Store is run by some real nice dudes. Grwat knowledge of music and of their stock (all 20,000 records i swear they know by heart) I placed a large order from their discogs catalogue, which is maintained meticulously, far better than any I've ever shopped. Delivered my order in person to my front door and invited me to come down and see the shop. Great experience. If you don't know the shop and you like vinyl, you're missing out big time. Get amongst it.

Great selection and inventory but some extremely over-inflated prices

Digging here is good fun and you have a few thousand 12"s to root through. My issue is nothing has a price attached, that's checked at the counter from their Discogs store, which can be really frustrating. It's not fun to spend an hour making selections from crates on the floor (where you presume the cheap stuff lives) to suddenly find you've picked an £18 record. What I really long for from this shop is <£5 and <£1 crates, leave the so called 'rare' discs for the people who think they're worth it. My recommendation to others digging is to search your selections on Discogs as you go, and avoid sticker shock at the counter and make it a level playing field.

Great local record in Hackney Wick. Always has rare electronic records at competitive prices. All the staff including Hon, the owner, are sound to deal with. They usually have great tunes playing on the in-house turntable.

Excellent store and one of the best spots to pick up rare Hip Hop in London. Order online or do as I do and browse their store first and come instore to pick up. Smooth, no fuss service with regularly replenished stock. Highly recommended!

Amazing little Hackney Wick record shop selling new, used and collectable vinyl. Shelves filled floor to ceiling with all kinds of classics and quirky rarities. The owner is super knowledgeable and informative.

Accidentally stumbled upon this shop. The guy who works here is some kind of a record wizard. Asked him if the shop had anything by a particular artist, they didn't but he knew the record label the artist was signed to and their sound. Pulls out a plethora of vinyls, unfortunately I didn't have time to listen to all of them.

A great record shop located in the centre of Hackney. Regularly holds sales and promotions as well as keeping an ever-changing stock of great records.

Now for something completely different. Essentially a pick-up point/warehouse for a website. Browse online for mostly House, Electro, Techno, Garage, Hip Hop, associated sub-genres and diverse. A small selection of vinyl over a gamut of styles on the shop floor at prices varying from the sublime to the ridiculous. A fair proportion of bargains. For the best outcome; research, place order and collect. Voila ! Unusual presentation, friendly staff but this is no browsers hang-out or idlers bolt hole.

Love this place. Hon the owner is the coolest, most laid back guy. Tons of vinyl on shelves along the walls and decks for you to have a lil' listen before you buy.

Decent record shop in Trendy Hackney Wick. Staff were pretty friendly and happy to help. Not a huge selection on show but a massive online catalogue makes up for it.

By far and away the best record shop in London. Massive selection of used tunes, all listed on Discogs. They have a listening station for tunes over 5 pounds. I added all the tunes I wanted to my Discogs basket the night before, went the next day and the friendly and helpful guy there went and grabbed them all. I walked out with them, plus the same amount again from digging. Love this place and will use via Discogs!

I've bought records from Vinyl Pimp for as long as I can remember and, having always had a great experience, I always come back. There's two listening stations, great staff who are happy to pop records on the system, and even in-house coffee... And as the records are also listed on Discogs you can research stock and price up front. If you want to dig through thousands of great records (physically and online), unearth some gems and hang out with people that know and love music then this is the place to come. If not, then go to Tesco or Urban Outfitters.

Good selection, but staff are just not really on point. I ordered two records over the phone - after not receiving a reply to an email, to find that the guy had not put them aside and had to explain the whole thing a third time ....they could try harder

Great store, very helpfull staff! Had forgotten my credit card but they let me use their computer to make a Discogs order on the stuff I found in the store. Quite the hassle just to sell a few cheap records, but the staff went through it all with a smile and saved my day. Will return every time I'm in London. Recommended!

Great record store with what might easily be the best coffee in Hackney Wick. The store is open week long, coffee however is served only on weekends.

Great spot for an extensive selection of 2nd hand house, techno and d&b records. The grading is accurate and there are some gems to be had a fair price if you know what your looking for. Agreed, some of the older rare-ish items are priced quite high, but Hon can often be open to a bit of bartering and its no different than any other 2nd hand shop these days.

Lots of records but a lot are very expensive. It is a kind of vinyl speculation place You are not really invited to listen to records. There is just a poor wrecked turntable it is just here to decorate. Just got in and got out two minutes later. Not eager to stay In spite of the fact that you can for sure find treasures... for which price?

This record shop has been around on Hackney Wick for a while, now finding itself in one of the trendiest (and every 'trendifying') areas of London. I can appreciate why some reviewers find the shop itself a bit sterile. Very little of their stock is on show, as they promote you look through one of several tablets to see what they have. Hardly the crate digging experience that many vinyl enthusiasts look for, but with an attached café it makes for a fine stop off if not destination. However, I must take issue with how the shop promotes itself as the ‘best vinyl re-selling agency in the UK’, advocating that you you can ‘sell your unwanted vinyl’ through them. In truth, they should add ‘if THEY want it, and if they can be bothered'. That’s absolutely fine – they are a business after all – but that makes them no different from any other secondhand record shop. So to sell themselves as anything else seems a bit misleading.

Worst place ever. Went in today. Saw their 'mega haul'. Lots of great stuff but to be priced "at the counter". and how do they price them. Discogs plus a stupid markup. If I wanted to go to Discogs I would. Vinyl pimp charge high end prices based on Discogs which is completely unfair. If I wanted to buy cheap then I'll buy from the cheapest vendor on Discogs. But these robbers flagrantly charge higher end Discogs prices in front of your face!! You can check the prices yourself on your phone. Utter robbery and very disappointing.
