AVOID AT ALL COSTS... ...if you want any control over your business. We have been with AccountsNet since 2013 and never had any trouble until they were recently acquired by JSA. Absolutely appalling service ever since - among other things they have got simple things wrong such as name and address details, filed our returns late, updated the online portal after several delays. The final straw is that they have refused to settle our final accounts until July - apparently they are very busy with a huge backlog so in these extremely challenging times for businesses, accounting with JSA may end up making your life that much more difficult. If we had any other alternative at this stage we would have left them for another service, but unfortunately we are stuck with them for now.... but if this review can save even one other business owner from financial hardships then I will be glad.

Highly recommended. I've worked with JSA for several years both as my umbrella company and they've help me set up and manage my limited company. In both capacities they have been outstanding. Fast, responsive, efficient, kind, helpful... If you ever have a question, anyone who answers the phone can check your record and answer confidently - no passing around to different departments or anything like that. They are a joy to work with.

**UPDATE 2021** - Still no answer from JSA support managers as promised by the owner response below. Standard JSA, all words but useless support and services. AVOID!!! Been a customer for 8 years, I can't think of a single time I was happy with their service or skills. Poor communication. Zero personal service. They just do the basics, but poorly. Dates set and promised by JSA don't mean anything.. when missed they just give excuses .. customer service and expertise in business is very limited. When issues are escalated, you just get more excuses. When asking a question or try to contact your account manager (which changed constantly), they always have to get back to you.. but they never do. You have to constantly chase. When HMRC deadlines get close, they contact you with just days notice and put the pressure on YOU to do it on time. Then constant blame everyone else but themselves for the delays. Not proactive at all. Emails are generic. Sometimes is hard to know if you're being emailed by a person or a robot. It's a bare basic service which doesn't warrant the fees.

I always receive a stellar service from Dawn and her team. Even in this new "normal", I always get a quick response from Dawn. Dawn and her team are very professional and very accommodating. I work on projects with very tight deadlines and as a result I find myself submitting my VAT returns at the last minute but I have been very impressed by Dawn's team turnaround of reviewing and submitting the return on time. I have received sound advice from JSA on my IR35 situation for which I am very grateful. Whenever I need clarification on any accounting or tax issues, I can rely on getting the best advice from Dawn and her team. I am very satisfied with the service that I receive from Dawn and JSA. I am happy to recommend their service any time.

I have and continue to experience nothing but problems with this company. I have been emailed another company accounts twice which I found astonishing and extremely concerning! I've been fined because they've not submitted accounts on time. I am absolutely sick of dealing with the firm if the truth be known. Everything was running perfectly fine when I was using accountsnet but since JSA took over, it's been an absolute disgrace! I hope you read this message and get things sorted out within your organisation because it's an embarrassment.

Absolutely everything perfect first time, no mistakes, no ambiguities. Advice over the phone was great, no long queues, the money went into the bank on time, the self service portal is easy to use and navigate. I can't recommend JSA highly enough. Great service all round.

All-in-one package. I've used JSA Services since starting my Ltd Company 13 years ago, and after a shaky first few months (some of which may have been my inexperience or expectations) and since the launch of a new portal with a much improved dashboard and ease of use it has been a doddle to keep on top of things. I have kept a spreadsheet alongside the online stuff 'just in case' and have not needed to use it or correct anything. I use them for my insurance package (as part of the monthly cost) which is cost-effective, and they are my HMRC agent (saving me time doing all that too). When I've needed additional advice they have come up trumps every time with speedy replies. If my dedicated account manager is unavailable someone will pick it up. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you are just starting out or 'don't do accounting'.

Very bad account support since AccountsNet became JSA. Unresponsive to emails and phone is not an efficient way to connect with the support team. Won't be able to continue working with them on this basis. Some questions need quick responses and a 24 hour turnaround time shouldn't be too much to ask.

Please please please do not use this company as a umbrella company, they never paid correctly and then stated they have over paid me and want to take me to court, even though I never refused to pay but wanted proof of their claim. 3 months later I have never received a P45 or P60, or any documents I requested. But they still want the money. Worst experience of my life.

If your thinking about using this company specifically as an umbrella, it’s not worth the hassle. During this pandemic they stated I wouldn’t be eligible for furlough (including a manager), had to explain to them how the government guidelines worked regarding this and only then did they pay what I was owed. They lacked in professionalism and were incompetent. I will be moving to another umbrella company that is reputable. Appalling service.

My experience with JSA has been absolutely horrendous!! I have never experienced such incompetence in my life. If you are considering hiring them please don't, spare your poor employees or yourself the suffering I had to go through. I was forced to work with JSA by the recruitment company that hired me to do supply work for a school and I constantly had issues with them. I didn't receive my first payment until I followed up with them, they then told me it was because my bank details were changed on their online platform and it was my responsibility to let them know (which is not stated anywhere). Funny thing though is that I did email them before payment was due to let them know my bank details have changed. Which they then obviously had no response to, except that they could send me 100 pounds to hold me over until I get my payment. Uhm, how about you just pay me my money?! There were also multiple occasions where I would ask a question, get an answer from a consultant, to then later just be told that the consultant was wrong. I did bring this all to my company and JSA's attention, which obviously got JSA springing into action all of a sudden. However, then COVID and furlough happened. JSA already can't do the bare minimum, and now they actually need to do something. Which they didn't! JSA didn't get everything in order in time so that we could get paid 80% of our salaries, but instead we could only get 80% of the minimum wage. They did not seem to care that people had families or bills to pay, it was just another 'Oops, we messed up.' In the end they sorted it out, but for them to put people through unnecessary stress during an already stressful time is basically the JSA way.

I have used JSA before as an umbrella company and they have been amazing. However, a whole different experience with the accounting team. I am paying over 180 a month, but have been left to do things myself, or chasing up the accountant team- payroll set up and VAT registration. My personal account has not spoken to me once, which is disappointing. Professional handover has taken so far 9 days still not complete.Although i have been told that they are submitting my PAYE, now after 7 days been told they have not. The only reason i have not given 1 star, Sejal has been amazing but she is not my accountant.

The Truth
Worst customers services ever. Cloud9 was definitely better! As an umbrella, they are not able to do the bridge between me and my clients. They said to you, they set up a weekly payment, but if your client choose to paid you 30 days after your work, you will not receive the money until 40 days sometimes. They forgot to send invoice to my client. I got some errors on my timesheet. And I feel really bad, because they charge you on your payslip, but at the end, I don't see where this money go, as they are not able to do their job. Don't go with them as an umbrella. Good luck

The worst accountancy company I have ever used! The are useless! They had changed 4 accountants in 2 years and instead of doing what they are supposed to do, they are just making everything a hell. Don't use them! You will pay a bigger monthly fee than any other accounts company, and they will ruin your accountancy!
