I completed the introductory course and really enjoyed it. The tutors were great; really welcoming, friendly and very clear and thorough in their explanations and demonstrations. They offered encouragement and support throughout. The structure was easy to follow and understand.

I started studying at NLSSM in 2019. The course and classes were engaging, exceptional, challenging and fun and has given me the confidence to be a competent therapist. All the tutors were excellent and the teaching was high quality, with different methods of teaching, throughout the course. I could not recommend it more. The tutors were very understanding of my needs and spent time, to ensure you felt confident even in a one to one setting. I would recommend NLSSM to anyone interested in pursuing a future career in sports massage.

I’ve trained at a number of schools for my various qualifications, culminating most recently in my Level 5 BTEC in Sports Massage & Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy. I researched other training providers but chose NLSSM as it seemed the most professional in its approach and publicly has the most active and supportive graduate community, which was important to me as whilst training is essential having a go to group when working is more so.
The course started well and then Covid arrived! But the NLSSM team got to grips with the situation quickly, and despite all the challenges I completed my training only a month or so later than originally anticipated. The tutors were knowledgeable, and happy to share more than just topics from the curriculum, keeping the subject matter relevant to the real world. The shift to online learning was very well managed, and in fact some of it I hope will be kept as I feel it really added to the depth of learning that I enjoyed.
Students ranged from the young to the old, some with no experience and some with years of experience, but the pace was well set and the disparity of knowledge well handled. Having now graduated I have made some lifelong friends from the course, and am enjoying the community of NLSSM graduates spread nationwide and further afield. I’d be happy to speak to anyone considering doing this course to answer any questions and assuage any doubts they might have, as this was the best training school I have attended.

I completed the Diploma Course at NLSSM and qualified in September 2020. Its a fantastic organisation that went above and beyond to support me on my journey to become a massage therapist.
The tutors are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The opportunities to take part in work experience and student clinics are an invaluable part of the learning. Looking back its incredible how much I leant, but the course is structured so well that it builds up step by step and by taking each piece in turn it can be tackled without ever seeming too daunting.
I enjoyed the learning experience at NLSSM very much, I'd recommend them without hesitation.

I was really apprehensive about studying again after so long but from the moment I attended the initial induction weekend, I felt like I was part of a family. The Tutors are so knowledgeable, friendly and patient and even when we were unable to attend classes in person due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff and tutors were quick to set up online learning, zoom meetings and quizzes so our course and learning could continue. It's thanks to them that I recently gained my BTEC level 5 Sports Massage and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy diploma and I've also made new friends for life! I highly recommend NLSSM.

All the Tutors are extremely knowledgeable and professional but deliver the material in their own style bringing their personality and humour with it!

I'm currently in the middle of the course (Level 5 Diploma) and already can tell it was really great decision to start it with NLSSM. Was worried that I'll have difficulties with the language (English is not my first language) but it's not a problem at all. The quality of teaching is high, but without confusing students, especially if you don't have any background in medical science. If you're looking to become sports massage therapist, this school will prepare you for your new career.

Exceptional, Professional tutors and a fantastic Host in Susan, she is very supportive and a great teacher. The course is challenging but gives you the tools to excel in the Sports massage and health and wellness side of things. Great course content and a heap of knowledge to be gained from this course. A fantastic opportunity not to be missed at NLSSM, I certainly didn't!

I found the standard of training and education at NLSSM to be absolutely exceptional. The course material was endlessly fascinating and highly practical, and set me up for success across the board.
We were taught by an impressive line up of tutors, each working at the top of their field, generous with their knowledge and keen to help us get the right start. I left with a BTEC level 5 Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage and found myself so well prepared that I was able to choose between job offers from a number of London's leading physio clinics. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the school and really can't speak highly enough of my experience there.

The standard of education here is first class. The dedication and knowledge of the teachers second to none. The course is thorough and the required standard of attainment is high. Not everyone makes the grade. If you want to seriously learn Sports and Remedial Massage this is the only place to study.

I was a student at the NLSSM from 2008 to 2009 and since then have also taken further CPD with the school.
Since Qualifying I have been able to build run a highly successful business Equilibrium .
I work from home with wide variety of people of all ages and have an active client base now over 3000 local and international people.
The level of tuition and skills I have learned through them was fundamental in setting up my clinic, I cannot rate them highly enough.
I have sent several other potential students to them for training and will continue to do so.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, nothing is too small to ask them. The courses are informative and fun while also being challenging - they make you work and think things through rather than handing out the answers. Even post course they are always there for you to ask advice from via phone, email or social media. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I completed my BTEC level 5 Diploma in Sport and Remedial massage at NLSSM. There is no limit to the praise I can heap on everyone related to the school. From the tutors, to support staff everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help.
I not only gained invaluable knowledge but also the confidence to go out into the real world and use that knowledge to help people.
NLSSM was the stepping stone to the career I always wanted, I now get to travel the world working at Ironman and Challenge triathlon events in the summer and work with the British Bobsleigh team in the winter.

I've completed the sports massage course as well as several short courses at NLSSM. The teachers are very knowledgable, professional and friendly, always going an extra mile. The environment is clean, professional and comfortable. I have learned more than I've expected - from anatomy, techniques, client care to setting up a business. It was hard work but it has paid off and my busy clinic is a testimony to the teachers and the school.

I first attended the student clinic here, for treatment. I was so impressed with the set up and the standard of the students, in comparison to a lot of remedial work I'd had done previously, that I signed up for the course myself as i was looking for a career change anyway.
It was a huge challenge, but I learned a huge amount and now have the highest possible qualification available to massage students in this country (BTEC lvl5).
I can't fault the teaching, support, the facilities or the way it challenged me to think about anatomy and physiology and how much we can do to help improve physical performance. I also picked up some great new friends and acquaintances.
I've been back for several extra courses to further my knowledge and they have all been excellent.
If you're looking to further your knowledge about soft tissue either as a professional or an amateur (the introductory weekends are great!), or get a very reasonable treatment, then i feel that you can't go wrong here.

Tutors are excellent and the study course has been developed to ensure you will be one of the best trained massage therapists in the UK. I've worked at many sporting events, with professional and amateur teams and athletes, and with therapist from all over Europe. I have no hesitation in pitching my skills against therapists, physios, chiros, osteos and sports rehabilitators from across Europe confident in the theoretical knowledge and physical therapy skills gained by studying at NLSSM. This is not an easy course to pass, so be prepared to study hard and to invest in your development with the best massage training school in the UK, bar none.
