I attended Glauca Rossi last year for the 8 week intensive makeup course and got more than I could ever have expected, you are taught by the amazing Azzurra who is such a talented and inspiring teacher she is with you every step of the way, guiding you and making sure every question you may possibly have is answered! You also get to meet Glauca who is so fashionable and kind she makes you feel so welcome and always puts her students at ease. She also has the cutest cats so that’s another bonus! I couldn’t have picked a better school to attend and loved my time there so much! Best part they are always happy to see old faces so you can always got back and get advice and help when you need it! Thank you ladies so much ❤️❤️

The best make-up school in London! If you’re looking for a very intense and full of information course this is what you should pick. Amazing environment, friendly and a teacher who will make sure you leave the course prepared to get into the makeup world. Highly recommend!

At Glauca Rossi school of makeup, you learn from the very basics to in depth intricate work! Both Glauca and Azzurra help you after your course as well with getting work etc and building up your portfolio. By far the best makeup school out there. Would highly, highly recommend!!!

I think we all know that 2020 was one rollercoaster of a year, but I feel very fortunate to have attended Glauca's 8 week makeup course when I did. Not only have I been able to work with some incredibly talented and lovely students, I've also been taught by the amazing Azzurra. Azzurra has so much knowledge and experience that she is able to push you when you don't even realise you need pushing. She knows when to let you try out something and when to step in and show you how it could be done. I loved making mistakes or running into issues because that was when I'd ask Azzurra to step in and show me how to fix them, as I will inevitably make those mistakes and run into those issues again in the future. That type of teaching is invaluable and I know that I will have Azzurra's voice in my head when doing makeup for many years to come, which is surely the highest compliment! I also cannot leave this review without mentioning the incredibly talented Jana. Jana taught us several times during the course, and was an invaluable resource for us all. Again, she was there to help us when we were going wrong and she answered all of our questions - believe me, there were always so many! In terms of course content, you are taken through the different looks and given the opportunity to practice each of them. It's really good being able to practice looks on different students each day, as you are able to adapt the look to different face shapes and skin types. There is a real camaraderie between the students as you help each other through the looks. Ultimately you are all there because you love makeup and that is so infectious! I particularly loved speaking to other students (and teachers!) about what makeup they used and loved. I have discovered so many new gems that I didn't even know existed. Thank you so much to Glauca, Azzurra and Jana!

If you are serious about make up and want to work in the industry then this is the course for you. I thought I knew a lot about make up and techniques until I joined Glauca Rossi, the training is very in depth and the teachers are extremely knowledgeable. The kit provided is fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I have learnt a lot about editorial make up but also great techniques I can use for every day and bridal make up. The teachers answer all questions is great detail and the demonstrations were brilliant! 5 stars from me *****

I loved training at Glauca's school of makeup. it really taught me so much, not only about makeup itself, but also the importance of being confident and behaving on set / on shoots, with the use of 3 included shoots at the end of my course. Additionally, the teachers were amazing and so talented and really helped "train my eyes" into details of makeup. Glauca is also so helpful after the course, sending us emails of potential jobs that she has been contacted about. Would 100% recommend Glauca's school!!

Glauca Rossi School of Make Up will be the right place for you who is interested in Fashion Make Up, the curriculum teaches about different style of Make Up that are usually requested for fashion shoots or shows. In my 8 weeks of the course I learn more than 15 looks starting from the 20s, 50s, 60s, Editorial and many more... The teachers always make sure that students can achieve looks perfectly before going to the next one. Also, both teachers and principal of the school are very approachable and helpful even when you already graduate they still keep in touch with you... Overall, my study in Glauca Rossi has been a great experience!

Training at Glauca Rossi was one of the best decisions I ever made. I did the 8 week intensive course and absolutely loved it. The tutors Azzurra and Luciana are talented, full of knowledge and trade tips. We worked in-depth on many techniques, learned different 20th century decade looks and had space to be creative. Glauca is very supportive of the students and I felt like it was a place where they really did care. A great experience which I totally recommend.

I loved studying at Glauca's! The tutors are patient and encourage creativity so you can find your style as well as learning the fundamentals of makeup and skincare. The small class sizes are perfect as you get a lot of time with the tutors, who are talented artists and really good fun!

I decided to change my career and went to Glauca Rossi school of make up in London. Thanks to the dedicated teachers, I learned a lot! The teachers were very strict in a good way which helped me a lot to improve. I had amazing photoshoot opportunities after graduation thanks to Glauca, Azzurra and the past students. I also made great international friends during the course. I couldn't appreciate the school more.

I have big THANKS to this school! It changed my skills and techniques. Teaches were very attentive and professionals. When I chose new school for myself, first I looked at the graduates, on their work and only after I checked price, place, tools and so on. This is one of the few schools that can boast of its graduates. Even if I had strict teachers, I would be grateful, because in my understanding, there is no place for flattery in school. The price for me was not cheap, because I still had to rent a house, have pocket money, but for me it was a profitable investment in my career. I think this school differs from other schools in that it gives all the techniques that can be useful for make-up artists working in the fashion industry. Very well-built program in combination with really working in the fashion industry teachers. In the study kit, there are all the most nessesary and fashionable, often used colors of lipsticks and color shadows, I use and order until now, I like their quality. Loose powder in general a masterpiece. I recommend those who seriously think about their careers makeup artist and are ready to grow.

I attended the eight week course in the summer of 2019 and am very satisfied with the quality of this course. Please keep in mind that this isn't a school for bridal makeup, it is for fashion and editorial makeup. However, the techniques they teach in class will benefit anybody who wants a serious career in makeup and I could see myself visibly improving my skills in a matter of weeks. The kit they provide you is awesome. The eyeshadows are spectacular (I have never played with nicer blue eyeshadows in my life than the ones from Glauca's school) and the brushes are super useful. There is a wide range of good quality lipsticks provided from nudes to pinks to fun fashion colors like silver and gold. I also think the powders are nice as well. The course is about learning the looks from the 20s to the 90s. Whether it was punk or disco or the 90s supermodels era, we gained hands on experience because we did such makeup on our classmates every day. Before attending school I was very intimidated to apply makeup on my friends and family even though I was totally into makeup and wanted to be a makeup artist for years. But now I can say that I have the confidence to do decent makeup on pretty much anyone because I practiced a lot in school. The teachers are makeup wizards and are full of knowledge. There were so many times where I was totally in awe when they did their demos for us to practice. Their eye for the details is incredibly useful and they always pushed us students to improve every day. Truthfully, they were extremely generous with their makeup secrets and products they shared with us. I would say that for the person thinking about investing in this course, it really depends on the "end goal" of what you want. For example, if you're not ready to commit to attending school 10-5pm on weekdays, I don't think this school is for you unless you have a lot of spare time and cash in your hands. In my case, I wanted to become a great makeup artist someday and this was an investment for me - it took me years to save up for makeup school. But now with the knowledge and hands-on practice I have the tools to become one.

Had the best experience here and can't recommend it enough, not convinced the other more negative reviewers have actually been to this school! The teachers are amazing, with lots of experience in fashion, they won't tell you your makeup is good if it isn't which is just what you need to get better. Such a great 100% practical course. The opportunities after have been amazing too.

What can I say?....... I came here for a course in make up and I got an education in fashion, fashion beauty and beauty product history & industry etiquette . Not to mention amazing secret make up techniques. Azzura Bonaldo & Luciana Andriano are Maestros and I cannot thank you enough for their style, knowledge and sincere care and attention to every student in my class including me . Glauca herself is strong , beautiful & iconic. So inspiring. She leads the school like a captain of industry. She is personally involved all the way. The best course for me to enter the fashion photography make up industry. You are guided through the decades of make up ranging from the 20's right through to the current day Trends. I found the course invaluable and a great way to launch my career. Teachers were friendly and helpful, each from a different background in makeup, which I found v interesting, as they had a wide range of experience. Would definitely recommend this course

The training is impeccable, the teachers are attentive and make sure your individual needs are cared for as well as the various incredible opportunities I have received through the school after leaving. My experience at Glauca Rossi is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I learnt more than I ever have in such a short period of time, I think this is due to the way the school focuses on teaching you to do different makeup styles that are extremely important to be able to master as they are so iconic in the industry. You're taught to do these looks on different faces ( canvases) which is the key to success in becoming a confident makeup artist.

Attending Glauca Rossi was one of the smartest decisions I have made. I came to the course as a complete beginner with no prior experience in makeup. Within a span of three months not only have I have acquired the basic skills required from a professional MUA, I have also been able to develop my own style as an artist. Classes are small to ensure students receive personal attention by tutors. Tutors are encouraging and patient. After graduation Glauca proactively participates in referring students for different opportunities. I highly recommend this course to all future MUAs out there!

I attended the short course last April and I honestly can say I loved it! I had wanted to go since I was 14 (I'm now 21, attended at 20) I had a wonderful class, small so it was more intimate with every teacher that we had. Not only did you learn the iconic looks of the decades but also how to modernise them for current trends. The teachers also go through with you how to maintain a profeshional approach within the industry, such as contacts, technical terms and even some of their own personal experience throughout there careers. Finally, when you leave Glauca is always on call to help and is interested to see how you are getting on. You also get a contact sheet full of people to contact for test shoots for future work etc. Hope this helps! Xx

I had the most amazing time studying at Glauca Rossi’s make up school. The amount of effort the teachers put into providing the best level of education is incomparable and they truelly care about each student! I’m very thankful.

I went to Glauca's school over 4 years ago and I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions in my life! I'm now a full time freelance make-up artist and I have the job I love. During the course the teachers were very generous with sharing their knowledge and answering all the questions we had. The products I got were so excellent that to this day I use Glauca's loose powders and many more. I recommend the course to everyone who is determined to become a professional.

This school teaches you the highest quality of makeup application, it educates you on fashion looks (past and present) and also allows for individuals to develop their own style and concepts. Amazing experience, if you want to be a make up artist I really suggest you to attend Glauca's courses. Great teachers with different backgrounds and styles will show you how to create stunning looks starting from the basis to achieve the most artistic vision of make up. Where do I even begin. First of all, huge thank you to Glauca, who has been nothing but supportive from the very first start. I decided to attend the 12-weeks course in summer 2018 and we were a group of very individual and fantastic 6 women. Besides me and one other girl, the rest did the 8-weeks intensity course. Throughout the course you practise on each other, which is a very valuable experience. Getting your makeup done by someone else, you realise how not to do certain steps or do them differently, how much pressure to apply, etc. During the first week we learned the basics of makeup and started with the first decade. Each look was scheduled for 2-3 days, depending on how fast everyone understood the techniques of the look. Throughout the course, we learned the most important and most influential decades that shaped the makeup industry and are still majorly influencing today's makeup looks. What I liked most about the 12-weeks course instead of the 8-weeks was, that I had another round of lovely faces to work on after the intensity course finished. I was also able to really focus on my photo shootings, practise the looks and try out different looks. I was also able to redo some of the decades that I struggled with. The teachers are nothing but wonderful. Tania, Azzurra, Lily, and Laura were such a pleasure to be around and gave us all the insights of their experiences. Reading previous comments, I cannot disagree more. If you decide to attend the course, ASK ASK ASK as many questions as you can. You are right at the source of very talented makeup artists who have assisted and still assist major makeup artists. You will be surprised by how much they know and don't even get me started on the tips they gave us. Also, kindness goes a long way - especially in this industry. The comments made below about Glauca and other teachers are, in my eyes, not true. And if so, I'm sure it was a two-way street. Glauca is such a lovely lady and I cannot wait to tell her where the journey will take me. Again, she has been nothing but supportive since the day I contacted her and for that I am and will be forever grateful. So have been the teachers, which will always be close to my heart and my forever mentors. Regarding the makeup kit that is provided, I do understand the comments made below. HOWEVER, it all has a purpose. You are given a basic kit that includes very basic foundation that has to be mixed in order to find the right tone/shade. Believe me, it is harder than it sounds. You learn to look at everyone's skin tone and evaluate the shade to match it accordingly. Most of the brushes are lovely, some of them are, at first a bit confusing but as the course progresses you will realise that the purpose of those brushes is not necessarily to make your life easier but to LEARN the techniques properly. Blending for 5 minutes - absolutely. Why? Because you need to learn to find love in the detail and what blending actually does. The colour range of the eyeshadows is amazing and the formula is really good. You also get a great range of lipstick colours. The school is an investment and this career will continue to be an investment. You have to spend a lot of money on building your kit but this course gives you the freedom to not be biased by certain brands and to trial and error with different formulas, etc. If you're lucky, your fellow students let you borrow their products and vice versa :-) Also, this is a makeup school specialised in high fashion (!) and the real world starts, when you're leaving this course. So take as much information with as you can!

I'm previous student, I guaranteed that this makeup school is definitely the best in the world! We've got various teachers, they're perfectly talented, patient, warming! What I learned is not just skills, they're also trained my creative, inspiration, express ability... etc. I also got various opportunities to do work after school from Glauca, which is I truly appreciated!!! I don't think that's common in other schools, or any other system of makeup course. Glauca is the most unselfish, generous, artistic, classic, kind, best leader I've ever seen!!!!! Extremely overpriced course. Kit provided isn't enough to get you through the course, you'll need to buy a bunch of other things. One of the tutors were really rude. I highly recommend you go to another school. Please save your money for a course elsewhere.

Since graduating from Glauca Rossi's school of makeup, I've had some big opportunities working in the fashion industry (Harper's bazaar, vogue germany etc.) and it goes on...i will be always thankful for that. I have had some brilliant teachers who taught us through the decades of makeup and pushed us to our limits. I have certainly wanted to get advice from professionals within the fashion industry. ( One of the reasons, why i have chosen this course) And honestly, the course was very often tough and the teachers were strict and brutally honest if they did not like your makeup. Best way to get better. The fashion industry is without mercy and i have gotten the skills and knowledge to be able to understand what it takes, after i have finised this course. Your portfolio will become the most important thing after gratuating - its your body of work and its very important to focus on- even if it seems a lot for some people, dont underestimate it!! This course gives you the possibility to leave not only with skills and knowledge but also with professional pictures!! Thanks to Glauca Rossi!

I had a very very bad experience in Glauca Rossi, she was being very nice on the first day when I come to visit the school, however everything was changed after your joined. The makup kit we had (which worth 1,600 pounds she said )was so so bad, all her products make your skin breakout a lot, and all the shades are in pink tone, but most of the time we need use yellow tone, so we have to buy lots of makeup by ourselves. Even the teachers don't like her products at all. I was in 8 weeks courses, in fact it is 7 weeks course because the last week was preparing two shoots, in the first 7 weeks you are practising on someone else for 3.5 weeks and the other 3.5 weeks you are model of other students. You are not allowed to have lunch at school, even you brought your own lunch, you have to eat it outside the school, and you are not allowed to wash brushed at the school, only your hands. The facilities are very poor, I spend 6,000 pounds for this course already, and we have to buy way to much things for this course. Glauca was very racism, and rude, none of us like her, it was very windy in London, when we back from lunch, the wind push the door quite hards, so it was a little bit lound when the door was shut, and she was shouted very very lound from upstairs. I think the price is too much for all these, think ahead before you pick the makeup school.

Hell! Waste of money and time, trashy instructors, no respect to students especially to international students, local instructors have no manners nor experience dealing with multinational environment, judgemental over race, color, religion and nationality, instructors trash talk about each other and about past students, Conclusion, if you are not a native British stay as far as you can from this so called make up academy. To be fair, Gluaca is not part of the unhealthy scene in her academy, shes mostly not involved and detached from daily routin, her bad local instructors even trash tack about her and her products in front of the students.

Spoke to a guy on the phone who was extremely rude to me so I took my business elsewhere.
