Had basic materials that I required which other similar stores could not provide. Limited numbers allowed in store hence I had to queue for a short time. Small inconvenience to enable me to purchase materials to complete project. Well done Wickes!

Always handy for us as they are just around the corner. Staff are always frienldy and helpful. Stock is sometimes low or missing but I guess thats part of the industry and lack of supply. Good value

The place wss bare! Couldn't get a decent bucket! Glove selection poor. Place was chaotic and I queued for ages to get in. The staff were very nice and helpful but I won't be going back. Sorry..

Needed to buy some thermalite blocks so travelled from peacehaven, should've checked beforehand, they don't have them, no worries, I'll pick up some rendering/plastering tools, nope the shelves are mostly bare, okay maybe they have some uPVC rendering bead, no they don't have that either, waste of time. Brexit/covid issues I'm sure but won't be going again without a phone call. Went to Toolstation next door instead and picked up most of the rendering tools I needed...

Wicks in Hove is centrally located and provides a wide range of building products both for the trades and the DIY market.
The Hove branch in particular has helpful staff although there are often limited numbers on the shop floor to assist customers.
It is always best to buy a single batch of the product that you require on one visit as on occasion, batch colours (tiles) and or cuts (wood) may very slightly.
All in all a well used shop and products at good prices.

Oh my days. For the second time click-and-collect has been markedly slower than just turning up and buying something. 20 minutes wait to recieve one tub of prepaid for paint that, sat visibly, waiting for me on the other side of the counter. I really really want opportunities to be available for everyone, from all walks of life, but they take it to the limit here employing so many of the completely unemployable.

Cheaper than B&Q or Homebase with a good selection of products but if you’re going on a Sunday don’t expect to get to the checkout quickly because they don’t rota enough staff on on the tills.

Two packs of MDF picture rails ordered on line, delivered late, delivery man placed one on top of the other so could not see the rails in both packs were broken. Telephoned after sales three times, they were polite they did their best and confirmed Brighton store manager would get back to me, he/she never did, rubbish product and rubbish service, will not deal with Wickes again

There are insufficient staff, which meant click & collect took very long. From previous visits, the staff are young and not trained to know the store products. Even if the staff are young, Wickes could train them to have a basic general product knowledge of DIY, building, and plumbing.

Staff knowledge is non-existent. Asked for electrical solder and got the response 'I don't know what that is, I'm not an electrician to be honest'. I then proceeded to explain what it was and informed the staff member that it was listed on their website. After 'consulting a colleague' he came back to tell me they don't have any.... I found it on my own in the tool section but decided to buy it elsewhere.
So bad it was almost funny.

Bad attitude of staff, quite rude. Definitely not wort doing click and collect as even hours later still not ready, were not even aware of my order. Prefer to go to other shops and only do this as a last resort shop.

It's a relatively small Wickes but have always found enough of a range of materials and tools to get jobs done. And that's what they're there for after all. Would personally do without the bathroom showroom in favour of more space for stock but that's me.

Their online stock quantity check is always wrong, look an item up see that they have loads in stock go to pick it up to be told that sold out ages ago but no one can be bothered to update the website.
