Dear Bluebird Care Westminster. My name is Professor Ian Hall and i have been using your service for over a year now and i am enormously impressed by your care. In this day and age with the manifold ailments creating very many vulnerable individuals, a good caring service is imperative in the lives of destitute people, Bluebird provides such a service with sincerity and truth. Your staff are most excellent in particular Miguel my care service manager someone who is of the upmost charm and great imaginative sympathy. Last saturday he and Valeria organised an excursion and escorted me to the Hornimam museum followed by a delicious lunch overlooking the beautiful RiverThames. (It was a day out as shall never forget and treasure amoung my memories). Coming after a period of sickness as you may know in which i was literally plugged from the jaws of death by the horrible covid-19. The pleasure it gave me was tremendous with fresh courage to deal with the difficulties which had prevailed until that happy excursion. I must say since i joined Bluebird care i have become more optimistic and cheerful about life. I must congratulate you and all your staff in the tremendous achievement and positive impact in my life. Hope one day to have the pleasure to meet all the office staff and thank you all personally. Kind  regards. Professor Ian Hall

We have been using Bluebird Care Westminster for full-time live in care for my father with Alzheimer's for the last few years. The level of care from the individual carer's in the home is excellent. What truly sets Bluebird apart from the previous care agency that we used is the management and oversight. Our Care Service Manager truly understands the needs of our family and goes above and beyond to provide a personal and outstanding service. I would strongly recommend Bluebird Care Westminster.

Review: Bluebird has been caring for my mother who has advanced dementia for the past two years, initially for daycare which then progressed to a full live-in package. The service has been essential in supporting my mother and our families’ needs. We have been particularly impressed with our Care Manager, who always goes the extra mile in ensuring the very best care and outcomes for my mother. His help and support have been vital in ensuring the best possible outcomes for her and matching suitable carers to meet my mother’s requirements. The service has been responsive and professional; carers are well supported and trained and the care plan is updated efficiently to reflect changing needs. The service is a vital a valuable support for us.

Can't express enough how grateful we are to the team at Bluebird Care (Westminster), from CEO to admin team and the wonderful carers. They should be very proud of the work they do. We were at our wits end with a previous care provider, and the difference between the two was like night and day. We urgently needed to get some adequate care to replace the agency that went before, and the response from Bluebird from the moment we made an enquiry was considerate, empathetic and professional. They contacted us at the weekend, an assessment was booked within days and wonderfully talented carers in place by the Friday. Our only regret was not finding Bluebird sooner. Sadly we weren't aware just how fast my fathers health would decline, but the kindness, care, professionalism and support provided while they were involved was wonderful. Even on the day my father passed away, they worked tirelessly on arrangements to have carers on the ground to support Palliative Care. Outstanding service.

My close friend who lives at St John's Wood has been looked after by Bluebird Care for a number of months. He has been very happy with the care that he has received. He was recently involved in a road traffic incidfent which resulted in his hospitalisation with serious injuries. I had been very concerned regarding the arrangements for his ongoing care when he was discharged from hospital, since he had a bad experience following an earlier hospital stay in March. I was therefore relieved and delighted that Miguel and his team had gone out of their way to ensure that he was well looked after and that his care arrangements were well coordinated with the hospital ward and other agencies. Thanks and congratulations to the team.

I have no problems regarding the first year of Bluebird Westminster’s tenure as my mother’s agency. In the second year I had to terminate their involvement with my mother’s care. The carers themselves were generally honest and diligent but were increasingly let down by a management team who created impossibly demanding work schedules as their care franchise grew. Care visits became unreliable, with regular extreme lateness and bad time-keeping in general just one of the issues. It was clear the carers were being pushed to the limit in the second year with scant regard for their well-being. As my mother has dementia it is vital that her care can be relied on. Carers frequently complained to me about their treatment by the office coordinators. At least one I know of gave notice and left after being regularly pressured to work extra 4 hr shifts having already completed a 12 hour day. A senior member of the office team made a false report to me regarding my mother’s medical well-being. I had to follow this up again and again over three months before they reviewed their own recording and finally upheld my complaint. It was not a carer but her superior who had lied. Requests to modify minor aspects of Ruth’s care were usually ignored. Even her social worker was disappointed to find her own recommendations hadn’t been implemented two months later. As far as the CQC were concerned, perhaps the worst failing was the creation of false records of attendance. A carer logging in as present for her care visit when she didn’t turn up was a grave example of this agency’s failure regarding my mother’s care. I finally lost faith in this company as one able to give my mother the care she needs. Though a manager was eventually dismissed over these and other failings, it was clear that senior management were more concerned to hide and minimise the extent of the agency’s failures. I made a full report to the CQC. I’m very pleased indeed with the new agency whose diligence regarding Ruth’s care surpasses Bluebird at their best.
