Alexandra Care Home

I am a singer entertainer, and I do enjoy entertaining folks in care homes throughout the east and west midlands, many homes are clean, welcoming, and warm, others are a little less... But one in particular is of the lowest standard I have ever encountered.... Alexandra Care Home....not exactly a place where I would like to be in my older years....

Live at the back of this and constantly hearing crys of help and distress from the building. Please do not send relatives or friends here! There is also a light shining into my kitchen which we have requested many times to be moved, angled differently or turned off at a certain time but this has never been sorted after several months and many complaints.

WARNING. please DON'T let your loved one go here. REASON they will never come out ALIVE. The DON'T care for your loved ones at all. I should know. I have seen lots of falls & abuse. The SO called care reasons DON'T care & tall They are NOT medical trained at all. By the way the care home I'm on about is the one in Long Eaton near the island is oposite Eaton Farm

I am an agency nurse and this home is bright and clean the carers are so patient and kind to the residents they get physical and verbal abuse on a daily basis and never react and continue to be kind and caring

I'm banned from visiting mum due to complaint put in 16th January 2018 as mum was walking around Wilsthorpe island after staff left kitchen door open I've also complained about lack of staff and fluid I went 125 till 5pm residents given 1 drink this has continued to happen the whole time mum's been there plus using disabled residents as door stops in the lounge is not ideal and not getting written responses from the manager by law she has to respond but choses not to improve fighting this to the bitter end and I truly hope everyone else speaks out about any problems at the home
