Homebase seems to be getting it's act together these days, all the DIY items I needed I found with no problems. Brackets, screws and wall plugs all in an area that made perfect sense. Keep up the good work.

The staff have a cracking sense of humour, I was very picky with my xmas tree and they were so patient and we had a little giggle too. The prices are exceptional, and the variety and quality is wonderful!

Reserved an item to pick up, there were three in stock on the site but not for the first time the item wasn't in stock. Staff blame thieves but this is down to poor staffing levels and poor stock taking in my mind. The store was also a mess, ripped bags of concrete and security tags on the end of rails hindered any purchase I was there to make. In contrast B&Q which I usually avoid had plenty of staff, a tidy store, good stock levels and better prices by far. I was shocked at the difference.

Queued at Kingsway for 20+ mins to get a new bathroom fan. Couldn't find them easily so asked staff member. He checked and said they didn't stock them, only on line. Rechecked the website at home and it says they have 2 in stock.

Went to buy a Earlex wallpaper steamer which showed 3 in stock at £32. No sign of any in store only ones at £42. I asked customer services who were really helpful and sorted me out. 5 stars for them. It's a 3 star for Homebase for hiding the less expensive ones and only having more costly ones on shelf.

Some bargains to be had but a lot of what they have is quite expensive considering the quality. If you're after plants for the garden, I wouldn't bother. Almost all of the plants were dead.

Somehow it feels very forgotten, like a store from the 1990s that never got a makeover. Also terrible congestion trying to leave and get back on the road even though it was only about 3:30pm.

I love homebase, their pricing is generally great for gardening related things and alright for paint. I like to wander around and do some window shopping of all the wonderful things I'd love to one day have in my home and then I'll go to the nursery and make my purchase. Sometimes it's hard to find a worker for help but once you do they're very knowledgeable and get you to the right place.

Really don't know why I use Homebase. It might be that it is the most local DIY store to me. I am however, always disappointed by the stock and general ambience of the place. It always feels so chaotic. Open or broken stock on the shelves. Pallet wrapped items in aisles! It's a mess. How the wonderful staff manage to work there I have no idea. They are always helpful and will try to go the extra mile. I think senior management at Homebase need to really shape up.

Website and store stock levels don't match and in store system was so inaccurate that the clerk couldn't be sure if they had the product or not, website said 7 in stock last night but none in store available even though it changed to 9 in stock today.
