Very good customer service. I phoned the Islington branch the item I required was not in stock, they contacted the Borough branch and had the item reserved (phoning back when arrangements had been made). The staff at the Borough branch were equally helpful, not to mention knowledgeable and friendly. A very positive experience.

Received a delivery today, just in time for a Christmas present I'd left a little late ordering. Rachael at Borough Kitchen went above and beyond to ensure the delivery got to me in time, which is really appreciated. Item was really well packaged and exactly what was wanted. Great shop and highly recommended for online shopping/deliveries.

After purchasing a set of Wusthof knife from their online store I have called their customer service to receive further details on the delivery day, and only upon this phone call have I been notified there has been an internal processing error and they would have to cancel my order as they actually had none in stock (although the website showing stock was available).I could have been waiting for days for my parcel to arrive if I did not enquire about the parcel delivery.. Customer service has been very slow at responding to my phone calls as well and they have not been clear initially with the status of my order which has been very frustrating. Being so close to Christmas, it is a huge disappointment that Borough Kitchen dealt with my order in such way.

One of my favourites for kitchenware. There is a lot of high end equipment at very high prices, equally you can get great quality items at a decent price. Really pleased with the tri-ply equipment they are producing in partnership with Samuel Groves. Pretty close to All-Clad quality but a third of the price.

Almost everything you might need in a kitchen, all in a nice and small space. What I love about this shop is that they seem to source only the highest quality available gear. So I would trust buying any piece of equipment there with the confidence this will last for a long time and will be effective. On the other hand, because it's so small they are short on the most specialist gear. (I recommend visiting the Hampstead shop of the same brand, which is bigger.)

Mastering Mother Sauces - A really enjoyable and engaging course.
The instructors (Carla and Emma) were incredibly knowledgeable and ensured we left with a real understanding of techniques. It was great to not just learn how to make the sauces, but also how to prepare them in advance, how to store them, and how to save them from disaster.
The whole experience was great and I would wholeheartedly recommend this course.

I attended the knife techniques class in Hampstead and loved it! The objective is to create a meal (for consumption at the end of the class ;) ) whilst learning how to prepare and chop the various ingredients correctly. Not only did I improve my knife skills I picked up some great cooking tips from chef Carla who was very knowledgable and friendly.

A friend and I attended the Advanced Knife Techniques class at Borough Kitchen Hampstead earlier this week and we both thought it was an absolutely first-class experience – fun, informative, inspiring, and not forgetting utterly delicious. Our tutor, Carla (ably assisted by Emma), had a very relaxed, friendly style of teaching that made learning the various techniques immensely enjoyable. Over the course of the evening, we learnt how to safely and effectively use different types of knife (and a mandolin) to prepare all the elements of a wonderful meal (roast poussin with a sweet potato gratin and herb and fennel salad) — then we all tucked into it together at the end, with a glass of excellent Chablis. I'll definitely be checking out some more of their courses in the future — they do a breadmaking one that looks really interesting. I think passionate amateur cooks who want to learn more about a specific aspect of cooking will get a real kick out of this place. I can't recommend it highly enough.
