I am here now waiting for my Mom to have her appointment. I am noticing how very sweet, caring and accommodating the staff is to the patients. Even the staff checking people in at the desks and the door. They have all been great. I know it’s not easy having to be a patient here. And it can be expensive but sometimes having caring staff can make an world of difference. There’s no need to be unkind (as I have experienced in my own life at doctors offices) when the patients are already going through so much. I hope they keep up the good work!

Same care you would expect from main campus in Manhattan, at a satellite location. Excellent for follow ups if you live in this directions, or Pennsylvania.

I mistakenly thought my appt.at Sloan was a week before it was. My husband and I were on our way before I realized the mistake.Quickly called and told them my mistake and she told me to come in as we were halfway there and we are from out of town. When I got there, no one had any record of someone telling me to come in for appt. Needless to say, they could not fit me in for my pet scan. They finally said they could fit me in at 4 as there was a cancellation. I was there at 11 for my appt and had not eaten since the night before due to the fasting for the procedure. I could go on and on how disappointed and mad we were at the incompetence of someone telling me to come in at 11. All me and my husband wanted was to know that someone would be held accountable allowing this to happen. After much discussion, we decided to wait till 4 as we had driven all the way there. Unfortunately it was during covid time, so we had to wait in car in parking lot. Pouring rain! At least they did tell us if they could get me in sooner, they would let us know. With a stroke of luck, they called about an hour later and said there was an opening and to come inside. Thank you to Maxine and all the team members in the radiology department. You restored my faith that Sloan is the best. I know that we were both short with words being said, but when I came inside for the test, I was treated with the upmost respect. Your department was the best! We still believe there is a flaw in your appointment procedure. We wouldn't have had to endure the situation we went through. No one seemed to know who we spoke to that told us to come in. I can't blame the radiology department. They finally did the best that they could. Thanks again

Very expensive, stay away. This place thinks every patient is a millionaire. Even minor procedures involve exorbitant fees for the physician plus pathologist plus “hospital”. So you get three big bills. Even if your insurance covers most of it, the 20 percent you pay is jaw dropping.

Your directions have you turn into the wrong place, one left turn too soon.

I had a very bad experience with an oncologist here and went elsewhere. I felt she was rude and condescending and not very sympathetic to my plight. I was really surprised because of the reputation Sloan has but I went elsewhere

Despite Sloan supposedly being the best they fail at many things. 1. Being on time— they typically run 1-2 hours late. After urging patients to be on time they don’t seem to be able to have the same respect. 2. They fail to know anything about nutrition, supplements or anything outside of pharmaceuticals. Despite mountains of research they choose to ignore it. 3. Team work- they have protocols that actually prevent doctors (your doctors) from talking to you. 4. Science- they harp on science but don’t explain the science or give you clear explanations of the science. 5. They have bowls of candy at the reception desk. What is that? Sugar feeds cancer. Are they really trying to cure people here? It sure makes it look questionable. Just another day sitting and waiting at Sloan Kettering behind schedule over 70 minutes and waiting.

My father is a patient at the Basking Ridge location for about 2 years now and the service is nothing less then 5 stars. He was seen at Memorial Sloan Kettering almost immediately when he was first diagnosed with prostate cancer. The entire procedure and ease for the preparation of the surgery took the stress away from a scary diagnosis. Dr. Robert Smith and his staff have been amazing throughout the process of the surgery and follow ups after the surgery. The receptionists and nurses are super attentive to my father. I am the one who confirms his appointments online, but my father prefers to speak to an actual person to tell him about his appointments prior. This place goes the extra mile to make my father happy. AMAZING SERVICE!

I'm stunned at the number of 1's given to Basking Ridge. My wife was treated there for 6-1/2 years for breast cancer. She passed away in 2017 due to it. I cannot say enough good things about MSK. Professional...competent....the nurses in the chemo bay were outstanding. As was my wife's oncologist and neurologist. Many of them took personal interest in my wife. It meant a lot to her. If you are looking for cancer treatment I wouldn't know any place better than MSK.

I traveled from Wisconsin to see Dr Anthony Mato. I must say the experience was exceptional. From Dr Mato to the nurse, to the lab staff. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. Dr Mato took the time I needed to answer all the questions I had, and made sure to ask me several times for more. The team made me feel at ease and showed compassion for my condition. Thank ypu!!!

Phenomenal service. From the time we arrived--the door was opened for us by the guard, a wheelchair was fetched for us, the valet took the car, no ticket because he would remember who we were. Upstairs--private wait rooms, warm and caring staff, warm blankets :-)

Have been dealing with Sloan since the diagnosis. Honestly the best care we have ever gotten. The doctors, nurses, assistants all go out of their way to help and always supportive. Very fast on everything they do, the tests come back right away, doctors call with results themselves, always someone available to speak. Would never go anywhere else for the care, and they always make sure they are taking care of the patient .

I live in Central New Jersey. This office is much more convenient for getting my labs and CT scans than having to trek into NYC to the main MSKCC hospital.

My mother in law was scheduled to receive her 1st radiation treatment at 6PM. Clueless staff had her waiting in the changing room for over a hour. Checking in again at 7:15 and they have no idea when the treatment would begin. Obviously this place is the minor league of MSK. Don't waste your time with this place.

Very grateful to have such an incredible resource nearby. Cancer is complicated for both the patient and medical team. When you have an org that takes this seriously it makes all the difference.

I CALLED THE MAIN NUMBER FOR A MAMMOGRAM APPOINTMENT 38 TIMES AND NO ONE EVER RESPONDED. JUST GOT MUSIC. AS A FORMER EXECUTIVE OF THIS ONCE-FINE INSTITUTION, I AM APPALLED AT THIS POOR PERFORMANCE. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MSKCC???

Not enough negative things to say about this facility and how they handled the care of a family member. For a place that is supposed to be "the best", all we encountered were lackluster, disinterested employees. Get it together

A "fast track" needs to be set up and utilized for those needing only a neulasta shot or other less than 5 minute procedure. Still waiting after an hour and a half. Will consider other options for future treatments.

My wife has past away for one year now from Stage IV colon cancer. I have been very sad and has been blaming myself for not finding a better doctor and hospital for my wife. I was very hopeful in receiving treatment from #1 Cancer Center Memorial Kettering Sloan. We tried every way possible to get an appointment at MSK, and has finally secured an appointment. After paying the initial consultation of $1200 because our insurance was out-of-state, we were told that MSK could only provide the same chemo treatments as our local hospitals in New Jersey. We were very disappointed and devastated but we did not give up hope. We continued to look for clinical trial, and found a match online that was located at the Basking Ridge location in New Jersey, which was closer to home. After waiting for two month of switching to an in-network health insurance with MSK. We have finally waited for an appointment with the only colon cancer specialist at the Basking Ridge a month later, we received the bad news that the clinical trial is only available in New York. We contacted the New York MSK office about getting into the trial, but the office ask that it can only happen with an MSK specialist referral. We went back to Basking Ridge location and waited for 3 hours in their office with my already very weak and sick wife to beg the colon specialist to please send her as an referral to the clinical trial in New York Location. He promised to call the office and make the referral, but on our drive back, we received a call from the Doctor that there is no match for my wife and she cannot make the referral. Throughout the entire 4 month span of seeking for doctor appointment and finding clinical trial matches. We have lost the most critical 4 month time of a very ill and terminal disease patient. My wife’s health declined rapidly and the cancer grew viciously in the time and I lost my beloved wife. I am disappointed in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and it’s doctors. I have no met one that was willing to proactively seek for better treatment options for my wife and did not give any suggestions to improve her health. The life of a terminal disease patient in the doctor’s eyes are not worth their time, but to the patient’s family every hope to save the patient or even prolong the patient’s life for a couple of days is precious.

Don't waste your time with this place. You will die before you can find somebody willing to do their job and make an appointment. Have been calling for 4 days and kept getting sent to voicemail. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I never would have thought we'd encounter such unprofessional, uncaring & incompetence in a medical facility. From the staff to the Dr's. They are not just rude but paranoid! We were consulting my father's oncologist, i had my cell phone on my hand to pull up my notes & information i stored in my phone that I intended to ask the Dr. About & before i could do so, the Dr. Obnoxiously ask " are you recording me with your cell phone, I'm not comfortable with that!" Cleary now that paranoia makes me wonder if i should have been recording her. Additionally her reception staff is completely rude to the point where they see you waiting for their assistance but rather than acknowledge you they continue to talk & laugh amongst themselves. When the one decided to address me he callously ask can i help you, while continuing to write barely making eye contact with me..I literally had to ask him to finish what he was doing so i could have his full attention. Lastly EVERY time my father goes for his chemo treatment he has to wait 40-45 min just for them to get the medication up to the room for administration despite being there hours before and having an appointment..Oh, I forgot to mention the infection he developed because the Dr. Forgot to remove a stent during his surgery..total incompetence from beginning to current & looking for a new physician & facility!!

The Infusion Center seems almost wholly indifferent to the time of the scheduled appointment, often throwing the patient schedule for the remainder of your day into disarray. Frustrating and offensive! Additionally, docs tell you they’ll refer you for additional services but rarely follow through, necessitating several follow up calls from the patient to request these services, and no one holds himself accountable for getting it done! This seems to be a cultural norm and requires management attention.!!!
