Although not a business I was worried that a tall, fast-growing plant next in close proximity to my family home was perhaps Japanese knotweed. I sent photos to Phlorum and soon received a reassuring response that it was not the weed but likely one of several plants (my photos were not good enough to afford a definitive identification). The important aspect was that I didn't need to worry further about damage to the drains or house. The consultation was free of charge and conducted with great speed, efficiency, politeness and professional competence. It is indeed an example to any business that regards the environment as paramount. If anyone is concerned or unlucky enough to have the weed on their property I strongly recommend they contact Phlorum as a first port of call. Excellent work, thank you.

I had a concern that a plant growing in a garden was Japanese Knotweed. Having done a Google Image Search, I found Phlorum's website, where they said if I could send a photo, they would try and identify any plant for free. Not expecting very much (who does anything free these days?) I sent over a photo. Two working days later, an email came back with a detailed response about why the suspect plant was not Japanese Knotweed, with a suggestion of what it was - and that suggestion has proved entirely correct. A first class service at efficient speed, and with nothing requested in return. On the strength of this, I would definitely consider using them for something that they do charge for!

I contacted Phlorum because there was concern over a weed being knotweed at a house we are in the process of buying. I was very worried about a plant I found growing in my back garden and thought it was potentially Japanese knotweed. After looking through images on the Internet, videos on youtube and getting anxiety whilst doing this, the only way I was going to get a definitive answer was from a professional.
I am so thankful I came across Phlorum online. They offer a fantastic free service of allowing you to upload up to 3 pictures and will identify the plant in question. I did this and got a response within 20 mins from the lovely Paul Beckett who comfirmed it was in fact Himilayan honeysuckle. Phew!
