My wife bought what were meant to be red and yellow cherry tomatoes. They were planted at the start of lockdown, fed tomato feed and grew..... INTO FAT HEN WEEDS! Unbelievably disappointed and removal of these has caused the seeds to disperse all over the garden. Have tried to contact you via your website and heard nothing back, hence this review.

They are simply great and their products are amazing also. I've never had trouble growing their seeds to full-blown plants. Most of the varieties of vegetables are very flavorful and seem well adapted to the local climate. It is less tedious to buy their seeds than to collect seeds from bolted plants.

Love this company. I ordered some seeds from them and it was trouble free from start to finish. The seeds arrived quickly and well packed and included some free ones which was a pleasant surprise. I was kept up to date with my order all the way through and the customer service is excellent. Just a perfect company that i will be ordering from again and would happily recommend to everyone.

22 days later and still nothing. I emailed earlier today asking for a refund and miraculously got a despatch notification less than an hour later. Mysteriously, no tracking number attached so I'm not holding out much hope.

During the pandemic I bought a blueberry bush and a peach tree. I was told that there would be a delay on orders on the scale of weeks/months and given rough delivery time frames. The bush arrived first and the tree a month later, both looked healthy and came with instructions. They have now been planted for a couple of months and look to be doing well. I will happily use Fothergills again, they were communicative and professional. Most these negative reviews appear to be from people who failed to read the Covid delay posts on the Fothergills website.

My dad bought from Mr Fothergills for years, so I thought I would give them a try. I can honestly say everything I have bought from them has been in excellent condition, never any issues. I know a lot of the products are sold out at the moment due to the increase in sales from covid19. I have been forced to buy from several different sellers. Honestly their plants were not the same quality as Mr Fothergills.

Very disappointed, ordered three packs of seeds on 3/5/20 you took money from my card on 3/5/20 promising 10 to 14 day delivery, still waiting, no contact given up on web site that takes me round and round. Will I get these seeds in time for this year planting. Royal mail may have slight delay but not been a problemfor me so far. Can I expect my seeds to arrive soon, could have walked to Kentford and back in the elapsed time. Please don't hide behind Covid most other businesses are still giving good service and you were quick to take my money!

David Domoney seed tapes do not germinate. Last year I tried them nothing grew the pkt was replaced after I complained. The same problem this year. The seed tapes are for summer salad. The barcode is 5 011775 275178 and the cost of pkt. £3.10. Has anybody else had problems because I would never buy again this is a waste of money .

I would advise customers to buy seeds elsewhere. I ordered seeds and paid for shipping on April 27th. I was informed that they had been dispatched on April 30th but I still have not received the seeds or any meaningful response from their customer care team.. I've only got the same automated responses to my repeated emails. I don't know if I will ever see the seeds or my money again. If they cannot fulfil orders they should not be taking people's money.

I ordered seeds on 29th March. I received an email on 17th April saying they had been despatched, however I have still received nothing. I have contacted them by email some time ago to tell them but have had no reply. They are not taking telephone enquiries so I have now belatedly purchased some seed locally. I know these are difficult times but I would have expected some kind of response by now. Very disappointed.

I have used fothergill for at least 25 years, this year I found a seed supplier who does half packets of seed for half the price, what can go wrong with that? 27 packets of seed 4 seedlings came..I'm not an expert but let's just say I've learned my lesson, back to mr fothergill, pay the extra pennies and get good stuff

The floating planters sold by Mr Fothergills are really good for frogs in winter. I guess it's because they are insulated and provide a sheltered place. I fit pond safety covers for a living and see these in lots of ponds all over the country. They also make a very useful step out of ponds with steep sides! (For frogs! )

I have been impressed with the germination rates on the seeds I have bought from Mr Fothergill's, with a wider range to choose from when buying from the website, than purchasing direct in Garden Centres. The live plants I have received have been of good quality too, which is tricky when sending live plants through the post, a process I have never really trusted. As long as you ensure you are around to open the parcels immediately when they arrive to let them get some air and sunlight again, this is a cheap way of buying young plants.

I came here thinking I can buy stuff here but was told there's no public entry and can only order online, cannot come to collect here either. It seems a bit silly as I live locally but have to have item delivered and make poor plants suffer during transit.... Hopefully they can have open days for public...

Very dissapointed by the plant quality. Many had bolted. The patio pinks were extremely late arriving and there is lack of communication between the head office and the dispatch building when organising refunds - one assures that a refund will be done then head office refuses it a few days later! Won't be using Mr Fothorgills again lm afraid.

This is their head office. There is no shop but the trial ground is spectacular when in season and parts of it can be seen from the road.

Bought some Fothergill's RHS tomato seeds. Packet empty. Emailed to complain (mistakes happen, after all), heard nothing at all, except I got added to their mailing list, receiving special offers and e-catalogues until I unsubscribed. May be good seeds, but their customer service is pants.
