The Huntsman is one of the very best hospital's in the US!! Their record speaks for itself. I have spent about 15 years driving back/forth from Oklahoma. With no regrets

My recent experience as a patient at the Huntsman Cancer Iinstitute working in cooperation with the Univ. of Utah Health Care system was outstanding. The customer friendly environment of the Cancer Institute has had a very positive influence on University.Health Care. It would be wrong to lose this cooperative arrangement. Many thanks to John and Karen Huntsman for making it happen. This is an opinion based on more than forty years of personal experience working with both John Huntsman and the University. Dr Owen Ash

What does one say about Huntsman. There super professional. Going here to see a doctor is like going to nice hotel and spa. The food is good and the people are nice. It does not get much better than this when your dealing with what brought you here in the first place. Everyone treats you with respect and care. And to top it off free Valet parking.

The doctors and staff are the kindest and most professional people iv'e ever had the pleasure to know. They took care of my mother as though it was their own mother, and treated her with dignity and respect. The staff went above their job duties to make sure that my mother was comfortable and that the family understood what was going on, also what we had to do at home once we left their care. This experience would of been a lot worse if it wasn't for the staff at Huntsman institute. My mom is cancer free now, My lord and Savior answered my family and friends prayers by taking away this death out of her body and by giving us such good people to help my mom get through this scary, scary time in her life, not just my mom but the whole family. Thank you for everything you've done for us and may God bless you and yours.

This was my first cancer diagnosis and to say the least I was a little scared....From the moment we arrived at Huntsman I felt like I was at the perfect spot. Everyone cared about making my husband and I feel like we were their no. 1 priority and we felt like we were. I had surgery about two weeks after my first visit and was in the hospital for 3-4 days. I never saw one person the whole way through my time there that even acted like they were having a bad day or bad moment, you would have thought I was at an expensive resort and they were my wait staff....I have never felt so loved or taken care of in my entire life and I am 57...I live about 3 hours away in Idaho and I tell everyone if you have to hear the word cancer just go to the Huntsman as fast as you can....They call the road or driveway Circle of Hope and for me that's what this whole place is about giving you hope and the BEST care in the world during a time that can be really scary and hard. The visit to Huntsman has changed my view of cancer and my view on medical treatment forever....I could only hope that they could be my hospital for everything....I will continue to share with everyone I meet that the Huntsman is the best place to go if you want 1st class treatment, there is a special place in my heart for every moment I spent there. I can't thank you enough!!!

I had major surgery at University of UT hospital and now receiving chemo at Huntsman. Without exception I received excellent care from housekeeping to physicians. I am an RN for 40+ years and I know what quality care is and these folks are tops!

Warm, clean, amazing environment. More like a 5-star hotel than a hospital. Each infusion chair has a TV and a beautiful view of the Salt Lake valley. Over 300 studies to keep cancer care on the cutting edge.

Excellent staff, beautiful facility. Very worth the 12 hour drive to get here. I'm grateful for the care these doctors provide; the students are lucky to get to study under these physicians.

They do amazing work, this institute.... only thing SLC needs now is to get proactive about getting the air better so to PREVENT the carcinogens in the air... thus helping these folks do better quality over quantity.

Great facility. Wonderful staff, counseling, cafe, free valet. Nurse and labs are always fantastic. Docs are sometimes not the best, don't listen well, especially if you are not textbook...

This hospital is okay. There are several good nurses and doctors however there are also several not so good nurses and doctors. It depends where you end up within the hospital. In the infusion area we experienced great nurses that made one feel very welcomed and helped to lighten up that fact that one has cancer and being treated. In the ICU (I believe floor 4) the nurses were horrible and the doctors could use better bedside manners. I would try to avoid this area and maybe ask to stay at the ICU of the University hospital. Secondly and most importantly, I would not seek treatment from this hospital if I was a stage 4 or even stage 3 patient. The doctors don't do much for you if you and they treat you like a loss cause.

The absolute best place for health concerns especially cancer. I have been to many hospitals and clinics and I couldn't find the proper care for my rare disease until I went to the Huntsman cancer hospital. By far the greatest place, saved my life literally. I would highly recommend this place over any other.

EXCEPT for the infusion scheduling department this is a great facility. Infusion scheduling needs sensitivity training and understanding that not everyone fits into their typical boxes. L Kaye

The staff, and volunteers are so nice, and helpful. I am so thankful for the Hope Lodge. The chemotherapy progressed the cancer. The stents placed in my ureters were to big and caused high levels of pain. After chemo and radiation the big stents pushed through my bladder causing a fistula. They gave me weeks to days to live.

I just returned today, 9-19-17 from having another procedure there. This place is a true life saving center. The entire staff that I have delt with, over 8 ablations and a scope on my esophagus, have been incredible. They have valet parking and two cafes on the premises. While the patient is being cared for, friends and family can be refreshed.

Nice but but no wonder treatment costs so much this building is overkill to the max in wasted money. A bit of confusion between protocol among staff. Overall competent people.

my best friend was told his gbm brain tumor was inoperable by Cleveland Cancer Hospital in Cleveland Ohio, he was told to go home and die in 30 days. Huntsman team gave him two more years of good quality of life overall. What a great team.

The care I received was stellar. Everyone, from the surgeon and oncologist to the housekeeping staff was very, very caring, efficient, and helpful. In fact, I'm now having a little trouble adjusting to healthcare outside of Huntsman. Now that I know what healthcare CAN be, I am very aware of what it is NOT in the "non-cancer" world. I am grateful to have had Huntsman and all it's wonderful resources available to me.

All reviews I read everywhere on this hospital talk more about the kindness of the staff, and the beautiful views. Wish there was more about cures and specific advanced research and techniques. Not much review in that. If I'm dying, the views my help my mood, but they won't save my life.

Smells great, not like death or hand sanitizer like most hospitals, amazing view, there's a professional playing a piano in the main entrance most of the time, they have valet parking, a snack cart that comes around and gives you free food, plus amazing food at rediculously cheap prices upstairs in the food court. The doctors almost killed my dad a couple times by giving him the wrong medication on accident, but as long as you have someone there 24/7 watching everything that goes into him and making sure the doctors don't do stupid things, you're good :)
