I lived there 40 years ago back in 79/80, top floor of what they called the hotel. Besides the hotel not having a working elevator my entire stay as these things go it was not a bad place at all, it had a theater, weight room, a library a huge yard at that time (no more thanks to drones) and the food was awesome, I remember the Sunday morning rolls were to die for.
I was in the minority of the people I knew at that time because I never went back to CRC or any other place like it. Yes I was Rehabilitated at the California Rehabilitation Center. That's my Highschool Sweetheart Carol Cappa who I married soon after my time in CRC, she's fighting liver and lung cancer right now.

I come over 1000 miles to visit. Staff is on there job, for the most part they are nice. Just way to many steps to climb. Very pretty place for a State prison. I was very surprised.

El peor personal de servicio son unos pésimos, rasistas, y discriminadores, la primera vez que fue me la hicieron de cuadritos solo por mi vestuario y me regresaron 3 veces a cambiarme y yo con mi bebé en brazo fueron súper inconsistentes y no me querían hablar en español y eran latinos y la segunda vez que fui vi que a las demás personas las dejaban entrar sin ningún problema, son unos inútiles deberían de ser amables y ser profesionales no unos animales sin disciplina
