I'm an exchange student from the United States and this place is great! Great groceries at good prices - similar to a Harris Teeter. Look for the Waitrose Essentials brand for cheaper items. Also, for the fellow Americans, the eggs are on shelves! Would highly recommend.

This store uses a company called ATS to provide them with security guards who are "capable" of accusing innocent shoppers of theft. This has just happened to me. To add insult to injury their manager failed to respect my wish to receive an apology from the guard who made the accusation. Shocked and disappointed

Persil laundry capsules for £9 when I got exactly the same from Morrison's for £5.75...Thats exorbitant.
Even some of own Waitrose's essential products are expensive as compared to other brands.

For me, the flagship Waitrose; both basics and special stuff to be had. Nice selection of fresher and fresh items; lots of eco and bio. The cashiers are i.m.e. surprisingly unfriendly, so better use the self checkout, but that doesn't take a star away.

Fantastic waitrose. Very big waitrose in central London. Fantastic service. Huge selection of items. Need to start selling halal meat as I believe this area is craving for. Lovely bakery section. Could not find all items I was after today. However, plenty of alternatives.
