I've used this optician since it opened and I'll keep going back. The welcome is friendly, the service supreme and I feel I am much more than a number to the staff. Pauline, the receptionist is a real asset who always remembers me and James, the optometrist is skilful and trustworthy. Highly recommended.

One of the lenses of my sunglasses fell out while visiting Brighton. I popped in to see if to this shop to see if they could fix it. The staff member who helped me was great and fixed it in about 5 minutes. He didn’t charge me and cleaned them. Great customer service. Thank you so much.

Bought my Wifes Last two pairs of Sunglasses here and was A Pleasure. But Not Today Was treated and spoken to like I was a naughty School boy for picking up a Pair of Sunglasses I was intending to buy. Never again.

Terrible service, we attended this optician on Saturday at around 11am. The customer service was terrible. She saw us waiting at the door, chatting to someone in the shop. Opened the door and said “can’t fix them” “can’t and did not even look at the broken frame. Closed the door, was very surprised that 1. Did not look or care 2. Offer us a new pair. We walked around the corner to Eyesite Optitians on 47/48 North street. Not only did they repair them they did not charge us anything. We will definitely go back to Eyesite again.

James is great, looks after his patients well, remembers your little problems from the time before. I am forever popping to get my specs straightened out, normally after I have sat on them, it's never too much trouble to sort them out for me. I will always go back. Miriam

I have been a Clulow customer for decades and a Brighton Clulow customer for at least 7 years. James does a meticulous eye test, gives honest professional advice and is delightfully friendly, and Paulina helps you choose the right pair of glasses. The range is more expensive than some can afford - the accent being on designer stuff. But for those who are particular about the look of their specs, this is a great place to buy them.

Hard sales and bad service.
I do understand that taste is subjective, but we're talking glasses that sit unevenly, hide most of one of my eyebrows, even after the staff attempted to adjust them several times when I came to collect them (after looking noticeably uncomfortable...).
