I am a professional tradesman, and I've been here a few times when I've been short of an odd screw, electrical item, tool etc. but don't have time or inclination to head back to Brighton. They always have what I need on the shelf, and I'm more than happy to pay a small bit extra (compared to chain stores) to support their business as its well stocked and convenient.

Rude and off hand service from the woman 'in charge' of key cutting. First attempt by a younger assistant used an incorrect blank. Then the woman in charge took over but was very brusque.
Suggest that if you need keys cut you go to a dedicated locksmith who have much more expertise.

It's amazing what you'll find in Hamfield's; I've made some strange requests and not been disappointed yet; from 4"X2" to Bees Wax polish, a mop to a fireguard or a specific size screw, Hamfield's will have you covered.
Access can be tricky, as it's quite full, you might struggle with a pram or a wheelchair. However the staff are fantastic and will certainly help.
