Nice place, nice food, nice relaxed atmosphere, staff not as attentive as other Ivy's I have been too, service was still good though. Only downside is no reception if seated downstairs.

Love the ambience and the food. Black cod was really good, and the bread that came with the duck pâté is amazing.

My husband had booked a table online for our wedding anniversary for 8.15pm last night. We had also booked to stay in a hotel in London. At 4pm we had a call to say our table was cancelled due to the bad weather. (we had not been informed the restaurant had moved us outside to the terrace, nor did it indicate this in any way on the original booking.) We asked if we could sit inside as originally booked and the restaurant said no as they had now booked the inside for 2 private functions. Cancelling so last minute left us with no alternatives for dinner. The restaurant did offer us a 10pm table however we felt this was too late to dine. A very disappointing experience and one that left us ringing around for last minute reservations. Luckily we had a wonderful experience at Dishoom. We would highly recommend Dishoom if you find yourself in a similar position.

This was my first experience of dining out since lockdown loosened and it went off to a bad start. My drink order was wrong as well as the waiters giving and charging our table for still water when tap water was ordered. The poached egg in my order was also I overcooked and the bill came to our with an additional £30 of items, that we did not order, had been added to our bill. For the price of the food and reputation of the restaurant I was quite disappointed. I appreciate that it's been a very long time since their doors opened for dining so I can only hope that this was a one-off. Nonetheless, I don't think I will be returning

Always the best service, divine food, perfectly composed Art Deco setting, sublime beverages, all you need to add is equally seraphic company.

This is the first of the Ivy restaurant collections me and my missus visited and I must say I'm impressed. Thermal checks were carried out upon arrival, there is a lot of social distancing maintained between the tables. We tried the shepherd's pie which was small in portion but tasty, we also tried the grilled chicken salad which I would say was great except that the chicken was a bit extra charred which ruined the taste a bit, but ya not the end of the world. Wide range of drinks are available too. For desserts we had the creme brulee and I'm in love with it. The staff here is very friendly and happy to serve. Will definitely be visiting an Ivy restaurant soon.

Absolutely fantastic as always, the staff are friendly and helpful always willing to go the extra mile and the food and cocktails are phenomenal. I highly recommend the steak tartar, courgette frites and the green beans with almonds.

Yet again the Ivy delivers! One of the smaller restaurants of it's kind but just as superb as all the others. Great food and drinks menu. We asked to be seated outside and this was granted. Outdoor heaters and blankets are provided if you feel chilly. The staff were friendly and attentive. I went down the fish route for starter and main courses, and they were both absolutely delicious. The cocktails were amazing and a special selection for the Chelsea flower show were making an appearance. Very busy restaurant but this doesn't affect the food or the service.

Worst experience ever! Made a reservation for 2 for our special day. When I got to reception, staff didn't even said great or acknowledged us! Only thing we heard was: We are fully booked for today! Come back another day while the people behind were let in... I try to explain I had made a reservation and she abrouptly interrupted me repeating:fully booked". Guess we weren't to her standard... Luckly the Savoy down the road were accommodating and made our day soo special. P.S: we won't bother ever again!

Good food, nice terrace in front of the Covent Garden. However, I would’ve expected a better service considering that it is part of “The Ivy”.

We had a reservation here. The atmosphere was great - the music sounded great - like something out of an old film. The decor was nice too. The waiters where great - however unfortunately they had given us the wrong starter (which was easily corrected) and then attempted to give us drinks meant for the next table. This was still on the bill at the end. The food was really nice. I had duck liver parfait for starters and lobster and asparagus gratin as a main. Both excellent choices. I finished with the cappuccino cake and my girlfriend the creme brûlée. Would have been four stars if the above did not happen.

Not a fan of the Ivy in general, they are terrible value for money. Very average food at a massive premium, but I had lunch here and it was lovely (not amazing, but lovely). Great service and food was much better than I'd had at other restaurants in the chain. If you're after a nice meal in a lovely spot in Central London, I'd recommend this place.

Afternoon tea here saved my life. It is a chic place and a big selection. I loved the service and the food. Fancy but reasonable pricing, came back for breakfast and felt a lack of healthy options a bit disappoing. Mostly bread based

The best fish and chips I had during 7 years living in the UK! Everything was great - very welcoming staff, food, drink and coffee. Portion of fish and chips is big, very tasty and it's very filling!! If you want to enjoy seating on the terrace I would highly recommend booking as the tables there go fast. Though it is very nice inside too. Definitely would love to come back and bring my husband and my parents!

Very traditional gourmet English pub where you can order one of the best fish&chips, steaks and salats. The service is accurate and attentive. The perfect design of a traditional pub so you can take a seat at the bar counter or at the dining table. A lot is space inside, much more than you can evaluate from outside. The oof was tasty, and definitely I can recommend and would come back.

What a great way to end our last night. We thought we had missed our opportunity. We had made our reservation but got our theater nights messed up. The hostess was most gracious and still seated us. We got a perfect table for two looking out over Covent Garden Market. We started with the tempura shrimp and steak tartar. I had to have Shepard's pie at least once on this journey. This was not a bad choice at all. Even the lovely couple next to us had entree envy. The fish and chips was wonderful. Now onto dessert. Lemon meringue Alaska an apple tart is how we chose to end this food adventure. Thank you to our server Andrew. Amazing service, good timing. Most off all thank you to the hostess Karina. Our amazing dinner would not have happened without you working you magic.

All of the Ivy brand restaurants are excellent. Our usual one in the city was closed during covid so we visited this one as we had a day up in town. I advise booking early as it was very busy and we could only get 3 pm. That said, food and service up to the usual high standard. Had our temperature taken before they allowed us entry and we felt very covid-safe. Not the cheapest place to eat but well worth a visit if you don't mind splashing out. You certainly get what you pay for.

This is a great restaurant! We thought we had a reservation through our but apparently not, so we instead sat outside. They had heaters outside so it was really nice and a beautiful setting! The food was delicious (very british options) and everyone was happy. The desserts also looked good but we were tired so we skipped dessert. The waiters were really nice! overall it was a great experience.

Having previously eaten at the London Bridge branch, we were looking forward to dining at the Covent Garden branch. We were not disappointed! We were seated next to the bar, great after theatre ambience. The food was lovely. We will definitely be back again. Great attentive staff who tended to our every need.

Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere! It reminds me of old brasseries in Paris or Brussels. The staff is very friendly, great service. The food is fresh and delicious! We had eggs Royale, poached eggs and Greek yogurt with berries.

Great little restaurant with cute patio in Covent garden. Wonderful atmosphere among the busy crowds of Covent Garden. Food is pretty good as well. We had curry with prawns, lamb and steak. Came with 2 kids and it was lovely to see no smoking on the patio. All was great and the prices are typical of the area and London.

Went here for a work Christmas meal. We had our own suite under the main restaurant which was beautifully furnished with extremely attentive staff. All of the food was great. The starter was a good quality smoked salmon with warm bread (honestly the most amazing bread I've ever had). I forgot a picture of the main course (turkey dinner, all the trimmings) but everything about it was perfect. Drinks too were done well. When we ordered a beer, it was served in an iced glass. The cocktails too were great quality - in particular the bloody mary, done perfectly to my liking. Amazing staff, fantastic food, great drinks. The Ivy Market Grill is a 10/10

Had the most wonderful time on New Year’s Eve. It is in the heart of London- Covent Garden. I did not book in advance, so I do recommend doing that before going there. It was super busy, but me and my husband got a table very fast. Everything was superb. Highly recommend when out and about in Central London.

Ok if you want a rushed meal. Our waiter was lovely erik very polite. People on the door very rude. Refurin to customers as YOU wait there. I have been to a few ivy and this one I would not return. Starter and main came to quickly and when I told the waitress can we have a bit of time to let that go down. Was told well you only have 40mins to enjoy dessert. Booking says 2hrs we definitely didn't have that. It was a birthday present for a friend was very disappointed????

Whenever I'm in Covent Garden The Ivy is one of 3 restaurants I go to. This Ivy is my least favourite though, the decor inside makes me feeling I'm in a Mafia film ????. I always feel like I need a cigar. You go to this Ivy if your having a business meeting. Outdoor is nice. Food is 5* per usual

First time to the Ivy Grill and to London for 4 months. Effortless service, reliably good food. Minor comment that the Arancini nibbles were a little dry but to feel a sense of normality with great food and wine watching an all be it quieter Covent Garden drift by was wonderful.

Breakfast is the essential here, great location just off Covent Garden market, the approach in the morning is wonderful before all the hustle and bustle starts on the square outside. Sit down in the Art Deco setting and enjoy a varied menu. The staff serve well, the food tastes good and it’s a great way to start the day in old London Town.

Great food and excellent service, as I suspect you would expect from the Ivy brand. Family friendly, with a kids menu, and all the Ivy classics like the Shepard’s pie. Well worth a visit and you don’t always have to book.

Would not recommend again. Very disappointed with the booking policy. Placed a booking for a table outdoor, was told they would do their best to accommodate the table outside. Called the same day to double check that the table allocated was under the external cover since it was raining and was ensured it was. When we arrived the table was not under the covered part. This is just very bad customer service. I understand the no booking outside policy under normal circumstances, but in a time when we are not willing and allowed to seat inside and I made it clear that if the table was not outdoor we would not be able to stay there, I would expect a much better service from one of The Ivy.... I have provided all my details in your website so that you are able to locate my reservation on sunday 25/10/2020 at 12:00 for 3 people.

Delicious food! My favourite was the blackened cod and the truffled arancini. Probably the best version of roast chicken I've had to date too.

A wonderful institution at Covent Garden (even if its only been open a few years !) Go, on a sunny day, on a rainy day....just go ! You won't be disappointed. I've been going to a restaurant on this spot for more than 50 years (not the same one though !) ....and its a great place at lunchtime...or dinner. Make a not, and don't miss when you're in London.

Great cocktails and ambiance! I didn't like the fact that due to covid they have to take your temperature which is fine. However the were using an electronic device (like tablet) where they were taken your photo/picture as well. They could just use a normal one. Anyhow, worth visiting if you go to covent garden.

Great old-school venue with an innovative yet classic cocktail menu. I had the pumpkin tortellini & then the shepherd's pie. I was so full on a good way) that I couldn't even look at the dessert menu. Good prices! Next time I'm in town I'll probably come back.
