Got my hair dyed by Will on Monday! Such a lovely experience, everyone in the salon was so approachable and chatty and made me feel very comfortable ..and I absolutely love my hair! After Will advised me what dying technique would best suit me, I opted for balayage! He managed to achieve the exact look I wanted and I couldn't be happier, both the cut and colour looks great! Not only has he done a fantastic job, but he was also very informative about the process and how best to care for my hair. Will definitely use this salon and Will again!

The haircut done by Jason, the senior stylist and owner of the place, turned out to fabulous. Love the care and time he took to make my coarse messy hair bouncy and full of life. Great service from beginning to end. I had a lady who has only been there a week make me coffee, take my coat & bag & wash my hair - she was lovely, professional & even though she’s new to hairdressing felt experienced :) I had Hadrian cut, blow dry and restyle my hair. I’ve not had it done in 3 years but he was great, respectful & has definitely made me want to return and use Kinki and Hadrian from now on! Top notch would definitely recommend. X

My one star is for the owner of this establishment and his awful and vile attitude that I witnessed towards a customer. The lady who did my hair I think her name was Norma, she is the colour specialist manager and is such a lovely lady. Sadly I didn't get my hair finished as she was amazing. She was very professional and tried to help out as best she could. I had been sat next to the customer who had been treated so badly by the owner for a couple of hours and chatted with her.. I did step in when I heard how she was been spoken to and seen how upset she was, he was equally as rude to me as it was "none of my business" . But as a new customer myself this isn't how I'd expect to see a customer treated and was awful to witness in front of the whole salon. He spoke to his staff equally as bad and should really be ashamed of himself.. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.. I certainly wouldn't line the owners pockets after what I witnessed today. Customer service goes a long way and he certainly has no customer service skills. I hope his staff find someone who will respect them more and treat them well and move on. My advice... AVOID AVOID AVOID

Thank you Jason. Went in to Kinki Boutique Hairdressing Salon today, left with amazing haircut and a real feel good factor. I was made to feel at total ease through out my time in the salon. I would recommend Kinki to any one who want a high quality cut, that is easy to manage.

I've never treated myself to a first class haircut by a top stylist..always thought I couldn't justify the cost. But boy oh boy. I have to say, never ever will I go anywhere else. The salon is so chic ...bustling with activity, an air of friendlyness. So relaxed with COLE...MY HAIRDRESSER from now on.

Had my hair cut last week by Charlotte. She was amazing, she recommended treatment for my broken hairs which every other hairdresser has ignored and it has been a big problem for me for a while. She put me in a fringe and did an amazing job - I love it! Would highly recommended :)

Went to Kinki today for the first time! Bloody fantastic!! Cole, new to the team, took one look at the mess I'd made with the kitchen scissors and although there was no appointments he said he'd do it now! I would recommend Cole, he has worked magic on my mess of a hairstyle! Cole sorted it out and gave me real cool haircut without taking hardly any off the length! He is funny and friendly and I went from looking like Joan of arc to a neat little pixie cut!! Definitely recommend him!!!!! Kimmy Voisey xx

I’m one of these “last minute customers” and only booked my haircut and hair conditioning treatment yesterday (Saturday am) and it was great that a Senior Creative Stylist was available on Sunday which I think is quite rare.
I felt welcomed the second I came in, even though both Jason and Charlotte were busy with other customers. I had a lovely coffee to enjoy within a minute :-)
I was recommended a special shampoo to refresh my ombre alongside my conditioning treatment that worked really well in just five minutes. I decided to get one for home, as I was explained really well how to use it and because small amount goes a long way - Redken brand is amazing.
Jason made lots of effort to find out exactly what I was after before I had my hair washed. Within five minutes, I felt like I was having a chat with a good friend. He was very thorough, spend lots of time creating layers, as my hair is quite heavy and there is lots of it. Jason is someone who loves his work and truly cares about his clients. He was very professional in spite of his back pain and did an amazing job. I did not feel pressured into buying products or booking another appointment - but I wanted to :-)
I would definitely recommend Jason to anyone who is looking for an experienced professional that pays attention to detail and makes effort to get to know his clients.

I posted a very negative review a couple of weeks ago after having a terrible cut and colour by Charlotte. Well since then I have been back and had a complimentary colour correction with the lovely Norma and a complete restyle by Jason. Both went above and beyond to correct my hair and resolve things. People make mistakes in life but it’s how you go about correcting things that matters. Once Jason knew about my compliant he sorted things out in a professional way and although I was nervous about going back in he made me feel very welcome and no hard feelings. Thanks again Norma and Jason.

Today I had my cut and colour, not my first time at Kinki in fact I’ve been going for 10 years on and off, more on than off I might add, I never receive and thing other than the BEST service! All the staff are so lovely, helpful and very professional, my stylist is Jason and I can safely say no one has ever styled my hair ie: cut and finish like he does, he is an amazing hairdresser! If you are reading this I highly recommend kinki boutique for all your Hairdressing needs.

Always a friendly welcome, you never feel out of place here and a cup of tea, or coffee, is always offered.
Jason & his associates take every care to relax you and make you feel pampered - I love my scalp massage - and will cut either as you request, or (in my case!) Suggest a suitable style.
I feel like this is one of my little personal treats on each visit and I leave feeling just that bit better about myself and the world in general ????

Had a hair cut and blow dry done by Greg today. Love the hair cut, friendly staff, well worth the money. You can tell by looking at the hair style that you've been to a decent salon. I had bad experiences in the past where I would pay £70 for cut and blow dry and looked like i had came out from the crop shop. Will definitely go back. Thank u.

I am one of those people that don’t like getting their haircut & find it difficult to feel comfortable with a stylist.
I am so happy that I found this salon & Jason.
All the staff in here are so lovely and friendly & professional.
It is a very well run salon.
I been twice now & it’s the 2nd time I’ve walked out feeling amazing & never want to wash hair, cause it looks so good.
In the 80’s when hairdressing was predominently a female role, there were a few male hairstylists, back then, I always thought the “male” stylists where on “point” & the best, which the salon owner and my stylist Jason is & not only in his skill of hairdressing, but he is very professional, polite, kind and treats you like a good friend you’ve known for years.
He knew what my hair needed, guided and advised me all the way through, makes you feel & look like a Star.
I would ???? recommend Jason & all in Kinki Boutique.

Yesterday was my first visit to Kinki on recommendation from a friend. My stylist was Caroline. What a fabulous experience it was. She listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me a fabulous new hair style based entirely on my hair type, my brief to her and of course using her extensive knowledge as a hair stylist to give me the right cut. The cut is fabulous - so good that I was able to manage the styling myself after washing it this morning - not always easy in my experience. She concentrated hard on making my experience a good one. No idle inane chit-chat, just a really happy atmosphere generally. I would thoroughly recommend Kinki and my next appointment has already been booked. Brilliant all round. I had a haircut and colour with Will and I couldn't be more impressed with the outcome of my hair or the level of service I received. My hair is quite long and I went in for a balayage and trim with the aim of lightening my hair as much as possible. The colour and effect Will created with the balayage is amazing and I am really impressed with his work. It took around 5 hours from start to finish and Will really went the extra mile for me, staying late in the salon to curl my hair and get it perfect. I would absolutely recommend him and the salon (which has a friendly and fun atmosphere to go with the talent!).

Previously I have been really happy with my hair at kinki, as per my previous review, but I was a little disappointed this time.
I started off with my hair colour in the first picture and asked for a strawberry blonde colour (2nd picture) and ended up a dark red/brown(3rd/4th pictures). Although I wasn't it expecting to turn out exactly like the picture I showed, I hadn't expected it to be so different. I was also aware once it was that dark getting it any lighter was going to be difficult to then fix so accepted it. However, I was happy with the actual cut just not the colour.

I have seen previous work from Kinki's and been impressed. My visit was on a Saturday morning so busy, good atmosphere. Colour fantastic and nice experience. Sadly let down by senior stylist. My head got burnt by hairdryer (had to tell him) and to be honest I could have got the same cut in any walk in salon. He acted as if it was all too much of a bother. I was supposed to have 33% off as first visit. First he argued with me until another stylist agreed that was the offer. He then spent ages attempting to work out the price, then charged me exactly the quoted price without discount. I wouldn't have minded if he had asked someone for help. I didn't feel a valued customer which was a shame because it began great with the colour. I did not say anything there and then as I didn't want to make a fuss in a busy salon. I will email them as I think I would want to know if a customer is not totally happy.

Overall pleasant experience at this salon. I had the pleasure of getting a trim while in town visiting family. Prices are not exuberantly expensive and the woman who cut my hair (I can’t remember her name for the life of me), did an excellent job! The establishment had a good feng shui, with experienced stylists and a kind front desk worker. I would make this my go-to salon, if I didn’t live all the way in Los Angeles.

Very intuitive and personalised service! Nice to have a patient hairdresser in Jason who will gladly work out the particulars of style as well as general form before getting stuck in. Had far too many haircuts in the past that felt like perfunctory repetitions of practised moves and ended up not suiting the size or shape of my head/face at all. Will be happy to go again.

This company is absolute trash. I got one bad haircut from them several years ago and they have sent me SMS messages regularly ever since. They offer no unsubscribe option and I never gave them any permission to use my data for marketing. They openly violate GDPR, which has now prompted me to report them to the ICO. With a bit of luck, the resulting fines will see them shut down.

I personally love the environment of the boutique and enjoy chatting with the people that work there. Service has always been great and I feel satisfied after every visit. Worth every penny...If, like me, you view getting your haircut as more of a life event than a routine task, you're going to be pretty picky. I am new to Norwich and had tried a couple of places which were nice enough but left me feeling a bit 'meh'. Not the case with Kinki. Friendly, professional and clearly very experienced staff. Experts in their field who not only know how to give you exactly what you want, but are happy to take a little time with you helping you to decide and articulate what you want. If you are looking for the professionalism of an established salon - but with that little bit of an edge - you can't go far wrong with Kinki.

I had a cut and colour at the salon for the first time today. I was made to feel so welcome and Charlotte listened to everything I said I wanted but also respectfully managed my expectations. For years I have left salons feeling underwhelmed and unhappy with my hair as the stylist always seems to do what THEY want. However, Charlotte gave me completely what I wanted and worked with my natural waves and and style and for the first time in about 10 years I left the salon without wanting to instantly tie my hair back and restyle it when I get home. I’d also like to mention Bex who looked after me while my hair was having various treatments and listened to me waffle on!! Defo will be back and recommending to my pals!

What a lovely friendly place this Hair Salon is! Being new to the area I was extremely nervous about picking a salon to try. And thankfully I picked right. Laura coloured my hair beautifully and is such a lovely, chatty person that I felt really relaxed. I had my hair cut twice, first time it was good but the second time was with the owner who talked about himself, showed zero interest in what I wanted and gave me one of the worst hair cuts in many a year and then had the cheek to charge me for a 'restyle' I only wanted a cut! The salon looks quite grubby, and needs a good clean. Website is totally out of date, with therapists featured on it that no longer work there, which shows total lack of attention to detail. Not what you want when you are having a haircut. I will never go back again.

I came to this hair salon as my current hairdressers was closed over Christmas. I can't fault the haircut was very good but the price was very overrated £48 for a men's haircut. For that price I would expect good tasting coffee and the service to be 100%, for a lot cheaper in places like Garners you can be made to feel like 1000bucks with very welcoming staff and nice coffee luxury surroundings for a lot cheaper.

Absolutely love this salon from the staff to the decor. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by polite staff who are more then willing to help and give you advice on the large range of reasonable priced products sold. As for the hair cut its amazing never left unhappy, this is from somebody who hated getting his haircut after going to various other salons and leaving like I have just left the butchers chopping board!!! Definitely worth a try great value for money book with jason

My 14 year old daughter had a restyle today with Jason she is over the moon with it! She is mixed race and I've taken her to numerous salons with no luck in the past so for her to be happy with her hair is a first it was more than a haircut for her it has made her love her hair. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff and although it was more money than I'd usually pay it was defintly worth it to make my daughter so happy. We will be back. Big thankyou!
