Very well stocked. Good choice of paint from Homebase own brand, Dulux and Crown. Good choice of decorating tools/equipment. Also liked their wallpapers. Couldn't give it 5star though - toilets were closed to shoppers!

The staff are brilliant and very helpful in all aspects of the job ask for help and they are only to kind to tell you what the pruduct is for. How to plant seeds and plants and what is the best paint to use for the job l was doing l was very pleased and will be going back. ALLAN

Well stocked store with everything from DYI products, garden plants and tool, plus kitchens and also wildlife items (food, feeder etc).
A little more expensive than other hardware and home improvements stores but it's conveniently located.
Well organised during CV19 restrictions. Staff are on the door and a 1-way system is in operation (but not everyone follows it)

Love this store. Sometimes the plants out the back look a bit sorry for themselves though. Wish they were looked after more. But always quick through the till and always so good offers on. Please use it as it would be a shame if we lost it. Christmas displays and goods are always excellent from here

Great customer service.
I called ahead to check if the store was still providing the Dulux paint mixing service and the man on the phone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and informative, whilst ensuring I wouldn’t have a wasted visit, as certain stock was limited. He also gave me a quick overview of how the colour matching works etc.
When we arrived, an extremely friendly welcoming chap on the door ensured we knew to sanitise and didn’t make us feel like we were to 100th customers that he’d had to guide into the store. The same guy was then helpful with the colour mixing and showed excellent personable skills. When we eventually finished shopping and went to the tills, he was working there too!
We were politely guided to a till that would mean quicker service. All of the staff were extremely busy whilst multi tasking and all done with upbeat, friendly and welcoming attitudes. It’s as if they enjoyed there jobs and helping customers!
I will definitely return to this store as the staff really made it a positive experience, even considering the current situation.

There were no disposable gloves for sale at all so I will have to buy else wear
I make my hands s little messy when painting shed and fences
With the pandemic the tills had a very good system in place

Checked stock of a 50m roll of chicken wire. The only branch locally to allegedly have any in stock was Chaddesden, 3 available according to their website.
I'm glad I didn't 'click and collect'. Drove over to Derby, only to find they had none in stock. Staff member told the "stock levels were all over the place'. I understand there has been a pandemic, but I witnessed staff scanning every item purchased at the tills. The last time we were told a similar story by a store, it was whilst attempting to order an item in Mothercare.... where are they now?
Don't rely on their website and don't bother using 'click and collect'. No doubt a refund will take weeks.
Oh, and two customers I saw at the tills had tucked their face masks under their chins and this was seen as acceptable to the two staff assisting them.

Excellent staff. I went during social distancing restrictions, the staff were very helpful and followed the restrictions perfectly.
A staff member monitoring store numbers at the entrance was also letting people know what was sold out so they didn't have to bother queuing unnecessarily.
Trolleys were cleaned and ready to go at the entrance.
Very impressed.

You have to queue to go in, then they get 5 lots of people in the entrance and go through the rules. There's a one way system marked out on the floor. Maximum 2 people per aisle. Wait to be called forward to the checkout. But otherwise good, lovely plants available, some types of compost available, decorating supplies as usual.

Found this store to be well stocked, covid19 measures were in place and being followed well by staff.
Prices were good, range was good. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the store was a bit untidy (messy but clean) which was a little frustrating at times.

I used click 'n collect. Tortuous lengthy route to counter. 2 of 3 Items not picked despite order submission 2.5 days earlier. Items could conceivably have sold out. Wickes bring click' n collect to you in a dedicated external area. Not impressed!

If I could of given a no star that wouldbeen better went to this store early in the morning as soon as they open staff greeting all the customers coming in when i pass no greeting when the other customers behind he started greeting again ask for some help staff not effective in helping when I got the items to the front of the tills the casher try scanning them notting on the system for this item so I can't sell you them so what craziness is this with homebase in chadd wouldn't come back will go B&Q

Social distancing rules are clear enough to everyone by now not sure why this store has a 10 minute speech on this before you enter, the rules are the same everywhere its a long wait as it is. I called ahead of visit to check stock and the same happened on the phone. These people are like robots repeating it over and over and not everyone has time for this after queuing to get in

Given the current pandemic,massively impressed with the managers approach to advising every customer of the trading, distancing rules. An absolute joy ti watch the manager take a genuine pride and concern not only for each and every customer well being but also explained that he was not simply looking out for his customers but was and is massively concerned and protective off his staff. A true gentleman and totally understood and delivered his responsibility.A other staff were vigilant and caring. I have been shielding as have high Rusk due to cardiac condition and was a little nervous in going out for the first time in over 10 weeks homemade made me delivery comfortable and safe. A real lesson ti be learnt from all the staff and a brilliant manager.many thanks Pete & Jisue Williams
