I have a very positive experience with Cellys Salon Brighton. I genuinely love the atmosphere there, staff are professional and extremely friendly and nice. They recently done a stunning refurbishment and bought a new massage armchair, so while your hair are being washing your body is enjoying with nice massage ????❤???? I would highly recommend them as they deserve to grow their business and make more people stylish and creative

I have been going there for years and now have a favourite hairdresser.
Yes you do have to wait for a while at times but it is so cheap compared to some other salons but they're hairdressing is wonderful!

Been here twice so far. The girls did amazing jobs with my hair. Definitely going back again. The prices are great and you get exactly what you ask for. They also have a loyalty card which gives you £12 worth of free service on your 10th visit!

Love this salon! I had a haircut and hair treatment, and I am a satisfied customer. Everyone was nice but Yana in particular took care of me, she was so careful while cutting my hair and gave lots of advice and tips. I will come back to this salon again!

I went in to have an Olaplex treatment but I saw the lady that did my hair using BondPro+ bottle instead which is a cheaper product. I'm not a confrontational person thus I stayed quiet. I'm also not sure if the lady just accidentally mixed up the bottles or intentionally used a cheaper material but my tip for Cellys customers is to make sure that you're getting quality that you're paying for.

Been going here for over 10 years until last year and was always fine with the 'cheap but cheerful' service. But the best, long-term staff seem to have been leaving at alarming rate for a while now - which is not a good sign. No reservations, which was ok, but the waiting times have now become unacceptable for me as prices have crept up steadily over last 2-3yrs. Shame. What was once a reasonable standard, great value salon has totally lost its USP. There are now several other hairdressers offering same or much better service for equivalent prices, where you can walk-in or pre-book appointment and get what you want because the staff understand English.

I would take the star off their reviews if I could. Waited for over 2 hours, then got my hair destroyed by their rubbish dyers - complete nightmare. Had to spend over £100 to get it sorted at the proper hair salon! Avoid at all cost!

Thank you for the care and attention I received today at Celly's, Western Road: consultation, wash, colour, cut and finish. Everything was perfect! The head message alone is worrh a visit! At Celly's you will get an outstanding service for a small price. The staff are incredibly skilled and creative, and I am always impressed by how much attention they pay to their clients. Worried about C-19? Don't worry they have measures in place to keep you safe during the pandemic. You may have to wait a while so bring a book, read a book or meditate. The wait will be worth it!

Laura is a darling. Its not that I always had happy happy experience with Celly's Brighton. Many times I visited and returned home without doing nothing. Couple of weeks ago, I waited more than an hour & was still after 4 & left the place sweating not to come again. Being a super moody person, I had to shop veg next to Celly's & just dropped to see how many are waiting. NO ONE! I'm the next. Sent my veg shopping to hell and waited there. I got LAURA! Only she knew me my patience! I did 22 foils highlight. She was excellent. She was amazing! She was so caring! I am grateful to her for such wonderful job done! Thank you Laura. If I ever come back, It would be for you only ????????

Disgusting service in here. Went in for a trim to be told only 2 people in front of me and my mum so we were happy to wait up until another 5 people walked in after us and got seen to immediately to have their hair done, most of the staff sit there chatting to each other completely ignoring the fact that there is people waiting, gave up waiting in the end and went to Cutting Edge up the road and had a much better service in there. Will never ever step foot into here again, the staff are all ignorant and rude.

I try and make sure Laura cuts and colours my hair, but to be honest all the people that work there have done a lovely job. I have blonde highlights and I keep it really light. My hair has never been in better condition because I have the highlight package with olaplex. My hair is naturally tight coils and I find it difficult to find a stylist that can cut my hair and make sure the shape is good once its dry. For anyone with a similar texture to me- I have had a 100% success rate with Laura in the year that I have discovered her! I used to go to Toni&Guy for my cut and colour but now I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Awful service and the way they spoke to me was disgusting, I left the salon upset knowing I will never be returning and advise anyone else to steer clear. Waiting time was also an hour and 15 minutes I was told I was "lucky it wasn't 2 hours". Having been a regular customer at the Eastbourne Cellys for many years where the service is fantastic, I feel this Brighton Salon puts the Cellys brand to shame.

Worst experience of having my hair cut ever. I have curly hair and was told over the phone that it would be fine to cut. When I turned up they then told me in a horrible way that they couldn’t do my hair type. I was then told they could go and was made to wait for 40 mins even though I was one of the first people there. When my hair was being washed she shouted I had dandruff leaving me incredibly embarrassed in front of the entire salon. Left feeling like I wanted to cry and worst experience of having my hair cut ever. Would not recommend at all!!!

Took an incredibly long time. I come here often and it takes at most 3 hours, but when I takes almost 7 hours I don't think that's good service personally.... I am aware that it got busy but there is no real excuse for it!

Good outcome to hair each time although staff need more organisational skills and communication barriers can be a slight issue. Always happy with the results though. Free coffee is a nice touch as well!

RUBBISH i sat for TWO HOURS waiting...then noticed someone who came in after me having their hair washed. ..I looked at the scribbled 'list' and said I dont even see my name here. The girl said I asked you your name and you said Jane. No, my name is Jenny . ...NO she replied, 'you said Jane, and now Ive started on someone else.' . So did i give a false name thinking i might get seen sooner ??? And i never got an apology either. Your scrappy list system is a mess, and you might consider a ticket system with numbers like a delicatessen. but If you mess up, at least be polite enough to say SORRY. I walked out...I wont go there again.

Hi...went there for a layered haircut but I am disappointed ???? .There are not much layers visible in my hair,just 2 or 3.It doesn't looks like a proper haircut ,rather seems like i just got them trimmed at the bottom..I could have done this at home....Wasted money....won't recommend..

I’ve had a haircut there before and a couple of their girls are good, but the majority of them are incredibly rude -especially the tall blonde one- and they lack serious customer care skills. Going to a hair salon, like with all beauty salons, should be a pleasant and relaxing experience and this one gets an F minus on that aspect. Def not going back.

This place is perfect for people that can appreciate what this business offers. Yes, there's a long waiting time. No, Toni and Guy aren't cutting your hair. BUT, your hair is cut to a very high standard for a very reasonable price and you get it washed after! What more could you ask for? Oh and the staff have always been lovely to me.

Terrible hair stylists. You don’t always get a decent hair cut, it depends which hair stylist you get so a couple of times I’ve been left with a hair cut that made me look like my Nan. And they don’t respond to complaints when they try and overcharge you for a hair colour either. I and my relative wouldn’t return and we would never recommend it to anyone.

Really good cut for amazing bargain price (£14!!) - had similar quality cuts or £45. No added extras like tea/coffee, no posh surroundings, but skilled hairdresser who was also interesting and funny. Def recommend

Minus a thousand rating DEVASTATED.
I have been growing my hair out for three years and asked the hair dresser to cut light layers into my hair. Dry cut. Very easy.
However, I now have a blunt bob at the front and longer at the back. It's so confusing how a qualified hairdresser could achieve this look?
Absolutely destroyed my hair and progress.
I can't get over how short it is at the front.
I walked out before crying and didn't pay.
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!
