Fantastic food, dreadful customer service
As I know the training for it, as my nephew worked in an M&S when @ uni & it's impeccable far from what you receive when you walk through the door ! Lucky if you get a hello !! ,
No wonder their sales are dropping, I could cheerfully take my custom somewhere else, if it wasn't for the fab food where the majority of the time I feel a valued customer
God knows as to what training they have had

Used to shop here regularly but will not do so from now on. I understand it is not mandatory for shop floor staff to wear masks but find most other stores do look after their staff and, therefore, customers in this way. The shopping experience is therefore comfortable. M&S do not care about staff or customers. Masks are being worn to be responsible and protect others, staff not wearing masks mean they, and the customers, are being put at risk. This afternoon the young unmasked man “securing” the door was yawning away in front of customers without even putting a hand in front of his mouth. A woman on the Customer Service desk was unmasked and talking to an elderly customer about six inches from her face. Appalling attitudes at the best of times. Social distancing obviously has not been instructed, suggesting poor training and management. Shelf fillers were leaning all over customers. M&S, your food may be of Waitrose quality but your regard for your customers and staff welfare is well below, and at the bottom of the scale.

I shop here several times per week. The staff are always excellent, smiling and very helpful. Excellent range of food, changing lines frequently, so there is always something new to tempt you. The bakery is great too.

I'm a regular shopper at Marks and Spencer. Great food. Excellent variety for every one. Meat, fish, chicken, lamb, steaks, meat pie, just to name a few. The selection is vast, and you need to have a wander around to choose your favourite!! Plenty of fruit and vegetables plus many many more items. Helpful, friendly staff, always willing to help you. M&S a truly unique store, with so many dishes to choose from. Great bakery too. You will be spoilt for choice. Car parking facilities too. Enjoy!!!!!!

Plenty of great products a marvellous array of wonderful goodies. Ordered for Christmas collection which was brilliantly organised. The till queues were a little long but most people were feeling festive so lots of chatting! Perhaps in future they should open a till for 10 items or less as lots of people in the queue only had 3-4 items. Altogether a great shopping experience.

Every thing almost has palm oil in. for any one not in the know very cheap not good for you and seriously sad for the planet. Shame on you posing as good standard with high prices. Can not even by your chocolates, laced in palm oil. "Google it and see for your self "

As a regular shopper at various M & S stores over the years I have now relocated to Bournemouth so was pleased to find this Food only branch in Westbourne. It is not too small and not too big but a very busy store. The selection of food products on offer plus flowers and cards is fine for me. As a non-driver it is handy to pick up a few odd bits every so often of products that I like. The staff on the floor and at the checkout are always cheerful and friendly as well as being helpful. Definitely recommend this store.

The news and M&S lately as they are slowly but surely getting rid of all Plastics in their shops. I was really struggling to find a place to buy goods that were not in plastic however I have noticed supermarkets starting to ban plastic bags in favour of paper that includes the grocery bags fruit and veg still a very long way to go but you're starting to make progress with John very happy and so are many other people that speak to you about you guys. We need to give climate change 110% 100% recyclable vessels whilst pulling in another 10% of plastics to be recycled we also need a universal plastic and recycling throughout the whole country needs to be more transparent. Before you shop you must find out what your local council accepts as recyclable goods. Otherwise they will end up in landfill anyway so all of your good endeavours was go to waste buy glass paper cans cornstarch aluminium hemp etc I was struggling to find milk that wasn't in plastic bottles so I started using the milkman again. My next thing was the find squash or juice that wasn't in plastic bottles. I went around all the supermarkets couldn't find what I wanted until I went into marks and Spencer old Sparks they sell M&S Scottish raspberry cordial in a glass bottle very similar to a wine bottle I also found sparkling raspberry and lemon soda and a glass bottle with a reusable cap like these to have on Grolsch bottles if you can remember so well done Marks and Spencer good for you a British Institute leading the way full stop as a British citizen who loves the Queen and the country feel that British as we are we should be leading the way on all environmental issues I do find comfort in the youth of today not only being aware and Savvy shoppers but they also understand that we cannot keep up polluting our planet as we do one step at a time they say I don't think we need the step at a time routine 110% we need to be giving I do have a suggestion why not use like they did in the old days top up tins bit like pick and mix going with all your empty vessels boxes tubs Tupperware glass bottles etc even your delivery vehicles can fill up people's tubs at home and little like the milkman in the old days but they are back. Also as a British Institute and world leaders I would like to see more Boris Bikes in your car parks and car charging facilities in your car parks you could even have a wind turbine on site to power this. So come on M&S keep up the good work we all love you we don't mind the extra expense at the moment because we know it'll become cheaper soon the war on plastic continues.

Please please please reinstate the serviced tills, your current setup does not work. People with a full trolley who constitute most of your customers do not want to use self service tills. The queues were so long on Friday that I went over my time in the car park. I will not be using this branch again if the current situation continues.
