. She helped raise everyone’s confidence and made every person feel welcomed. As someone who suffers with severe anxiety, I felt completely calm and informed throughout would definitely recommend to anyone interested in learning individual eyelashes.

Over the last year I have completed 4 courses with the beauty academy to gain my insurance when opening my own business. ( I did book 5 but lost my place on one course as my grandfather died on that morning and they refused a reschedule) Luckily for me I had years of experience and was just retraining to get myself up to date. The Lash course was extremely poor the tutor allowed the course to be taken over by a student who like myself had previous experience and decided she would show everyone how to do the correct application and then left half way through day and still got passed off!. The students were asking me questions and advice as I had more experience and the class was large so the tutor couldn’t spend time with everyone, which I was happy to give but I was going to learn, not teach, the tutor even said to me that I would probably know more than her!. You are taught on a mannequin head with a single row strip lash which is nothing like working on live clients I don’t feel you are fully prepared, there is no demonstration of removal, What if you make a mistake? What if someone’s eyes react? there’s not enough info. I then did waxing which was better, however I left with my skin peeling on the backs of my calves and big bruises - again that student was passed off and sent out to work with clients. They also don’t show you how to do intimate waxing or eyebrows so you have to pay extra. My final course was the gel manicure. I was paired up with a student that had never held a file before and therefore was struggling, I highlighted this to the tutor who happily continued getting her nails done by another student and was shouting over instructions - she didn’t even get off her chair. I was left to talk her through and give advice - I didn’t pay for a course to teach someone myself. They also don’t demonstrate how to do the correct removal of gel you are just told to wrap the nails in acetone for 10 minutes and then “they should be off” I spent a lot of money with the beauty academy and I feel that’s all they care about. The classes are large the tutors struggle to be able to give enough attention. My main concern is that these students are walking out fully qualified and insured but many not capable. Generally poor - would definitely not recommend for beginners.

Did 3 courses with them this year and with each course the course/teaching material was relatively poor. Not enough info nor practice time was given. I left most of the courses feeling not confident at all.

Was trained by The Beauty Academy Birmingham to do eyelash extensions. The training provided was informative and we spent a fair amount of time on practicing eyelash application. Do not expect that you are going to become an expert in one day, practice makes perfect so whatever you do make sure you practice a lot, stay motivated and patient ! I would definitely recommend Beauty Academy to anyone who wants to launch a rewarding career in beauty. My first client is having her eyelashes done on Saturday, can't be more excited ! :)))))

I loved the precision lashes and brow course today! Very neat and tidy classroom! Everything was provided for us and I have to say I loved our teacher Katy! Definitely coming back for some more courses!????????????

It was my first time doing a beauty course so I was unsure of what to expect and I was a bit nervous! However the whole day went brilliantly! The tutor was informative, friendly and very hands on which has left me feeling completely at ease and comfortable enough to start! I would highly recommend these courses to anyone just starting up or as an add on to a business and I want to thank the beauty academy for putting on such a fab training program!

I had waxing training today at the new venue and loved it, having had manicure and pedicure training at the previous venue I can honestly say the new one is brilliant, I love the set up, and it's so inviting, it feels comfortable and extremely professional. The training I've done so far has been excellent and am glad I've booked with you, will definitely be looking for other courses, keep up the great work ????

After never doing anything like this before I decided to take a leap and go into something I've always been interested in. I applied for the gel nail,extensions and manicure and pedicure and found all the tutors so helpful the information was explained in such a way that it was very easy for someone who had no experience at all in this kind of thing to understand. Even In between the course or after the staff are always so friendly and helpful on the phone with any questions or queries you may have. I would highly recommend the beauty academy and am Very much looking forward to my next course.

Started my new venture of becoming a make up artist and to help me out I decided to book the lash and brow course. I was so nervous after not doing anything like this before. The tutor was amazing and very professional. Really enjoyed the day and felt confident at the end to practise on my own. Thank you.

Had a fantastic time on my skincare and facial massage course. It was such an easy process from booking the course all the way to participating. Jan Moore Two weeks ago I took the Uv Gel Nail Extensions Diploma Course. The training and trainer were excellent, the atmosphere was friendly and you were immediately put at ease, which was really helpful as this was the first course I had taken and didn't know what to expect. The trainer was able to give us lots of individual help and guidance with the practical work as we were quite a small group. I am now looking forward to my next course which will possibly be manicure.

I have just finished my 3 day Complete Make-Up Artist Training Course in Birmingham which was amazing. Yvonne was absolutely incredible! Super professional, friendly and kind. I learnt so much in 3 days and i didn't think it was possible for me to cram it in but it was done in a way where even the basic beginner like myself could create such amazing looks on all different skin types. I enjoyed my course so much that i have applied and been accepted to now study the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Make Up Artistry & Advanced Skills in October in Birmingham. Even talking to Mandy from Head Office has been amazing and she has also helped me out loads! I can't wait to go back!

Just want to say thanks for helping my daughter with her course. She really enjoyed the whole course and gained so much from it. Thanks again for improving her future business, wish you all the success for the future.

I really enjoyed my course at the Birmingham center, I also studied at a few of there other centres. The team was excellent and they were very helpful, professional and the rest of the women on the course were alot of fun. I will be back to study some more courses as soon as i have made some money with my new skills. thanks ladies great work.

I've attended many courses here in Birmingham over the years. I love the style of teaching, a real mix of practical and theory from on the job industry professionals. Katy has been my main tutor for many of my courses and it was so lovely to have a welcoming hug from her on my last course after a long gap in my training. Yvonne is so patient and has an amazing artistic talent when doing SFX Make-Up, she really helped me to unlock my creative side! I would highly recommend The Beauty Academy in Birmingham to anyone wanting to learn from those who work in the Industry. The tutors are welcoming, knowledgable and happy to share their professional experience.

Myself and my friend Karen have had a wonderful experience training with Katie and Yvonne at Birmingham, they are so supportive and friendly, we are just completing our level 2 beauty, we would highly recommend using the Beauty academy for any training you are thinking of doing. I've done 2 courses so far with the beauty academy Birmingham and have another one booked as well. They're lovely staff and amazing people to work with. I was so nervous on my first course but they always donan ice breaker and allow you to get to know the people on the course with you. The facilities can't be faulted, so clean and you always go away having learnt a lot. I'd highly recommend the beauty academy to anyone whether they're a beginner or quite experienced.

I've now completed my two blocks of training at TBA in Birmingham and it's been amazing and I'm well on the way to becoming a qualified MUA. This has been a lifelong dream for me and at 40 I decided to go for it and it's been the best decision I've ever made. Yvonne took me from a nervous, self conscious occasional make up wearer to a confident MUA that knows what she's doing! Can't wait to go back for more courses.

I recently attended a Manicure and Pedicure training, the course had students of differing ages and with differing goals, the tutor was professional and knowledgeable, her teaching style was great allowing us to ask questions the ladies on the group learnt and had fun doing so.

The nails courses that i studied here are brilliant, the tutors are very knowledgeable and made it easy. thank you for your help, ill be referring you to my friends.
