Not been to this store for a while, the layout has changed and it was much improved, plus it was not too busy, allowing us to browse, so I've changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars.
We went for a particular item we wanted, which we would normally have popped into the Loughborough store for when in town, but it has closed.

Very good price on pretty much everything in the store. Even though I have worked here before as a store assistant, the staff team is just generally a friendly community and will always offer their help no matter what you are asking. Sometimes you have to wait at tills for a while, but a little price to pay when you are literally paying a little price for your products!

Love the new look at poundstrecher, so much to choose from , layout excellent.
ONE VERY BIG CONCERN .
Staff not wearing any protective equipment, There are no screening at tills, when i asked a member of staff they said at first they had some but not anymore
Staff and customers have no protection at all ..
At front entrance there is a bottle of cleaning fluid and kitc hen roll to wipe trolleys and baskets down and that is all.

Ex co op staff and they are not over friendly? Also big girl on the till shouts! Wow makes ears pop .also. Watch the sell by dates as can be out of date on food products. Foreign food with English labels so watch if u have allergies

Great staff, always super friendly.
There is such a wild variety of items that today I have done my usual,... Gone in for some fat balls (no I mean the ones for the birds) hmm sorry I meant birds in the garden.....anyway I ended up spending £46.00 on loads of other stuff that I didn't realise I needed including tuna, firelighters & something that makes my carpets gleem like new or something. Well worth a visit on payday.
