WARNING: Avoid at all costs. TAKE HEED OF ALL THE 1 star reviews left by real people needed their cars fixed. 1) The main problem we wanted fixed was not fixed, Martin fixed something else that we didn't ask him to fix on this occasion 2) Martin fails to understand why this went wrong and how it could be avoided in future with other customers 3) Martin told my wife something which was untrue. At worst, it was an intentional lie to be dismissive of my wife's complaint, at best, it was another example of poor communication skills. So what happened: The EML came on our Audi Q5 and we wanted it diagnosed. Martin told us the inlet manifold needed changing. This was our priority as not fixing this can cause serious engine problems. Martin explained this to us, and showed us a manifold he changed on another car. He explained what can happen if this isn't fixed in the medium term (engine failure). We also had an issue with our air con and the car needed servicing which we discussed but this was secondary. The priority was the serious problem and the cost to fix it was around £600. My wife picked the car up today, he had fixed a flap for our air con and charged nearly £300. He did not fix what we initially came to him for. The EML is still on and the inlet manifold is still not fixed. He fixed another problem which we didn't ask him to do. When I asked him about this, he told me that he did what he had written down in his diary. This was his only answer, what he had written down in his diary. The only fault Martin can see in his work is that he didn't complete both jobs (even though we didn't ask for both jobs to be completed). He doesn't understand that the way he does things can lead to him, the mechanic from not understanding his customer's requirements. I trusted him and his garage. I do not want this to happen to other people. If he had checked his notes with us as a customer to make sure he has understand our requirements, this could have been avoided, Martin was dismissive of this point. At first I thought it could be an honest misunderstanding. He accepted some fault and offered to change the manifold at cost price. After speaking with my wife, she said that from her discussion with Martin, when picking the car up Martin told her that I had told the garage when dropping the car off that I was dropping it off for the temperature issue (related to the air con). This is not true. HE LIED. At this point, Martin and Lion Garage have lost credibility and I've decided to get this job done elsewhere. I really wish I had read all the google reviews on here before deciding to take my business to them

Good service, friendly and approachable staff

Costs run fairly high with this garage. Due to this I have found a garage that provides the same level of service at a better price

Fitted my Audi in a short notice, fixed it quickly and at a much cheaper price than I'd been quoted by Audi. I was really impressed that they fully explained the fault, and the repair options. Will be back next time I need a service or repair.

Fixed my car and gave me honest advice! Even were happy to attempt to deal with the warranty company on my behalf!

Staff were rude and tried charging me for work that was not carried out. When I tried to ask why am I being charged for this, the staff member (receptionist) began to get annoyed and through all the paper work ie my personal details in the bin and said "next time go to VW, don't come back here". This was bang out of order when he was clearly just going to check what was wrong with the car and not actually carry any work out which he didn't even complete. Would definitely not recommend this place. This is my first and last time i would ever go there! Gins garage next door are so much more helpful and friendly!

This garage has saved me numerous times in the past few months I bought a Leon that I didn’t know was rotten and they have brought it back to life trying there best to make sure it hasn’t destroyed my bank acount in the process there fast reliable and fairly priced!

Useless I had my passat towed here by these guys a while back as it kept cutting out. Martin at lion garage told me it was a battery I went to pick it up paid the £180 bill only for it to breakdown on me again. He then had my car for a week and told me it was ready and all sorted only for me to pick it up and for it to breakdown again. Had to take it to another garage Huncote motors who diagonised it as being the fuel pump and sorted it out. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE

Completely disgraceful, if there was an option to give half a star i would hesitate to give it. The disrespect from the boss is amazing, if anyone is looking to lose money, waste time and have no progress on their car, this is the place to come.

I took my car for a recent Service + MOT after a couple of unsatisfied main dealer services. I was recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint! The customer service was excellent and the waiting area is a nice, pleasant place to be, with drinks facilities and toilets. The car needed further work that while not urgent or an MOT failure, it needed doing to prevent a costly repair in future. I was clearly advised of this, with no pressure felt to suddenly go back. I decided to go back again, as the Service and MOT was excellent, and again, no issues with this work either (and genuine VW parts was used, at my request). For the two times I have used Lion Garage, the car was booked in all ok and the work was completed all on time! Brilliant!!!

took my audi s5 in for a diagnostic got there first thing and parked up the manager arrived and parked right next on my right side i had to move the car just so i could get out before even listening or even taking the car into the workshop he diagnosed that the car needed a new cam chain which took me by surprise & thought this guy is a genius, anyway they took the car in & 45min later i was told the engine had to be taken out & new cam chain was needed along with other problems, bearing in mind i had a diagnostic carried out a week before & i showed him the results of that diagnostic, he insisted that the work needed to be carried out for a cost of £3000 yes £3000. He charged me £35.00 for the diagnostic & i left in disgrace. today i took the car into a audi specialist who carried out the original diagnostic & they fixed the problem for a grand price of £600 Lion Garage are a bunch of thieves, how can they predict a problem without even taking the car into the workshop MY ADVICE DONT GO TO LION GARAGE ... " I WANT MY £35.00 BACK "

Wouldn't use again not very good. Told me worse case £590 a week later bill came to £1500 and still had to take it back a day later oil spilling out everywhere. First and last time I'll ever use them

I was recomended to lion garage of leicester by a friend so i gave them a call regarding the coding of my ecu for a multifunction steering wheel on my audi a4 b7 model i had bought the wheel from a chap that had removed from his own car in full working order after he had upgraded,i bought a brand new loom for it from main agent,so after a call to lion garage i was told yes no problem and was quoted £30 .. great,, quick trip to them they instantly looked and set about the job only to find they needed another code.. so i took the car back to them to leave for the day..and was then told the price would now be £55.. fair enough,i left the car and called late afternoon only to be told WE CAN'T DO IT componant error!!! so early next morning i called back to collect my car to be told i now have to pay £60+vat before they would release my car as they had spent some time trying.. i told them i was not happy paying more money than quoted for a job not done,, will i return to the lion garage leicester when hell freezes over perhaps

Absolutely ridiculous took a Bmw to him and ended up driving a vauxhall out the garage
