I came here for Thyroid Surgery and from the moment I stepped in the door I was treated extremely well. From the Receptionist to Surgeons I had 5 star service, they put me at ease and were very professional. I would definitely recommend this hospital to everyone. I would like to thank all the staff that looked after me while I was there.

I was in here yesterday for a small operation, from the moment I walked in through the door I was made to feel relaxed & comfortable. Every member of staff was extremely friendly & couldn’t do enough to look after me. I can highly recommend the Cromwell Hospital & I would like to thank the staff for everything they did for me.

I was an outpatient at this private hospital a few weeks ago and the service was amazing. I saw a brilliant doctor who was so understanding and willing to listen to all my concerns which put me at ease. It wasn’t rushed which was also good. The pharmacy gave my medications instantly. This hospital provides an outstanding service and I highly recommend. Thank you!

Too pretentious for what it is. It took me one hour to get a ct scan. No apologies from anyone. Waited a total of 45 minutes and the last 10 minutes in a claustrophobic room.

Great hospital service but don't visit their dermatologist Dr. Robin Russell-Jones. Very unmotivated and arrogant chap who offers no real insight, is totally unempathic with patients suffering, He talks with a condescending manner and seems only motivated by Cashflow.

Absolute shambles of a hospital, do not waste your time going here. HCA & BMI Clementine are far superior. Please do some research before spending your money. Only good thing here is that pathology are operated on walk in basis, waiting time is fairly short. Other than that, worst experience ever.

Been here just for an outpatient appointment, but highly impressed overall. The covid secure practises were great, the reception a bit slow given everything was booked in advance but the consultant was excellent in diagnosis as well as not ordering needless tests. Also the pharmacy, whilst a bit slow, was very reasonably priced for a private prescription

This Hospital is a great and massive building , fully equipped with all facilities , but they do not have the right doctors for the right place ! I am sorry to say that for my 2 experience in this hospital , one of the Doctors secretary drove me mad , I give her zero from 10 for her administration work ( Donna Edmonston ) Mr Power secretary , which didn’t send me my clinical report till now over 3 weeks from the time I was Scanned or to my health insurance . although I filed a complaint from her with the hospital patients compliant department ( Daniel Dawson ) he is also a lazy person and since 11 days he didn’t take action in my complaint . Administration is zero in this hospital management is also zero In this hospital , Doctors zero in this hospital , but the building is nice and looks like there is a big investment made but zero managements . I will not make my surgery at this hospital even if it is last hospital in the UK.

My review is for the children's services. I could not fault the staff or waiting area. Waiting times are short to none and the level of professional care was second to none especially given my daughter needed blood tests at just a few months old. No easy task. Very clean and safe. Professional and new equipment and procedures are 100% focused on making the infant comfortable and happy. Feeding room and play area onsite. Cafe offered ample choice of the usual. When I walked through the adult wing however it did look dated and they were wheeling a patient in a bed through a cramped waiting area. I felt awkward for the poor man. The children's wing looked fresher.

Doctors are very nice, they greet you and you get a general conversation so you feel comfortable. After being treated by the NHS for many years for my skin condition, nothing had improved. Ever since coming here it has improved, and I am grateful for it. Keep up the good work.

I am thankful for the doctors for the advice and the treatment that they provide to my sister. Here doctors also provide you with emotional support and the charges are not high.

Today, Monday the 20th of July '20, I walked in with a cut on my left forearm, (small accident near Earls court). Just asked for first aid kit, plaster and antiseptic wipe. Assitants by main door, I guess security staff, were very very nice and assistive., I was taken to nearby desk where two nurses assisted me., Very very big thanks to all of you.,

Staff is is nice and mainly helpful, but queues are lately ridiculous. Waiting for each appointment (even a 15 minute one) around 1 hour. It is extremely disrespectful and there's lack of consideration of people's time. If the volume of patients is too high, they should employ more staff or take onboard less patients.

I underwent laparoscopic surgery here this past week. Having visited this hospital as an outpatient on several occasions, I've come to known Bupa Cromwell as a very good facility. This past week was my first time being admitted to the hospital and staying overnight. Everything prior to the surgery was fine. The room was lovely and I felt well taken care of. Following the surgery was where the issues began. When I woke up at 8:30 pm, I was extremely out of it and in pain - having just been put under on propofol and literally cut open - and the lead nurse was planning on discharging me the same evening. This seemed unreasonable and I was already overwhelmed by having just woken up. I was then told what happened during the procedure right when I'd just woken up, which, due to the fact I couldn't quite comprehend my surroundings at the time, resulted in more questions than answers and left me in tears. I understood it was late in the evening, but it was hard being given news I couldn't quite understand and then left alone. I was then returned to my room and received dinner. After having told staff on numerous occasions of a food allergy that was recorded on my intake paperwork, received a side dish that 1. I did not order and 2. contained the exact food I am allergic to. When it was eventually decided I would indeed stay overnight as I was still in a lot of pain and completely exhausted (not shockingly), I was rushed out the next morning because it was 'not anticipated I would be in overnight,' despite my surgeon indicating I would be prior to the procedure. Finally, right before I left, I was having the cannula in my arm taken out and the nurse who removed it told me to take off the bandages when I'd be home washing myself. Given the nature of my procedure, in which I cannot shower for the following 48 hours, I asked her what she'd meant and she snidely said "don't you wash your face and brush your teeth?" I really don't like being one to leave a negative review. Genuinely. I can't imagine how tough it must be to work as a healthcare provider at this time. Furthermore, I understand surgeries are just starting again after a hiatus due to Covid-19, and there were some exceptional staff members who did their best to make me feel comfortable, especially a nurse named Anna, who could not have been more patient, kind, or understanding. However, I expected more out of a private hospital and am a bit disappointed in how things were handled following my surgery.

I enjoyed the bruschetta with tomato, avocado and feta which tasted fresh. The bread could do with a little more toasting but it was fine. The salmon and king prawn pasta main was well seasoned and the flavour was nice but the pasta was a touch under. Overall quite good. Oh I should probably mention the knee operation was fine, too ???? Professional staff, excellent facilities.

I guess it was the least informative and valuable full medical check-up in my entire life ( the same time one of the most expensive for my insurance company). First of all, I've been asked to pay directly to the doctor (despite it should be covered by insurance) +got charged more ( because the doctor sneaky called the appointment as a cancer treatment follow-up instead of medical check-up). When the hospital and the doctor got their money, they just ignored me. It took me 4 weeks calling & emailing questioning about follow up and my test results. Even then, I have been asked to pay extra basically to get the results. They have an advertisement for private jet flights at the entrance. If you cannot afford it, don't go—total waste of money.

Good hospital but the registration desks are always full and the waiting times can sometimes exceed the actual appointment time. Everytime this seems to be the case. Bupa cromwell you need to up your game if you want to compete with the other private hospitals!

This hospital turned out to be a great choice for me and I’d highly recommend them. I’m a very regular traveler and needed quite a number of some important scans etc to be well scheduled and handled quite quickly. The hospital went out of their way to support and gave me service beyond what I hoped. Every department worked well together, it was very smooth working out plans with them, great availability, short waiting times and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The doctors explained everything to me really clearly, gave solid follow on advice and prioritied me when needed. Feom my experience I’d really recommend this hospital.

I went to Bupa Cromwell got a blood test and other test done. I went to the shop Phlebotomy department and it was the best blood test ever done by a woman called Alex. Normally I faint and vomit but this is the first time where I felt nothing it was so easy. I reccommend Alex to do your blood test, the blood test was the best ever.

Had a triple heart bypass at the Cromwell and although I could have done without having the operation :-) the staff and facilities at the Cromwell were superb. The staff went the extra bit to make you comfortable and to give you confidence in making a quick recovery. Food was excellent. The combination of the facilities at the Cromwell and the Surgeons from Papworth was all that I could have hoped for and I'm sure helped me to make a full and complete recovery. I would highly recommend this Hospital.

You have to be White with insurance or Arab to get treated nicely, the GP that I went to a few times was very reluctant in caring and advising any further examination, it’s like I had to push him for what was needed. Instead of paying attention to details of my illness and proceeding with any tests necessary he was trying to gauge my wealth and judge me. And when I did the tests, he couldn’t even bother to give me a call to discuss the results but he sure likes to charge 150 pounds for 10 mins consultations which consists of asking completely unrelated questions. When I come up to a hospital like this and don’t have insurance it means that I can/am willing to pay for whatever is need, up to my capability.

This hospital is good for wealthy people all around the world or people who have British insurance. I visited this hospital few times. I noticed most of the patients are rich Arab people, or wealthy English & foreign people. For sure the consultants who have share in this hospital, would love to make lots of examinations for the potential patients. Before you see a consultant ask his/her secretary about the cost of the treatments. If you are poor person and do not have enough money, then you need to visit your local GP and be in the queue for few years in order to be examined.

Service at this hospital is indistinguishable from the NHS and obviously much much more costly. Most of the doctors and staff are NHS doctors. There is an argument for "paid-queue-jumping" but really there is absolutely no difference in service. Bupa, I assume you aim for better than this, but your procedures are set in the 1950s with paper getting thrown around everywhere and doctors that are presumably overworked and just not interested in the quality of care they are giving.

Good doctors and nurses, maybe, however, stay away from sleep studies and so-called “sleep lab”(!). The most incompetent and unprofessional service you would ever get at this hospital. Avoid sleep studies / sleep lab in this hospital. The hospital will be sure to charge you £2.4k in return for the worst service imaginable. More specifically, the sleep-lab-physiologist/technician is probably the most incompetent and -to say the least- recklessly unprofessional hospital personnel I’ve ever encountered. I was in utter dismay, thinking to myself, this can’t be a hospital! So, in a nutshell, Avoid this place! However, one must say, we were lucky to have the understanding support of the nurses of the neurological unit (gratitude goes to them) in effort to try and remedy the reckless absence of the single sleep-lab-physiologist/ technician responsible, who decided to go home and not answer the phone in spite of an ongoing sleep study that night in the hospital. Utterly unacceptable hospital service! Better turn it into a hotel or, more befitting, a hostel! Sent from my iPhone

We've visited the Cromwell for private Dr appointments, tests, and my sons' surgery. Overall we continue to have a positive experience. It's very easy to call and get an appointment, they are quick with the scheduling and are very well organized, allowing us to quickly navigate our way through appointments, tests and follow ups. There is a small coffee/sweets kiosk in the main lobby and an outpatient pharmacy. The cost of the pharmacy is more expensive than Boots or other local pharmacies so ask your physician to write the script so it can be filled outside of the hospital. This script is different than the normal script written to be filled within the Bupa Cromwell. The hospital rooms I've seen (in Children's Ward) were dated but clean and on par with the private rooms at Chelsea Westminster. I highly recommend Bupa Cromwell for it's Pediatricians, especially Dr Michael Markiweicz.

Took my four year-old daughter to see a private gastroenterologist at this hospital last week, the worst doctor ever encountered, the £300 worst spent in my life. If I had thrown that money in the bin it would have been better spent. I wonder why the doctor we were assigned works in pediatrics as she has no clue on how to treat children, my daughter was so scared that she was crying and clinging to me as she didn't want this doctor to examine her. Not only she was arrogant and treated us like idiots, but she didn't listen to us at all! I had told her that my daughter had problems with her stomach as she complained about it straight after eating and showed me where the pain was. Yet she asked my daughter where it hurted and my four year-old shyly pointed to the bellybutton - and in her report to my GP Prof R. wrote that my daughter suffered for discomfort in the belly button area! Albeit me repeating to her several times that although in that moment my daughter had pointed to her belly button, she had always shown me that the pain was located in her stomach. Prof R. had made her mind up after two minutes in the room and persued the same diagnosis until the end, it was no use telling her again and again that she had misunderstood what I had said, she kept on rephrasing my words to fit her initial diagnoses, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! And if the above wasn't enough, when she asked us about the deseases in our family she told my husband - who is already extremely worried for our daughter and who lost a very close family memeber to cancer - that he will be more than likely to be getting cancer himself if he doesn't get his condition (which has been in remission for more than 15 years) treated immediately. We left Cromwell Hospital stressed, shocked, depressed and extermely worried. I have contacted Cromwell Hospital to ask them to direct me to the protocol of making a complaint about our gastroenterologist but never received a reply, hence my Google review.
