Been too long a while since I've popped into a typical local pastry cafe, as like others, was lured to the recent popular American imports promising exotic coffees etc
However decided to pop into my local Gregg's this morning after gym for their Vege sausage roll I've heard so much about, met by most friendly yet unpretentious young female staff, got two sausage rolls and a coffee, for about £3.50!
Back in my car, the rolls were melt in your mouth pastry, filling was just right in texture and taste, and the coffee surpass any of the American competitors!
Nope, I don't work for nor own shares in Gregg's, and as you can read my other reviews, most are critical when I come across unacceptable British services and/or trading practices, but I'm indeed proud to sit here in my car covered in pastry crumbs, tapping out this review!
Well done Gregg's, you've put a smile back on my face that local British business may still have a chance, on the high street!

Been to 50+ Gregg's around the uk, This is the worst one I've ever been to, After returning twice my sandwich was only half cut, Half the fillings, Way too much sauce, No butter after I asked for it, Both times! And got a complementary dollop of vaseline looking stuff in my sandwich, Needs new staff and better looked after, Will not be going back

Greggs is a definite go-to, look for place when your looking for that quick bite when your on the go. Sandwiches Salads Coffee etc.
My particular favourite is the Bacon Egg Roll & Coffee special offer. Good up to 11:00 am

It's very Tasty Coffee and some Cornish and also a lot pastry including the new Vegan sausage invented for them and nice deals if you buy a bagette with cold soft drink and is recommended place comfortable and chatting place I have bought a rehusable cup which has their Gregg's Logo on It from 6 months.
