The Marylebone Town Hall which you may also know as Westminster Council House is one of the most amazing venue to get married in. With it's amazing rooms and great friendliness from the staff who works there all couples have great experience. If you have your photos taken outside with the spectacular columns everyone will be amazed by those photos!

Surrounded by beautiful little mews, The Old Marylebone Town Hall is the perfect setting for London wedding, not least because the registrars here are the kindest, most welcoming registrars you could ask for and they will make your wedding ceremony special. Everyone at the Marylebone Town Hall is really lovely and they always put the couple first. As a wedding photographer, it's always a pleasure to see that because let me tell you... it's not the norm! Marylebone Town hall is a historic wedding venue with great photography spots inside and on the streets nearby, beautifully decorated rooms, pet friendly and within reach of may amazing wedding venues!

We never get tired of capturing weddings here. In a place where music legends, Hollywood superstars and Royalty have married, we always feel very privileged to be asked to photograph what is a very special period in peoples lives. Not to mention the staff and registers are amazing, very organised and super helpful. Even during COVID and tight restrictions, things seems to work easily and without fuss and the brides and grooms have the best experience in the world! Thanks Team Marylebone - hope to see you soon. We got married at the Old Marylebone Townhall on 3 September 2020 in the Soho Room. We absolutely loved it - the room was stunning! Our Registrars Paul and Lucie were so welcoming and delightful. Paul's voice is so soothing and beautiful, he delivered the ceremony in such a beautiful manner. They made sure we had a great ceremony. It was a small, intimate wedding given the current circumstances but we loved every bit of it. Thank you so much to Paul and Lucie and all the staff again.

The staff over lockdown were amazing and tried their best to keep everyone informed about what was going on. On the day itself they were equally lovely. The venue is great as well!

Beautiful place to celebrate a wedding! The rooms are wonderful, such great panelling and ceiling details. The Westminster room is particularly special. It gives a certain gravitas to the very special occasion. The registrars were absolutely perfect presenting the ceremony with a perfect balance of humour and seriousness. We shared in a very special occasion at a great place. We were also reminded of an lovely occasion at this location when we came to register our sons births!

I'm so grateful to be chosen as the winners of their wedding competition. We got married in the Pimlico Room and it was honestly PERFECT. This is hands down the most breathtaking registry location in London. The staff are amazing and I cannot sing their praises enough.

We got married in the Westminster room on the 26th October 2019 and I would love to give it more than 5 stars for so many reasons. It's a stunning building with amazing interiors. Our registrar, Lucie, was wonderful and it felt very personal despite being in a registry office. She is a real asset to the OMTH. I also noticed my nan's brooch had fallen off my bouquet moments before walking down the aisle, and afterwards Lucie was so helpful enquiring to see if it had been found (luckily it showed up in the car we had taken there). When there was an issue with our spare certificates not being processed the admin staff resolved instantly and were very apologetic about their system not updating correctly. The staff on the day were also very professional and friendly. All in all, a more than 5 star experience for so many reasons. However, we were unlucky in that it was raining heavily on our wedding day, and after the ceremony the guests were almost thrown out without even a chance to put coats on and get umbrella's up. I totally get the need to keep people moving and that it is a popular venue, but I would prefer to pay a bit more money and not be totally herded about, with fewer large back to back weddings. There is also a lovely room downstairs with mirrors to touch up make up etc beforehand which is a great idea, but when I went to use it there were a lot of other people's guests in there so I couldn't even get into it and had no way to look in the mirror before going down the aisle after being squashed into a taxi to get there. It would be nice if this this room was reserved for the bride and groom's and bridal party use only. All in all it is brilliant value for money for what you get and the people we dealt with all do their jobs brilliantly. I know we still made the right choice and had an iconic London wedding venue. But it was right in spite of these things, and I did feel a bit bad for my guests who were soaking wet and it would have been nice to have had a moment to touch up my lipstick. Small things, but then you only have one wedding day. I'd still completely recommend, but just remember some of the compromises that you'll need to be happy making by getting such good value.

We had our civil ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall last October, and were so impressed with the service. The staff was very responsive leading up to the wedding, which was very important since we were making arrangements from Canada. On the day of, we felt very looked after, and everything was a well-oiled operation. The officiant was also lovely and made our ceremony very special. We highly recommend it for your wedding!

The venue is spectacular and our registrars were nice, however, the rest that we dealt with were abrupt and even a little aggressive. We were early hoping to take some pictures outside but it was raining so were doing this inside but got told to go straight into our interview almost 30min prior to what i agreed beforehand. After the ceremony, they hurried us out of the room so our photos near the beautiful fireplace couldn't even be completed. One staff member marched my guests downstairs so my family missed the pictures. Also unfortunately it was the one day in ages that it had heavily rained meaning my very small group of guests and i needed to wait for last min ubers as couldn't walk to our next venue. We were basically shooed out the entrance, my jacket handed to me as I'm still with the photographer. They shut the main doors on us claiming it was their lunch break but myself and some guests hadn't even had the chance to use the bathroom so just went back in and they were just hanging around inside (not on lunch). It's a stunning venue, but be aware of their "exit tactics" and be firm to stay put if you're running on time. You've paid for this and it's your (hopefully) once in a lifetime experience so don't let the bossy, rude staff members push you out the door!!

Old Marylebone Town Hall, which has staged more celebrity nuptials than anywhere else in the UK, is set to reopen after a four-year hiatus. The Grade II listed building will resume hosting marriages, civil partnerships and baby-naming ceremonies in January after a £60 million refurbishment and expansion. Sir Paul married Linda Eastman at the town hall in 1969 and chose the same venue for his marriage to third wife Nancy Shevell in 2011, while Ringo Starr married second wife Barbara Bach at the venue in 1981. Gallagher married Patsy Kensit there in 1997 and returned in 2008 to wed Nicole Appleton. Other weddings at the venue include Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, Sean Bean and Georgina Sutcliffe, Claudia Winkleman and Kris Thykier, and Cilla Black and Bobby Willis.

The place itself is lovely and a great setting for weddings. Shame some of the staff are rude and prejudice, then try to be nice to your face after they realise they've been caught out.

A stunning, beautifully old piece of English history! Well worth a visit! This was the former head office for Births, Deaths & Marriages in London.

My relative worked there such a hostile environment, awful treatment of staff, he left since he was grouped up on and he is physically limited, but was made to do work that was painful for him. The manager treated him awfully and it’s just pathetic and sad aswell as actually quite funny, because they just lost someone special who also has 3 kids... Think twice before applying for a job there.
