Now it's not offen I have to take my Ruby to a garage as it never needed it in the last 12 years and she 22 years old. Been to many gigs all over Europe. However a fault arose.
After a bit of looking Amber garage was found. They specialise in Volvo's.
They were brilliant and fairly priced and also did a few things they didn't have to but just did as they are quality.
I WILL BE BACK. To get Ruby ready for the return of gigs. Leeds is on.
Amber Garage is a massive thumbs up as the sorted the mis diagnosed problem by the RAC. No stress ????????
If you have a Volvo and live near Hove I strongly recommend them.

I have used Amber garage now for about 5 years to service, MOT and fix both of my cars, XC90 and C30. Amber were recommended to me by a local RAC friend. I have found them reliable, cost effective and very friendly. When the XC90 needed a new part at £1200.00 Amber sourced a reconditioned part at a 1/3 of the price. Yes the garage is down a back street - but they do a great job and I would recommend any Volvo owner to try them over a dealership and other garages.

Took my car, Volvo V50 for a fault find on lumpy start up. They tell me they put injector cleaner in the system, and promptly charged me £240.00 cash, then told me that if the clutch needs doing it would cost me over £1200.00 I called a guy based in Hove, verified, with reveiws and was told he would do the complete job for £750.00. also that in all th eyears hes been fixing and diagnosing cars, never once has injector cleaner solved a problem. And if he had of used cleaner in the system, it would have cost me £ 60/70.00 not £240.00. stay clear of this little ramshackle place, its dirty unorganised and run by two desperados that charge VAT and doubt they even declare it, I will be doing it for them on this occasion. Be warned, stay well clear of this overpriced dive.
