We have used Brownings for my previous car and current for MOT's general maintenance, and for random issues. They are based round the corner to us and have been very helpful, kind, courteous, efficient, and cost effective. They provide a great service, and go the extra mile. It's obvious to see that they love what they do from how they go about their work and it's a pleasure to see whenever we've needed to use them. Couldn't recommend them highly enough...

Had a great experience with Brownings, took a misfiring 98 Cherokee XJ Jeep in, its had a lot of modifications so not the easiest thing to work with. They got stuck in and fixed all of its engine issues and its now running great. Really good place, will be going back!

I have been using Brownings for 15 years for both annual mot/service and other repairs/tweaks on a variety of vehicles. The staff are lovely and can offer advice on all things ' motoring ' as well as fitting me in at a moments notice for a general check if I'm going on a long journey. They are very professional and friendly and I think they are

Nice, professional. Dropped in to the garage as my car started making an odd beeping noise when I braked. The team were booked up but did me a massive favour by taking a look at my car. I'd never been to the garage, and didn't have loads of work done, but they were super friendly, courteous, thorough and went out of their way to help me. I'm not used to garages, but I was really impressed by their professionalism and courteousness and I got the sense that they were reliable and thorough. They said it's family owned business with history, and I felt that - I felt it was a business with heart. It's also quite beautifully situated and airy. Thank you!

Excellent customer service, they made an appointment with us quickly and professionally. They thoroughly checked the car and highlighted issues, that we had suspected were there, but other garages had missed. They were honest and really easy to deal with, could not recommend higher.

I cannot recommend this garage highly enough. I was a regular customer until 2013 when I moved to Manchester and had not used them for several years until last week when I was down in London and had a problem with my car. I called in on the off-chance that they could help me and Miles could not have been more helpful. Within 5 minutes the car was up on the ramp and fixed within 20 minutes. And to top it all, they didn't want payment. Exceptional service, do use them.

Feel ripped off! Called up to get a quote for a service. They said i had to book it in for them to check what had to be done in order for them to give an accurate quote. I thought fair enough so i booked it in.
When i turned up i asked again if they could give me a rough idea and they said no they had to check it first. So i left the car with them for a few hours.
They called up and gave me a quote (which happened to be £200 more than my normal garage) which i kindly declined.
When i turned up to collect my car, they advised me that i had to pay for 30 mins for them checking the car. I argues that this is not fair as they never mentioned this when i called or even when i dropped off the car! The mechanic simply apologised and insisted i had to pay! I then argued that i will not pay the full price (£54) i shall only pay half! Which he agreed but hesitated to agree!
I'm sure they're good mechanics, they all are, but just be upfront from the beginning!
My regular garage is in harrow (audi & vw specialists) so i thought I'd try someone local even if it meant paying a little bit extra but the quote was £200 more!

Incredibly helpful. I needed a quick 10 minute job done and had called other garages in the area which told me to book in for the following week, seemingly disinterested as I wasn't an existing customer or going to earn them a big invoice. When I dropped into Brownings, on the other hand, Matt was so helpful and got straight onto it despite the team being very busy. I had never used Brownings before and so was particularly grateful for him going out of his way to assist. I will be using Brownings again, and I recommend you do too.

The team at Brownings Garage have serviced and repaired my vehicles for over 10 years and the service they supply just gets better with each visit. Recently I was left stranded outside their garage late on a Friday evening and without asking Miles, his team and even his father David stopped what they were doing and jumped into action to rescued me, all for no charge - unbelievable! What a team, what a company, without doubt the friendliest and most professional garage in town!

Not everyone is lucky enough to live within walking distance of this family owned garage but Brownings is an iconic part of our neighbourhood. They are completely fair in their pricing; they may not be the absolute cheapest but they are reasonable and the quality of their work is beyond reproach. The place is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Best of all, the people who work here are welcoming, friendly (even the dog) and utterly professional. They stick to their promises and keep in touch during any repairs if they have questions or options for us to consider. We have trusted them for 30 years and have never been anything less than delighted with the service. There aren't many business of which I can say the same.

I took my car in to have a sidelight bulb and a headlight bulb replaced.
They did it immediately and said there was no need to pay anything.
Incredibly friendly, efficient and generous.
Three months later: Another bulb went, and this time not only did they fix it immediately and for no charge, they spotted a soft tyre and checked them all.

Took my car here on advice from the previous owner, even though I live in East London and the garage is in North London. Had a service plus I asked for some other things to be looked at as well. The service was brilliant, my questions were all answered without making me feel car-illiterate. The car was well looked after and communication was great! Was really happy with the whole experience and will definitely be back :).

You couldn't find a better garage if you tried. They look after our family cars instead of the main dealers, because they are passionate about them and clearly enjoy working on them. Where else does the owner of the business drive to your house at 7am, remove a wheel , take it with him, fix a puncture and then drive back to refit it just to save you the inconvenience of having your car recovered? Where else do they put up with a bumbling wannabe mechanic standing around in their way whilst they work on his car? Where else do they have a shop dog???? You'll never find a cleaner, tidier more professional outfit and you'll never find me going elsewhere.
