Simply stunning I had so much positive advice about everything from makeup to shoes, wigs and breast forms. Sophie knows her stuff thats for sure. I also tried the makeup service for a makeover and go fantastic value and was amazed by the finished result. I can not recommend this company enough!

I used their site to purchase breast forms and a human hair wig. The advice I received was VERY informative and I was advised of a delay in shipment due to the current economical climate. The parcel arrived safe and sound and I'm delighted with everything. I will be using there services again for sure.

The owners are lovely. My experience of having a makeover done was so good and I could not believe the results. I will definitely being staying here in the future as such a great location in Brighton so can walk to key locations and venues. They also have a shop on site and online and sell best range of heels, wigs, dresses and more in all sizes. Cannot thank them enough.

I only had contact via their online shop, but that was a very unpleasant experience. They sell flawed products at expensive rates and offer a very poor and unfriendly customer service. I strongly advise to go and look elsewhere.

I have visited Sophie at Translife 3 times twice for make overs and once for a make up lesson.
I found it a very nice place to visit they did went out of there way to put me at my ease, explained each step, let me have the run of their extensive wardrobe , and took a lot of photos, I found the tjeir charge to be very good I highly recommend Translife in Brighton.
Oh yes they make a lovely cup of coffee

Had an amazing experience at Translife, very nervous going but both Andrew and his wife were fantastic and put you at ease as soon as you arrive. We stayed there had a makeover and then went out for a night in Brighton, my first time out dressed. I couldn't believe how I looked after the makeover and the advise received in applying make up, choosing the right wig and even footwear was first rate. I can't recommend their service enough along with the products ordered and later received which were all fantastic quality.

I have known for a long time I was a transgender woman but was afraid to come out of the closet, I was surviving on just dressing up on special occasions. However a visit to Translife showed me my potential - I was overwhelmed, the results were amazing and although the fees aren't cheap the results were wonderful and were a pivotal part of my decision to start my transition. It's 2 businesses tied together with one half performing the make overs and the others managing sales. Well worth a visit if you're in the Hove/Brighton area.

Fantastic time at Translife last week. I was nervous before my visit but Andy and Krista made me feel very welcome and over two days using the dressing service and the lovely B&B accommodation I had a lovely outing into Brighton for shopping and drinks with Sophie. Andy was very generous with his pricing for my off-piste requirements and I definitely owe him. I definitely want to return as soon as I can hopefully purchasing a wig and another fantastic makeover plus B&B night. Sarah.

I approached Translife because I was looking for a new wig but I wasn't sure on the exact style or colour. Andrew invited me to call in and spent over an hour showing me different styles and colours - his patience was never ending.
When I finally decided on one, he arranged for it to be sent to me so I could try it on when I was fully dressed so I could see the full effect.
Nothing was too much trouble. I received first class personal service.

Fantastic!! I have been a customer for more than two years and received honest and good advise. When I needed to replace a wig they did it streight away without question and even exchanged shoes when I made an error in size at no extra cost. For a small company I think they go the extra mile, even got a freebie with my last order!
Stayed at their B&B and have a great makeover this weekend I thought I would try it out as I wanted to get a new pair of breast forms so glad I did. I was so impressed with the look and my first real "night out". This was a none rushed experience and the attention to detail was just great I hope to do it again sometime in the summer. A huge thank you for helping me make my dreams come true.

Translife is run by Sophie and Krista. I have stayed with them on 3 previous occasions at their B & B in Hove. The room is always perfect and very clean. It's located in Hove but very close to Brighton Town. Its an ideal location for hitting the Clubs in St.James Street. I also have a makeover from Sophie when I am there and what she doesn't know about make up isn't worth knowing! Sophie is a trained MAC Pro Expert Make up artist. She will also advise you on what you need to replicate the look yourself.
All in all, I happily give Translife a 5 ***** Rating. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent too.

A friendly, relaxing and professional makeover service with brilliant results. The deep knowledge of movie, television and theatre makeup techniques came across immediately and was used to great effect turning me into a stylish and elegant woman. This is a professional and classy place. I learnt so many tips and tricks and wasn't pressurised into buying anything from the shop, even when I inquired. Its a homely, discreet and well run establishment where I was put at ease, with very strict and professional eye for detail, health and safety and cleanliness. I would highly recommend to all for any query or guidance. I went there for a simple makeover and gained confidence and inspiration as well.

I have used their services on 3 separate occasions in the last 4 months.... first a makeover ( an absolute wow...), next, a couple of months later, an overnight stay in their luxury b&b (when i was attending a function in Brighton just before christmas) and finally in the last week, when i ordered a wig which arrived within 96 hours of being ordered. Everything without fuss, and above all else, excellent value for money!
Yes, it is a small company, but Sophie & Krista offer unique services to the Transgender community; i have absolutely no hesitation in commending them (as i do regularly!)

AVOID!!!!
Ordered & 8 days later still no item despite paying £6 almost for postage.
left 3 voicemails, 2 emails chasing my item and no one returns calls or pick's up the phone.
In the end i decided to take my order else where and cancel.
I'm surprised this place stays open cause I certainly will never purchase anything from here again.

Translife carry a really good range of products at decent prices. You may find the same products elsewhere slightly cheaper, but everything is under one roof with them, as it were. The first order I made with them was for a wig and shoes, and received after about 3 weeks, although their website states it should be sooner. However, they're not a huge shop with loads of warehouse space, so I understand everything may not always be in stock.
This is where they fall down, however, as they never contact you to let you know what's happening with your order. My second order took 5 weeks, and my last order of 3 items was spread over 4 months, and eventually the final items (shoes) proved to be unavailable. They promised a refund on the invoice attached to the 2nd part of the order. This was after 4 emails and 3 phonecalls to their answerphone, none of which ever received a reply. In the end I had to bill them for a refund through Paypal, meaning I lost money on the Paypal fee, and even then there was no email apology or any effort to retain me as a customer.
Sadly, I won't be ordering from them again due to this terrible customer service - it will be far more difficult to find what I want from other stores, but waiting 4 months for a £50+ refund is just unacceptable.
