It's okay. Nothing more than you'd expect. The facilities are good however, it's just dull.

This is one of the nicer gyms I've used. See-through windows line up the outer perimeter, so natural light can come in (best during spring and summer), which can help you maintain a positive mood during your session. I don't think the prices are that good though and they keep increasing every year. If you're a student not enrolled at Worthing College, expect to pay £37.50/pm plus a £47.50 "joining fee". If you're with Northbrook College, and have easy access to the Broadwater campus, I suggest you sign up there instead because it's much cheaper and is nowhere near as busy as Splashpoint.

Went there today. What a ripoff - had to wait 50 minutes because the pool was too busy and then the slide was shut because there weren't enough staff. On the first Saturday of the school holidays? Really? My kids were so disappointed - we will not be returning ????

Worthing Leisure Centre - rumours of new bikes coming. After many years of being a member, originally of the Aquarena, and ultimately South Downs Leisure - it is with horror that I hear there is the potential of new bikes being installed at the Leisure centre- the same bikes that are now in place at Splashpoint. For years I 've attended spin classes [double classes], on a Monday and Wednesday. Since the new bikes, I've stopped these classes. I now notice there are more of the 'old gang' now training at the Leisure centre and all have the same story to tell - the new bikes are not good for tall to tallish people's backs. The problem? There is nowhere to store your water bottles on or near the handlebars, rather, the design of these new bikes is so poor that you are having to almost reach to the floor to grab a drink - this is not good and a pretty poor design as far as I am concerned. Once again, it looks like the powers that be at the Southdowns Leisure are spending money on equipment without consulting regular users. If the current bikes at the Leisure centre were properly maintained, there would be no issue. Weekly now bikes are out of action, sometimes up to 6! Those that are left have: seat stems that suddenly drop [usually when you are sprinting]; have the computer display not working; computer display intermittently working. NOw frustrating training with these bikes, which are by far the best we've had. Please re-consider replacing them with bikes that ALL can use. Don't really want to cancel my membership after 28 years but that possibility is now on the horizon.

Good facilities all round, sometimes could do with a clean but all in all a great addition to Worthing seafront.

If you are coming here for a fun time all that stops the minute you put your foot through the door u look around at the crowded vestibule and see the lack of staff and the tiny eating area. The changing area is poorly designed with inadequate baby changing facilities. When you finally get to the overcrowded pool if it hasnt dawned on you yet then the realisation of why you bothered coming here will hit you hard. Who ever designed this place should never be allowed to design anything again and who ever let the place be built quite frankly should not have that sort of power. Though when you go round worthing and view all its other low points such as teville gate brooklands and the guildbourne centre you will see how it fits in well.

Gym, classes and staff are great but the place stinks! The management here can not get the on top of the cleaning! carpets in the members area between changing rooms and health suite absolutely reek and the toilets downstairs by the pools are disgusting. I've been in the loo after a "cleaner"was in there and they must have been blind/untrained - because there was still splattered crap on the seat! Nappy bins were absolutely stinking last week too.. And there are nowhere near enough showers. I can't help but think that for a town that is supposed to be building more housing and increasing population - this facility isn't big enough, don't think the council were very forward thinking. Also - what happened to the outdoor pool? has it been open this summer?

Great place to work out during the day and not feel so intimidated by the pumping iron health freaks that tend to invade late in the afternoon and evening.
