The seats are so uncomfortable in the study room, always cold and extremely hard to find a plug socket in 2020 to charge my device.

Very well maintained and a very helpful public resource. As a tourist, it might be worth dropping in to see the architecture itself, but as a local it has much higher value in the access to the wide array of books available. Technology …

I an extremely disappointed in how they have done a butchery of the original internal architecture. It should have been a grade 1 listed building. The old mesmerising Harry Potter, feel has been bulldozed to a clinical white washed tardis …

Staff especially Security are completely useless many who just stand/quickly walk around to act as if job is actually "done". Noise, chatter, unruly children and food of all sorts are permitted making for an unsanitary public place that is very seldomly cleaned

Exactly what a modern library should be. So many books, so much information, small and medium media exhibitions, and overall a great community space.

Well, it's a shame the public library is closed on Sundays. What other options people have on a Sunday? Go shopping? Go to a restaurant ? Why not keep at least one library in Manchester open on a Sunday so people who don't want to spend …

Turned up a couple if minutes after the cafe closed, all I wanted was a cup of tea but the staff member wasn't interested. Great place but the customer service has a bit to learn.

Beautifully updated in the recent renovations. The old reading room has been maintained - it's great to see it still being used as a place of study. Lose yourselves in the libraries archives, we recently found a book that was first checked out in 1918! The new library is modern and has great collection.

Huge and quiet reading room on the upper floor, and in the surrounding corridor pupils and students practice their singing and piano skills in many small spaces. The library definitely deserves its grade II* listing.

Fantastic Space, great collection, awesome staff, the is a near perfect Library and the best public library I've seen across 3 continents. The outside could do with a bit more green areas as well as the rest of the city centre, but this is £48 millions very well spent (Birmingham's cost double)
