We found this place on Google and despite the fact of low rate we gave it a try. So, in the nutshell we had amazing afternoon tea. I am not big drinker of tea but we had everything served fast and on time, tea, scones and cakes were delicious as well. Traditional afternoon tea for 2 will be 44.95£; tea cream will cost you 16.75£ for 2 (it has only scones). Staff was helpful! Enjoy this place.

Nice decor but a bit too sweet to my taste but a pleasant resting place in oxford street after walking around for a while. The service was fine but slow. We ordered jacket potato and it was ok but not more than that. Nothing special although the place is quite pricey. On the other hand we got free tap water served.

Beautiful room and perfect to place to recharge batteries while shopping in Oxford St. I wasn’t impressed with the scones though.

Fun place and friendly staff makes this a great destination for Afternoon Tea, or just a coffee break! Their scones were easily the best I've ever had, and their different flavours of scones made it all more exciting. Really good chai tea as well, just an all round great experience.

There were some not so great interactions with the staff (mostly one in particular). The waitress asked for our orders impatiently as though we were taking up all of her time, and she didn't even write them down. My friend asked what kind of fruit was in the fruit scones and her reply was, "normal ones." They forgot to bring out one of the pots of tea that we ordered. By the time we told them and they brought it out, it was already 25 min past when we got all of our other orders. I would not recommend the coffee and walnut cake, it's not very good. My friends and I were still glad to find this place. The environment is interesting and fun to be in. The rest of the food was wonderful. The Tea Terrace is a nice place to go for some light fare for a reasonable price. It's easy to find and doesn't require reservations, so it's easy to go at a moments notice. Even on a Saturday we only waited maybe 10 min. for a table. In general, the staff did seem attentive and helpful if you wanted to ask them something.

Went to the Tea terrace as a surprise birthday treat for my 29 year old, who is a complete Disney Princess. We ate in one of the Cinderella carriages, lovely. We had the lunch menu, portions were large, but tasty. In retrospect wish we'd gone for the teatime menu. Friendly helpful staff, would definitely recommend xx

Service slow, inefficient, forgot items, understaff, and food a disgrace chips were fried on old oil and it’s came mushy and with with a horrible taste, staff never check on the quality of the food and when she came to clear the table she saw my place did not asked anything, did not give a dame! Afternoon tea is ok, but a place for your lunch... go anywhere else McDonalds, Subway, or buy a bag of crisps and you will be happier! I really do not recommend this place!

This wasn't anything to write home about. The decorations and setting were very cute but very limited cakes. And we each ordered a pot but definitely could have ordered just one. But they didn't suggest that. And no options of vegan or gluten free so tea only for me.

I had lunch here and ordered the simple penne pasta with tomato sauce; it was a struggle. When eating the pasta, the taste was ok, but as I would take each bite, the temperature of the pasta would range from burning hot to lukewarm. In the end I gave up. My meal cost about £16 and included a bread roll, a coke and the 11% gratuity. My takeaway was that lunch may not have been the smartest choice in a place that was more dedicated to tea and cake options.

Cute, adorable little place! I really enjoyed having cream tea here! The atmosphere was nice and the food was scrumptious. If you want to eat in the carriage its more money and need reservations at times since there are only two.

This was the first time, and will be the last of course. Although, staff were friendly but weren’t attentive and service was quite slow and I felt that the place should be managed better, waiters were quite lost between the orders, although it wasn’t crowded. In regard to my order,, tea was served almost 10 minutes before the scone arrived. I guess afternoon tea set should be all served at once!

Great decor and both the food and tea were excellent. The service could have been a bit faster though, and we had to wait several minutes before someone came over to seat us, despite the fact it wasn't very busy.

I had afternoon tea in the carriage with my husband, sister, and 5-year-old niece - we all loved it! The food was good and the staff were very friendly. You need to book in advance for the princess carriage and there is an extra charge of £12 per person, but then the afternoon tea is £22 per person so it’s not too expensive as far as afternoon tea goes - and having it in a carriage creates lasting memories!

Great place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea. Its located by the children's department up on the 5th floor. Its look is very quaint and fun. You do have to reserve ahead of time to sit and enjoy tea in one of the two Cinderella carriages they have but it is more costly. The food is delicious and the tea is perfect. The don't however have the selfieccino which was a big disappointment. It's in need of repair but no one can seem to fix it. So if your going for that you will be let down.

Lovely setting in House of Fraser. Excellent teas lunch snacks. Superb gluten free options. Bit clinical _ staff robotic. Smile at them and they unfreeze a little. If you like all thing tea in stylish fun surroundings this is an affordable and lovely place to visit.

I just happened to turn up here, didn't plan it and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is amazing. The carriage-style seating gives a fairy-tale ambience. Some groups were having their hen-dos in these carriages (pre-booked), afternoon tea. I absolutely loved my gooey chocolatey pudding with ice-cream and coffee. I love hot desserts and not many places serve that with afternoon coffee. The tables were laid out in pastel shades of Alice in Wonderland style placement mats and cutleries, which enhanced the experience. Overall quite a fun-filled regal experience.

04/01/20 Prices = expensive Quality of food ordered = not good Would I return or recommend = no Family had booked one of the carriage tables. Price to book is ridiculous for the "experience" Menu is limited. Food was like frozen home cooking standard. Had the fish & chips. I can personally produce a better meal. There was hardly any actual cod and it was a bit stringy. Will not go again. Didn't bring it up with management as didn't want to cause a scene in front of nieces as it was the eldests birthday.

Lovely decor and very good service the lunch portions are very generous! Be prepare to wait for a table appr.15-30min on Saturdays a bit disappointed with a cake; had a coffee and walnut and nothing special, you could barely taste coffee, more like supermarket product than home made.

An absolute delight in all aspects. The girls were attentive, very friendly and helpful. The Afternoon Tea was fresh and delicious with an excellent choice of sandwiches, scones (apple and cinnamon to die for!)and varied flavours of tea. The decor was sublime...so pretty and appealing. Reduced two middle aged ladies into young girls with the excitement of it all! I have shared our experience on Facebook and raised quite about of interest. Thank-you to the staff for adding to the birthday afternoon with your friendliness. Oh and for London it was very inexpensive too.. Delighted to recommend.

Lovely relaxed cafe area within a superstore which provides delicious cakes and great tea. Sit back and relax in one of their comfy stylish chairs or even a cinderalla carriage and have a little fun and give those feet of yours a rest from shopping and full your bellies.

The breakfast here used to be half decent but they have definitely cut back. The bread is borderline stale and they have added fruit to substitute the reduction of portions. The decor and atmosphere is cute for an afternoon break after shopping or to take little kiddies but don't expect great food.

Very kind waiters, however the manager is rude. Food is normal, nice ambience, only if the restaurant was not open on the kids clothing shop. The scones and cupcakes are yummy. P.s* it is not a rooftop place. All indoors.

I love this place. Situated inside house of FRASER on the top floor. Very well decorated, with a relaxing atmosphere. Great selection of teas but the desserts was very limited and no food is served an hour before closing.

Staff is very friendly and efficient. They get 5 starts from me. However the brand itself is not what I expected. £3,95 for a tea which then comes to £4,30 with the service charge and it’s not even loose leaf. It’s a teabag. Maybe still leads in the teabag but still was expecting those teapots where they would add a teaspoon of loose leafs. The space is cute and very instagramable for sure. I think the prices for what they serve needs a bit of an evaluation.

The Prettiest English Tea Cafe "Tea's proper use is to amuse the idle, and relax the studious, and dilute the full meals of those who cannot use exercise and who will not use abstinence." Samuel Johnson English buttered scones..Jacket Potatoes..and Grilled Salmon..topped with a Coffee Walnut pastry!! What can be more English than that!!???? And the attractive decor beckons..as you enter into a fairy tale world of Cinderella & her carriage..and the colourful porcelain which lights up the delightful ambience!

Fitted us in without a reservation but the service was very poor. We couldn't get the waitress' attention so had to go up to the desk when we wanted to order something or wanted the bill . However, as soon as we were finished, the staff couldn't get us out of there fast enough and waited by the table with their cleaning spray while we put on our coats. Wasn't the nicest experience considering we were there for a friend's birthday.

Beautiful place and loved the decor, is a small part of the top floor kids section in the house of Fraser on Oxford street. So many options to choose from to eat, lovely customer service, the food will definitely fill you up. Loved the selections of tea, I had Darjeeling and Pomegranate and both were wonderful, will definitely go back again.

Great spot to get together for a girls day out. Their menu is extensive and the ambience isn’t terrible (considering it’s inside a shopping centre). I was visiting from North America and felt like I got the perfect high tea experience at this spot. :)

Asked for a bespoke coffee but received something else. Complained and staff dealt with it promptly, brought me the correct coffee without any delay and more importantly, with a smile. That's what good service is all about - we all make mistakes but how we deal with the aftermath is what counts. Scones were brilliant. Ordered twice - couldn't help it.
