Today purely by chance, I visited the Eastbourne store in Terminus Road. The store was extremely busy. I was only aware of three members of staff, on a Saturday probably the maddest time to work. These part time weekend staff, maybe on a basic living wage. One young woman, was working, hard. l did not speak to her. The young men Toby and Kyle working their socks off, were so dedicated to their respectful customer service. Of course without customer service, there is no business. Toby and Kyle, helped to make my experience a great one. I was deeply impressed. I vocalised this to them, in return they were so pleased that l noticed their efforts. I meet miserable staff, stressed, tired, having to tolerate abuse and worse. These young men were amazing. In the name of wonderful staff, treat them well, they are an asset. Stress them out too much, they may walk away. Treat them with care and respect. As you would like to be treated. Yours sincerely. Caroline Hunnisett ????

Often found Black's to be a mixed bag with service but on this occasion the service that I received was fantastic. Pretty sure it was the store manager that was serving me at the time. She took her time and discussed all my needs and the features of each shoe. Friendly, professional and relaxed in nature.

Have shopped here for years, went in today with my wife to look for a new coat, found one and at a little over £300 I wanted to try it on the staff however refused to remove the wire security from the sleeves of the coat making it impossible to try on properly. The sales staff seemed more like they didn’t want you to buy anything I would have expected better help, needless to say I will now look elsewhere. Don’t normally do reviews but was a bit horrified by them.
