Anthony is fabulous! I've lived in London for over thirty years and have never been able to find a trustworthy mechanic. That is until a good friend of mine recommended Anthony. He is punctual, efficient and was quick to diagnose the problem with my vehicle. Above all he is honest and I trust him implicitly. AM Vehicle Diagnostics fitted an electrical output socket to my car so that I could plug in a number plate / light board to use when carrying bikes on my bike rack. Service was quick, reasonably priced and professional. Would highly recommend.

Very good! Got the car running in minutes, after spending so much money on a car thinking all sorts. Should of called here sooner, would of saved me a lot of time and effort and money. Who knew it was an aftermarket alarm causing all my problems?! Good guy, would recommend to anyone, professional, polite and honest, can't fault, honestly can't fault. The guy has decent prices, he's punctual and has great knowledge as a car electrician. He solved a problem with my car which AA guys couldn't deal with. Having had an unsettling experience with one of Anthony's competition, it was with some trepidation that I booked AM Diagnostics.
He apparently had an extremely busy diary, but managed to fit me in for an initial diagnostics check that was to be 20 pound cheaper than his competitor.
Not only this, but he had already done his homework and had identified my Mercedes as being in the crossover period between one car diagnostic system and another, and therefore would bring ALL versions to cover himself; a wise man.
He had made some assumptions which he checked as he went along. What immediately appealed to me and my son ( a budding engineer himself) was that whenever he either challenged his own assumptions or was questioned by us, he did not reflexively respond via ego "I am right" or similar, but took the time to check, and if necessary changed his opinion.
After a lot of work, well beyond the initial hour, he had cleared down the codes and given us instructions and what to do before presenting to him again for further diagnosis.
Overall I found Anthony (owner) to be well-informed, naturally inquisitive, personable, well-presented with a vast array of relevant diagnostics tools, meaning there was no "oh I left that part elsewhere"
I will be using AM Diagnostics again to continue diagnosis and cure.
Plus he likes dogs - always a plus with me.
He would only take the attendance fee.

No delay in getting a visit appoinment and Anthony arrived on time.
Work is done very professionally and manner is friendly and knowledgable.
Prices very reasonable.
I've used them twice for different jobs and will continue to do so when I need to get any work done.

Fantastic service. Spot on diagnostics after few minutes! Repair carried on my driveway next day! Was quoted by VW £1500 for repair, and 2 weeks wait. This fella did the job for £200 and completed next day.
Turns out VW didn't even plugged laptop to my car and the problems were completely somewhere else!
Yes, he's charging £45 for diagnostics, but do not expect talented professional tradesman with HUGE car knowledge, up to date registered and calibrated high tec equipment, that allows him to find problem within minutes (unlike VW DEALER!), to do it for peanuts. I

5/5. Visited AM diagnostics today and
was greeted by Anthony to diagnose EML.
Took the car in as was experiencing minor reduction in engine performance, some engine vibrations and car would occasionally misfire. Anthony hooked the car up to his OBD and after a visual inspection suggested plausible faults, in my case, faulty inlet cam sensor.
Fortunately in my case, I actually had a genuine new cam sensor to hand as had the car previously diagnosed by a different mechanic and was comparing findings / costs.
The previous technician quoted me £120 for diagnosis / labour to fit the parts I purchased (cam & crankshaft sensor).
However, I definitely made the right decision taking my car to Anthony who pinpointed the fault directly to the cam sensor and visually showed me the difference in electrical resistance with the old part and the new part using his multimeter. Not only did Anthony resolve the issue but he did the work at half the price and saved me changing the crankshaft sensor.
I know how difficult it is to souce a decent mechanic / technician who knows their way around an engine and be price competitive at the same time....Anthony didn't disappoint.
He was polite, knowledgeable, well equipped and provided good customer service considering I needed the work done at short notice.
First impressions of AM Vehicle Diagnostic....very happy and I'll be doing business with them again for sure...highly recommend you visit here first!
