Cotswold outdoor is good quality outdoor shop but it is more like outdoor supermarket than specialist shop. Missing the specialist advice and commited staff.
I explain. I found the shoes I wanted to buy online, but I didn't want to buy them before trying on. I found out they have the model and size at Cotswold Outdoor Picadilly and came round there to try. Found the model, hold in my hand and immediately knew it is a good quality. I waited for the member of staff who was serving another client - very thoughrouly and asked for my size.
We don't have you size sir. Sorry. Try other branch.
And that was it. No offer to call the other branch or maybe trying to suggest me another pair. Maybe I looked too committed.

Great service. Tried on a shoe in the covent garden store where they didn't have the half size larger in stock, so we trekked to the picadilly store where the sales assistant who hiked, lead DoE trips and could talk knowledgeably, found the shoe that suited both my need, redirected use, feet, budget. Would recommend!
