I contacted Paul Beckett as I did not know if I had knotweed. He kindly said it wasn't but took the time to help me find out what it was and also gave me information on how to deal with the problem. He went over and beyond my expectations even though they earnt nothing from me Paul's response showed me the kind of organisation they are and as a result I will recommend them to others.

Hahaha, when something seems too good to be true it is usually a sign that it is a con. However, there is always the exception! I am lost for words. Having just moved house we have lots of strange plants, and weeds in the garden. My wife said, “Oh that looks like Japanese Knotweed to me” Panic struck, anxiety levels soaring, I quickly searched the internet. One company was charging £200 for a site visit! However I found ‘Phlorum’ on line, sent some photo’s and gave them a ring. The response couldn’t have been better. So professional, so helpful, and they could even identify the plants. Phew, no Knotweed, and a sigh of relief. I spoke to Richard. We laughed and chatted as though we’d been old friend for years. The advice was FREE and just so professional. It gives you faith that there are really good people in the world. If I ever need Environmental Services, Phlorum will 100% be my first point of call. Honest, helpful, and professional. We have been extremely pleased with the level of service provided in ascertaining the extent of our Japanese knotweed problem and how best to deal with it. The work to eradicate the knotweed was carried out efficiently and to budget, with ongoing monitoring works giving very little additional work. When our survey reported possible Japanese Knotweed in the garden next door to the house we were purchasing we asked our estate agent to get some photos. We were convinced the plant wasn't Knotweed but we decided to send photos to 2 companies that offered a free identification service, both came back with a positive identification accompanied by a price list for removal.
Having looked at Phlorums website we decided to send the photos to them for a final opinion. Richard replied within a few hours. His response was reassuring that it was in fact a young tree or woody shrub and gave suggestions of plants that I was able to google for confirmation.
He then put me in touch with my local office in Manchester who even came out to inspect the plant and confirm it wasn't Knotweed.
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone with concerns about Japanese Knotweed.
