Maplewell Hall School

I agree with the other review, for me this is the best school. It has made such a difference to my son's life, everyone here, is so nice, supportive and know what they are doing. Its great.

This is THE best school in Leicestershire. I can't sing it's praises highly enough. I am a foster carer, who inherited an extremely troubled child. She was regularly excluded from her primary schools, and I had a two year struggle to get her statemented. When Maplewell Hall school accepted her, it saved me from being another carer who gave up on my child. I was struggling to cope as a single carer, and neglected my own family due to the demands of my foster daughter. She had many serious issues. Maplewell Hall School resolved most of her issues one by one. She no longer had to compete with her peers in mainstream, and was treated as an individual from the outset. I'm not saying the results were instantaneous, but they showed remarkable forbearance and understanding for my child's complex medical and psychological problems. She was not excluded once. I also found their Residential facilities a life saver. The staff asked which issues were ongoing, and her residential stays were used to resolve these. My child loved her stays in residential, and I got much needed breaks from the constant pressure of caring for a child with manifold needs. My child also confounded other people's expectations when she successfully undertook her exams, passing all but one. I am so proud of my child's successes, and it's down to Maplewell Hall School and the wonderful staff. Maplewell Hall School. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
