Superb store! Purchased a new tennis racket here, incredibly helpful and knowledgebase. The ability to "hire" the racket for a week and then get the hire cost taken off the purchase of a racket is great! Not sure why anyone would shop at any other sports shop, especially seeing as places where the staff actually care and know about the products they're selling are in such short supply.
People, check them out! It is so important to also support local businesses, we have lost David Rose sports and swift sports, let's make sure we don't lose another.

I went here to buy some new running shoes. I ran on the treadmill talked about shoes I had had before and tried some on the pavement outside. I decided on some Brooks Adrenaline GTS. All good, but after running in them a couple of times I got an uncomfortable pain in my knee. I rang the shop for some advice and they said straight away to come back in to sort it out. I did this, they had a look at me running in them and said I should look at some others. This place talks about giving the right product to the right people. I tried some others and we identified I actually probably needed a less structured shoe now even though I had had an Adrenaline before. They swapped them for a Brooks Ghost without any quibble at all with the focus from them that I had a shoe I was going to be comfortable in. Straight forward advice and straight forward customer service. I would really recommend this place.

The staff in this shop are always so friendly and helpful! and today was no different. I went in to tentatively buy some new running shoes. I had unexpected trouble with goggles I purchased previous day and wanted to exchange them or get a refund if possible and went to the store not knowing about the outcome, but staff ( especially the handsome guy with a stubble who was at the till ) was so friendly and helpful and refunded item without making fuss etc. and in very friendly manner. It's nice when you get a lovely customer service whilst purchasing products, but 100x more important how it's been dealth if there is a problem. Thank you. Highly recommended the store!

Nick Rivett Sport is probably one of the best shops I have been in for years. We were welcomed the minute we walked through the door and then given friendly knowledgeable service from Nick himself for the rest of our visit. We chose this shop at random to buy a racket for our son after returning from Lanzarote earlier that morning and it was more than worth the extra 32 mile trip.
If you want to get good old fashioned high quality service with excellent prices, Nick Rivett Sport is a must.

Just got home with my excellent new racquet. Nick is highly knowledgable and was willing to spend time discussing options with me. I felt no pressure to be fast nor to spend more than I was comfortable with. In all it was a pleasurable experience. Racquet stringing - at first I was impressed (very fast service 24 hrs & price £20-25 for premium string). Where I was disappointed was results (one restring broke in 2 weeks, next gave me shoulder pain after half hour of hitting) & professional advice (strings used where not suitable for me, are suitable for some of the strongest male pros like Nadal & so where causing me Injury). Be careful of tension : both restrings came out loose (lower tension than the 50-60lbs recommended for my racquet). No offer of compensation or change of strings you are not happy with. I do feel for them as Nick & Jack are really nice guys. The shop is very well presented & good quality tennis equipment.

I would definitely recommend Nick Rivett & his staff to anyone wanting a satisfactory all round shopping experience. Extremely helpful & knowledgable about his tennis racquets & was able to assess what racquet both myself & my partner Mark needed for our individual requirements, game play etc ! Very friendly, helpful & nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning for all our tennis gear & will recommend to anyone in Eastbourne who needs the same ! We spent a small fortune, but it was well worth it ???? , Thankyou.
