A very dodgy place. They will give you a price and expect a "SURPRISE MOFO" moment. The price is never fixed. They will lie to you, as well as blame it on each individuals working there. The price given over the phone is never including VAT. They also have hidden costs which will frustrate you to the limit. The guy fixing there is very knowledgeable and nice. But the staff in front of the house are Cons. Never trust their price and service.

i visited the store in Ilford and went in looking to buy a new stereo for my van, the Staff advised me to buy a cheaper but better stereo for my application that what i was intending to buy and had researched on and then installed the stereo in a very timely manner and without causing any other issues. very happy with the advice and service provided. I have also had a security device fitted for the van at the same time and that was also installed in a timely manner and with no issues to report. Very happy will definitely use again.

They didn't have what I was looking for, but the guy I conversed with, was knowledgeable, helpful and above all polite. He was willing to advise me on the best solutions to my various questions. They had a nice selection of systems and accessories in-store. However I Can't really comment on their prices, as I have made no comparisons.
Conclusion: As with any business, you cannot please everyone all of the time and it seems some have mixed reviews here, however in my experience, ultimately I found them to be professional and did not try to hard sell me anything, that's important to me.

Had a new head unit and a full speaker upgrade fitted here. Found them to be friendly and honest with their advice.
I arrived on the day of install and was invited into the installation bay to see them finishing up. I was was really surprised by the attention to detail and that no corners were cut. You could tell that these guys really went the extra mile to do the job properly.
Very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend to anybody, would definitely use them again.

My factory fitted Ford Navigation/entertainment system gave up the ghost recently and after being scared away by dealer/other specialist outlet prices, my mechanics recommended I try the Ilford branch of the "Car Audio Centre". The service was not only helpful, but also very professional. I was shocked at how quickly the team went about disassembling and reassembling my vehicle interior to fit an aftermarket replacement unit. In less than an hour the replacement unit was fitted and I was on my way, all at a very honest and competitive price. I would highly recommend this company. Thank you to the Ilford team.

Bought an amplifier wiring kit from a different place and didn't have tools to crimp the connections on. Took the cable and connectors here and an employee done it in front of me. Friendly guy, chatty and helpful. Cable is crimped securely and hasn't budged and doesn't seem like it will. Also bought an amp and subwoofer online over bank holiday and was here on Tuesday. Quick delivery and good service, will be using again

I spent the last six months researching and debating what type of unit to go for. Eventually I popped in to see these guys after having made several phone calls to them in advance. They were neither pushy nor did they attempt to make a hard sale, but rather were incredibly knowledgeable and honest in the options they gave me. I went in expecting to spend around £90-£300 and came out having spent just over £635. I would definitely use them again as they are the cheapest without doubt online or anywhere in the local area. I recommend doing your research before you go to see them because they are more than helpful to answer any questions you may have. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and therefore was keen to leave them a well-deserved positive review. Go and see them I guarantee you will not have any regrets whatsoever. Brilliant and knowledgeable team. After having a problem with the subwoofer that I had bought from there online store I visited this store. They quickly found the problem and were very helpful. Were able to fix in 2 minutes, what took Halfords nearly 2 hours and didn't even end up fixing it. Don't go to/ buy from halfords is the moral of the story.

Great job from the guys at Car Audio Centre Newbury Park! Called in out of curiosity and dropped in within 30 mins without an appointment. Didn't have to wait too long at all, all thanks to the guys and my main man Lincoln!! Had a nice chat with the enthusiasts when the job was done. Best believe I bought the stereo from Halfords and they told me they weren't trained to fit it in!! These guys at CAC don't get enough recognition!! Cheers!

Fairly priced I must say, obviously cheaper if you purchased online. The guy serving was most uninspiring. Either he couldn’t be bothered to sell or he could tell I knew what I wanted. It was more “take it or leave it”. I’d place his mannerism at 1 level above rude, so he was neither rude nor polite. I didn’t know whether I liked the guy or not, simply put it was a borderline service experience. I did however get what I was after, without having to use eBay.

What an amazing experience i have just had from the guys at Ilford Car Audio Centre. Links was a very experienced Car audio fitter and knowledgable guy who dismantled my car with such care and precision. This guy is at the top of his game. he explained everything he was doing and took great care whilst doing it, talk about put a very big smile on a middle aged guy. All the guys there made me feel very comfortable and all contributed to me being "just happy with my car" to "I NOW LOVE MY CAR" with its new pioneer audio and sub fitted, all at a reasonable price too !
Just want to say thanks very much and what great customer service you provide at your centre. I will definitely be coming back and will tell everyone i know to come and see you. Thanks Again guys.

What Can I Say .... For weeks I have been visiting audio "experts" trying to find an updated car system to replace my 2008 cayenne head unit. I have along the way received poor advice and lazy attitudes. One firm was hell bent on selling me something that I didn't want whilst Halfords charge double the rates and offer little to poor customer service. I came across Car Audio Centre this morning and thought "lets give it a go" this was 9:45 am and by 11:00 my car was being fitted with the latest Pioneer Apple Play and Android Auto head unit with a 12 inch sub in the back to offer complimentary bass. By 15:00 my work was done and I was shown around my new system. The head unit is absolutely superb and easy to use whilst the sub offers perfect amount of bass. After being told that my system would take a week for certain parts to arrive, I was pleasantly surprised that Car Audio Centre had everything in stock. I was even more surprised that they fitted everything on the same day. Its safe to say that I have found the type of firm that I have been looking for that can cater to my requirements, and anyone looking for an honest non pushy firm that offers expertise in audio advice and installation, then look no further. 5 / 5 service. Seldom do I write reviews but I am a very happy customer.

Went to change my headunit on my car. I phoned in advance to check if they had the model I wanted, arranged a time on the same day and discussed the cost of installation.
It took much longer than expected but it got the job done eventually. I don't understand why it was an extra cost to pay by card. Took out money from a nearby post office atm and paid cash, you still get a receipt.

Everyone was friendly and very precise in terms of helping me pick out a sub and some door speakers for my car, very efficient, got them fitted in about 90 minutes and am very pleased with the way they sound, sound clarity is brilliant but the bass is out of this world, and this was only my first installment from car audio centre. You get what you pay for at the end of the day, and the products were very expertly fitted so i know ill be able to get the most out of them. Would definitley recommend.

HAD CABLES FITTED. ALL WORKS FINE TIL I FOUND OUT THAT THE SUBWOOFER GOES TO MAX CONTINUOUS BASS WHEN I START THE CAR. SHOP OWN TELLS ME AN EXTRA PART IS NEEDED TO SORT THAT PROBLEM. PAID A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT AND STILL WANT MORE MONEY FOR SOMETHING I WAS NOT TOLD ABOUT. ITS A BRAND NEW CAR I TOOK TO GET IT FITTED AND THEY ALSO BROKE A PANEL WHICH I NOTIFIED THEM ABOUT AND THEY SAID WE DID NOT TOUCH THAT PANEL WHEN THERE IS CLEARLY A CABLE FOR THE SUBWOOFER RUNNING THROUGH THAT SAME PANEL. QUICK BODGE UP JOB WITH NO PROFESSIONALISM. CABLES ARE COMING OUT OF THE TRIM. EVERY TIME I GO BACK TO THE SHOP TO TELL THEM TO SORT OUT AN ISSUE, THEY AVOID AS MUCH AS THEY CAN AND JUST LAUGH IT OFF AND I LEAVE WITH NO SUCCESS.

Fantastic and friendly service, no hard selling just straight forward and very efficient. Having tried to get Halfords to do the same thing and told it would take over a week to order parts and book a fitting I walked into this place and they had it fitted in my car an hour later. Brilliant!
