I don’t like to give a bad rating to a charity shop but these guys deserve it! They charge crazy prices for clothes and other items considering they don’t actually pay for their stock and they’re also tax-exempt. You’ll find Primark items in here double the price of actually buying them brand new in Primark. It’s not ok to rip people off like this & they’ve been doing it for years now.

I used to shop here and found good service and quality of garments were great quality! But its gone down hill with reopening.
Rude Manager and just generally poor stock avoid go to another charity.

I couldn't believe how rude the guy was over me trying to donate items telling me they wont accept my book donation and I had to take it all the back home.
Very rude staff both times I have been in and the gentlemen have been obnoxious! Really not a charitable shop! He then muttered started being rude about me as I left. Very unprofessional.

Picked up an item clearly marked at a price, on both of a pair, went to purchase and was told this was "never" the price they were marked up at. Felt offended and wouldn't recommend shopping here.

I have been into Marie Curie charity shop in Highbury & Islington a few times recently and I am happy to say that the lady, Pauline I think her name is who has dealt with me a couple of times is very knowledgable about the clothes in store and very chatty also helped me to put items together as left to my own devices I would just buy black clothes. The atmosphere in the shop is warm and friendly. This is the reason I keep going back.

Very good shop though to be honest, the clothing prices are level with Primark so there is no point in paying the prices they charge. But its great for books, bric a brac, wall pictures and random things. Unfortunately it attracts some people with bad hygiene and it's impossible to shop there.

I am myself a volunteer and work part time in order to support my community. Charity shops were my go to, because I could afford it. Well it looks like not anymore, this shop I always used to buy here everytime I went in, but in the past months I always leave empty handed. The prices are ridiculously high for second hand items.

The shop is well maintained, and the staff are all very nice and helpful, however, based on prices of second hand items, I would hardly consider it a "thrift store" as the description suggest. I have lived in the area for nearly 20 years and during the last 2-3 years I have seen the prices of the items raise considerably. It is for a good cause, although not a cheap place to buy anymore.

I absolutely love this shop, the staff are just lovely, always cheery and very committed to their work, busy beavers all day long, I look forward to going for my weekly visits and I find it very therapeutic as I suffer from depression and often feel lonely and isolated, so I get to make a contribution to the Marie Curie Charity while enjoying a short respite from the crazy world we live in, the customer service is just brilliant..
