Horrible customer service as others have said. I had a bad experience here a year or so ago - I went to my appointment, waited and on sitting down with the optometrist, she told me that the date was too close to my last appointment so there would be no point in her doing the test (surely not great for business also?!) She was extremely confrontational and made me feel so uncomfortable. I was reminded of this after speaking with the same staff member over the phone more recently - they still had the same aggressive manner. I understand if someone is having a bad day but that is so excuse to speak to customers so rudely.

I wish there was a minus star but there isn't so have to provide 1 star.
Had an awful experience recently with an optometrist called Shinal Shah. Her behaviour was shocking. Rude, aggressive, confrontational, condescending, abusive and whatever other words there are to describe such mannerisms.

Awful. Disgraceful and shocking service. Optician; Shinal was so rude. When questioned why she was being so rude she blocked the doorway so we couldn't leave. Unprofessional and shocking. Horrified that such a huge company allows such awful staff to continue to work there. Boots, you really need to pay attention to ALL THE REVIEWS saying the same thing. Never again. STEER WELL CLEAR.

I’ve always been really happy with boots optician (Oxford street or Angel) but had to go to the one on Tottenham Court Road, for eye test + lenses, really rude staff (except one really nice and helpful lady), always on their phones. One guy (with a beard) was explaining to me the scheme but stopping 3 or 4 times to read his (private) messages from his phone which was on the table, never seen that before! Put it in your pocket I’m sure it can wait!
Also talking to me like I was a 2yo... I’m French not stupid! I’ve been in this country for 9 years so I’m pretty sure I can understand if you talk to me like a normal human being ...!
Really hope I Won’t have to go back there !

Avoid like the plague. So It was time to get new glasses and I decided to try boots as it's close to work. Optics where cheap and plasticky, price was much higuer than specsavers, both my glasses broke after 3 months, unmotivated and slow staff, I could go on and on. What a terrible mistake getting my glasses at boots! Never again.

I was 4 minutes late for an eye testing appointment. The time given to me was 15:50 pm and I reached at 15:54. The receptionist asked me to sit and then the optician told me, she can’t see me as I was late rather rudely,although there were no other people waiting or being checked at that moment. Definitely at fault as I was late but 4 minutes and the rudeness ?

According to my clock I was only 7 minutes late to an eye test at Boots Tottenham Ct. Rd. I tried to call on my way but the line was buzy.Optician called Sinal was very rude, making my lateness longer than it was, she first said it was 7 minutes, then 10, then 12. I asked about the complaints procedure and she first gave ne the number that led to herself, then when I went back she shouted a number to me, then when I asked to write it down she finally gave me the number for complaints. All in a very unprofessional manner. The consultant called Rolanda even tried arguing wirh me and her tone was very unpleasant. Don't go to this place, their attitude is like selling apples on a maket stall. Very unprofessional. I asked to be removed from their services list.

I had an appointment booked for an eye test that I could not make. I called them the day before as soon as I found out but the line was busy. This morning a guy calles me 15 minutes before the scheduled appt with an irritated voice telling me that I have an appt at 10.05. I apologise and let him know that I couldn't make it and while I am still talking this very rude guy hangs up on me. I call him back and let him know that he's been very rude and instead of apologising he takes the piss of me. Never seen such horrible customer service in my whole life. Very disappointed from Boots to such horrible staff. Definitely not going there anymore. I am buying my glasses elsewhere.

The most awful service. The manager is outrageously rude, has shouting matches with customers and refused to accept valid discount vouchers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

As a big name like boots they should take this review into consideration. Customer service is so so poor, the staff was careless, rude and procrastinating. I had to chase them for almost a month for an issue with glasses and prescription done there and wanted to return them.
