Unfortunately a friend of mines bike broke down at Stirling Corner due to a dead battery. Called this place at 7.50pm towards closing time and spoke to Chris explaining the situation and wanted to get a battery urgently. Said if I would get there before 8pm (their closing time) they would sell me one. I requested if they could stay for a couple of minutes longer. I rushed to get here, and reached at 7.59pm. The doors were locked and shutters down, with two staff members waiting outside who seemed to think the situation was funny with their smirks and said they closed at 8pm, even though on my iPhone, watch and motorcycle showed 7.59pm. Clearly the store was closed earlier than it should have been. Having been a General Manager in retail for Currys previously, a store this size would take quite a while to close down. Cash up, tidy, set alarms, lock doors, shutters etc. Had the staff/store showed some humanity here and perhaps this one occasion spared a few more moments or even closed at the correct time, we would not have been stranded with a dead motorcycle till midnight. All it takes is one act of kindness and empathy, and the store and staff here demonstrated far from that. Extremely poor during these trying times.

Halfords Borehamwood are currently operating a free health check for your bikes and at the moment, there is no limit to the number of times you can use it. The store is welcoming and the expertise and superb customer service from both Gary & Will at the store is excellent and they both take a pragmatic approach, giving you advice on both what's nice to have and what's absolutely essential to do on the bike from a safety perspective - highly recommended

Went in to halfords borehamwood I asked the price of a set of ladder bars was told £178 also told that the only bars they do we left when I got home I went on ebay same unit £84 all in not happy with halfords

Very bad did not get the service that I was expecting spent £160 pounds for repair one month later have more problems which was there fault went back today and asked to sort it out the problem and they asked me for another £84 pounds it's a joke???????

We had a great experience from this halfords in borehamwood , my partner blew up a fuse for my sound system, and I thought the worst, but rest assured Chris and Dan was very helpful and took the time to download the fuses and where the fuse box was in about 6 sheets showing so not only did I know where to look for the fuse I also new what fuse it was nice and easy quick and dan and Chris gave me a light and tools to do the job great ???? ???? Dan and Chris are excellent and happy to help love you guys take care

Brakelight bulb fitting cheaper than advertised. Fitter checked bulb before opening and noticed I purchased slightly incorrect one and changed it for me. He checked all was working after fitting.

I was panicking because I had taken out 2 children's seats in my car that were there for my granddaughters and couldn't get them back and secure.
I was due to pick the girls up but obviously would not if it wasn't 100% sure that the seats were safe.
Come to the rescue this wonderful Halfords heroine, Monica.
She didn't have to help me because I had no proof that the seats had been purchased from Halfords.
Nevertheless she took time out to show me how to secure them with infinite patience.
So thank you Halfords and of course a great big thank you to Monica.

I must have looked a little bemused as I entered the store because a staff member asked me if I was alright, after I explained that I was after some yellow reflective tape (knowing such stuff existed as seen on website) he was immediately on the case putting aside the items he was carrying. After finding one rather short length and some consultation via his headphone to another member of staff, I got the tape I was hoping for. No queue at the checkout just quick, friendly service and a receipt without a request for email address. Good stuff; fast, efficient and friendly.

Do not go to this place.
Took my BMW 3 series due to rubbery smell from vents. They asked me £900 to repair things which weren't the problem and guess what? I left woth a new problem (leaking coolant). I took my car back and forth (nearly 6 times) and every time they said my car had no problem yet every time I had to fill coolant. Honestly it was the biggest nightmare.

Doesn’t have all the facilities of other Halfords . No fitting service for dashcams or even special order i g items . even asking them if the nearby halfords auto centre can fit them was told a resounding no ! They really need a restructuring at that store

Paid for bulb to be fitted... waited around for ages... once done didn't work... they claim it was wiring fault... went to local mechanic and he couldn't stop laughing as halfords simply didn't re connect the wire! Don't bother with halfords
