A sports shop not for sports people. I asked if they sold any Tennis trainers. No is the answer. Not a single one. Unless you play basketball I wouldn't bother. It's a bit like a Greggs not stocking any donuts.

Staff are rude, can't hear yourself think over the loudness of the music and when you request a shoe size that the sticker in the shoe says goes up to (junior 6) they don't sell them (only in certain colours) in that size but you can get it online. Came away empty handed as I will not accept rude behaviour or lies

So today me and my husband went to Romford JD sport to do a bit of shopping and exchange a couple of items. When it came to exchanging our items the girl serving us told me the item we picked up wasn't part of the offer I took previously, so after a few minutes of disagreement, I took her to the rack and when she was proven wrong, there was no remorse whatsoever, rather rolled her eyes and said 'oh well'. We came back to the till and with the help of another staff member completed the transaction, it's only when she said sorry for the first time without any sincerity it triggered me. As I started off saying 'I told you I picked up...' I couldn't even complete my sentence, she flipped yelling 'I ain't bothered'. As a customer I have never experienced such despicable behaviour in my life, she was giving attitude from the very beginning, her colleague had to hold her back to calm her down, when she sparked up. As we were about to leave the manager came up to us to justify the situation, when the girl was completely in the wrong, twice she made a mistake and we stayed calm, I wasn't taking it, it wasn't going to happen no matter how much justification, it was pure rudeness!

@Liberty Romford Jd management Please re-train some of your staff to not to be Rude to buying customers specially the blonde lady on the til on this date @1055. I had worked as Starbucks barista at the same mall also behind the til, however, I had never acted the same way to customers not even to super rude customers who only wanted free coffee our manager and supervisors wouldn't tolerate it. I understand that she might have had a bad day prior to work but please @10 in the morning really?. Please tell em not to bring their issues to work, and please be kind your customers.

I am yet to buy a pair of trainers in this shop. I have been in on four separate occasions and every trainer I have selected in a size UK 10 have not been in stock. On a weekend or any busier day you have to fight to get served by someone and from my own experiences, I haven’t found staff particularly helpful or polite. Store is too big with not enough staff to serve you. Perhaps a reason the high street is on its last legs.

JD is very hit and miss. Their staff are either extremely helpful or seem like it is an effort to talk to you!. Would possibly help if they lost their attitudes that some of them seem to have when speaking to customers!

horrible. all that is for sale are worn clothes. I don't know why you don't write on the second hand store. I personally would not enter or enter. Everything is stained dirty and broken.

Visited the store on 3 different occasions recently, staff were very scarce particularly in the kids section and those which I did see were either busy with other customers or avoiding to make any kind of eye contact with me. On my 3rd visit I managed to ask one of the staff for a pair of shoes I was after, she said that someone will bring them right out...10 minutes later I asked the same lady about the shoes and she said that she doesn’t know where they are without any apologies or solutions...I left and will not be returning

They issued my refund but I never got my money back. They refuse to do an open investigation now I’m left unhappy because I don’t have my item nor my money back. They keep blaming me for losing my return receipt which happens however they refuse to look at CCTV camera to see if my return been issues which it has. Wouldn’t recommend, they robbed me off my money. Also wanted to add that they never pick up the phone

Music way too loud and way too shouty angry rap music for me. Last thing you wanna listen to is gangsta rap music when you're shopping. Would've left the store earlier but was only collecting a pair of trainers I'd ordered online. The 20 minute wait wouldn't have been so bad if my ears wasn't bleeding.

Larger and more customer friendly since their move here from a different site in Romford. It carries a huge range of sports kit and clothing - though it seems to have moved up market and doesn't carry some of the bargain level products that it used to. It is however much easier to navigate and less frustrating to find what you want.
