Paid for an interim service which I was told 'included brakes'. 2 months later I decided to check my brakes personally after the car was shuddering on braking. Found the rear brake discs completely gone and no pads at all - down to the metal. When I called they abruptly told me that, "Rear brakes are not included in an interim check" yet It takes no more than 30 seconds to check the rear brakes on my car. Some may argue a miscommunication issue here, I think there's room for improvement in the service SB provides. I think I am being fair with the 3 stars because by and large SB have been great, just maybe not on this occasion.

Used them for an MOT after years of going to a dealership. The difference is huge. SB Motors are a really professional service- honest, trustworthy and really reasonably priced- if they quote you a figure you can guarantee it's a fair amount. They are friendly and considerate and go out of their way to make things as convenient for you as possible. Would recommend them to anyone.

We have been using SB Motors for the last Few years to service and support both our cars. They are quite simply outstanding from the service received to the quality of the work to the simple fact that you feel comfortable bringing work to them. Simple examples, my wife dropped off our car for a service and then got a taxi homewith two kids and car seats. Seeing this the SB motors team immediately offered to drop the car back and save her the trip again. They quickly and simply replaced a light on my car at no charge. I would recommend everyone to use them, they are fantastic. Great work guys!

I had my car serviced and the MOT done together and I was most impressed by this garage. Having recently moved to Hove, I just picked the garage out from the internet and I’m so glad I found this one. The whole process online from start to finish was simple. My booking was confirmed speedily and the staff were exceedingly pleasant and efficient when I took my car in. My bill was explained in detail and the charges were reasonable. I was very happy with the car wash, too, as the seagulls had used my car as a public lavatory. I will definitely be using this garage again and I would thoroughly recommend their services.

The mechanic that dealt with me couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Looked at my exhaust and patched it up without asking for any payment. Gave great advice. I will always use these guys in the future. Had work done before and has been well done and on time.
Dec 2020 - Again the mechanics at SB Motors have saved me hundreds of pounds and didn't even charge for their effort. Best garage I have ever been to. Always friendly and helpful. I went because there was a grinding noise every time I turned right and a mechanic opposite my house told me the car was dangerous and would cost £800 to fix so might as well scrap it. Took it to the SB guys and in 1 min they found it was just a slightly bent plate pushing against something in the wheel. Straightened it out and voila, no grinding anymore and no new car needed! And all done with humour and smiles. Perfect mechanics

I cannot rate this garage highly enough. Nothing is ever too much trouble. When I book in for a service or MOT I get a courtesy car for the day, calls to ensure I am happy to go ahead with any work required and a good price. My usually filthy car is returned washed as standard and running like a dream. Despite living in Worthing I would not take my car anywhere else. A totally trustworthy and friendly run garage.

Good Garage, very competent and knowledgeble. I have used S&B over the last few years and never had no problems. I can recommend there service packages and in particular there engine treatment, flush and oil change service, which in my opinion made a remarkable difference in the performance of my van.

I’ve been a customer of SB motors for a number of years and they have always provided a fantastic service. Before using them I found the whole process of dealing with garages very stressful due to both being overcharged and also the attitude some garages have to female customers.
I have never had any problems at SB motors with either of these issues. They are totally trustworthy and helpful and the whole process is transparent. They are always doing offers and deals and often chuck in a few little extras for free on services and MOTs. Plus they are great in an emergency and I’ve had a few of them!! A world away from my previous experiences.
I normally worry about recommending places to friends and family just in case they don’t have such a good experience. But I never worry about doing that with them so now my friends all use them on my recommendation and even my parents bring their car down from London to have a service when they visit us!!

Great (fast) service. Friendly. Likeable. Efficient.....they even offered to wash my car after its MOT. This garage is female owned and has Foxy Lady approval (apparently that means they won't rip off female drivers/ owners). I went into this garage last week to get a quote for a full service for my BMW. The person in the reception said that he would give me a call tomorrow with a quote which I thought was odd but as I was leaving the reception he started coming up with a quote and said it will cost around £280. Their website lists a full service for £120. The quote he gave me was an eye watering 133% more then the price they advertised on their site. And at the end he started lecturing me that if I go somewhere else I will get a quote of £150 and that their work will be not up to the standard! All I wanted was a quote for my car inline with the price you advertised on your website. I do not recommend this place.

Good work when previously used but in comparison to other local garages their prices are a lot more expensive: £50 to turn off an engine dashboard light and a quote for £331 for a full service and Mot. I went elsewhere and got a full service and mot for £220.

Took my car into sb motors last week after having bad experience in another garage. Can not fault the level of service that I received. I picked my car up, not only had they done the repairs but also cleaned inside and out! All the staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions that I had about the repairs carried out. Would highly recommend this garage and will definately be back again ????

Honestly bewildered.
Tried to organise a pick up and fix for my car, which had some issues stalling, and a deflating tyre.
On the day of the pick-up, the guy rang me up and told me that before they were willing to fix the car, that the deflating tyre and engine stalling issues had to be resolved first, because the garage didn't have a pump for the tyre.
I told him that those issues were why I was calling him: that they were the problems I'd asked the garage to solve.
He said that before they'd come and pick up the car, that the deflating tyre and stalling engine would need to be fixed. But that's why I'd called them. I have no idea if I miscommunicated something, or if they were really unwilling to do the work I'd asked to be done. I felt like I was in bizarro land.
"Hi! Could you fix my car please?"
"Sure, just fix your car first and we'll take a look"
What an absurd and bewildering experience.
EDIT: Sadly I've had to edit this to reply to the dishonest response from SB below. They claim that I hung upon them, was rude to staff, changed the story about my car, and was generally an *ss. None of that is true, and though it would be more convenient for them if I'd been rude or unpleasant, to be honest I was just confused during the call: the above negative review was written later and upon reflection.
Worth noting that I called up a different garage today who picked it up with no hassle. They took one look at the car, said it was no problem, and drove it away. The claims below that the car was a safety hazard are disingenuous. SB judged that the car was unsafe to drive without any investigation (after all, nobody ever came out to look).
I’m glad there’s a response to this review from SB below, as hopefully it inspires better service, but there’s really no need to try to paint me as irate or rude. My overall response was feeling deeply baffled, and feeling let down by a service that offered to solve a problem that they later said must be solved before they could fix it.

I have used SB motors for the last 3 years, I have just had my Mot and service and just wanted to leave a review to say what a great service they provide, they collected my car from my home in the morning got the Mot and service and other work that needed sorting done and then bought my car back home for me and even washed it for me! I have always hated going to car garages in the past and have always found them quite intimidating places, but SB motors are really friendly, very helpful and Provide an amazing service, I will always use them from now on, I'm very happy I found them

Really pleased with the service at SB Motors. Staff were friendly and polite, and despite my car failing its MOT, the replacement parts/ labour were very reasonably priced. They even gave my car a much needed quick wash before I picked it up! I was considering Halfords/ Kwik Fit, but after my last experience and so many bad reviews online I decided to go to a local garage. Turned out to be a very good decision- the same price for an MOT and much better service. I'd definitely recommend them.

Feel sorry for the guys working there as I've just met the owner when came back for a retest. When I've mentioned that it shouldnt be a second charge, Shaun the owner asked me if I am an MOT tester as well in a very agressive mâner.
Totally disappointed.
Value your customers or you will end up having none.
