I was frankly shocked by the accommodations here. Coffee better than at the Lompoc property, but none of the privacy and quiet of the justly celebrated if a bit spartan ADX Florence. The checkout process takes what seems to be years. Also I miss the old days of the dances and softball with the Sybil Brand guests. . One hidden treasure is the tattoo operation in 2 West. Fabio is an absolute artist; of course choice of colors matches whatever checkers or chess pieces are available in the Spa. The convenience store on 1 is surprisingly good even though its main focus seems to be socks and ramen. Awfully expensive. Help is surly at best. I think that must go all the way to management level. It's as if the customer is always wrong. And I did not appreciate the constant questions from concierge "answering only yes or no, do you blah blah blah?" and my favorite "Move away from the door" when they're bringing room service. Tone, people, tone. It comes off so rude, and "only yes or no" is wholly inadequate to convey the nuanced positions of the parties to a bit of a dust-up I was involved in at the spa level restaurant Finally, I asked for a private room overlooking the water, hypoallergenic pillow and egyptian cotton sheets, PLEASE, but desk staff were extremely rude and uncooperative. They just are not meeting the criteria of a four-star or even three-star establishment. I ask you, does that picture below look like a private room?? Two stars but only because of the rather spirited happy hour at 5 every Wednesday. Artisanal pruno takes some getting used to but it is a complex, smoky drink with hints of offal and the barnyard.

Free food and lodging! Room service is always on time. Gets really quiet after 9p but I have to give it 4 stars because there's no Wifi access!

This place looks like Disneyland compared to Chino, Wasco or San Quentin. It actually has a tennis court on the bay.

Food was okay but the place was crowded. After on night we decided to move up to the North Coast to Lompoc. Much better up there if you get a space in the camp. The views were good at T.I. but the concierge service was both lacking and intrusive.

Great spent enough time there to forget about my crime

Despite the excellent cuisine, I have to give this prison just one star. You ask why? Why, because it is impossible to escape from anymore. I drove out in a firetruck through the double gates quite a few years ago and made a successful escape. US marshals brought me back not long after word, unfortunately, but I have learned to adjust and accept my life here. The correctional offices rare just wonderful, they provide counseling. Massages. And if the price is right there bring you anything from the outside. And I just love the captain. But I need a vacation!

I got the death sentence 1/5 weren't die again

I came here for the brunch but got mixed up in the shuffle and it took a writ of habius corpus to get out of there . The waiter was cute but a bit slow probably the shackles . get the bottomless toilet mimosas well worth the wait to get in .

Love this place. The steak Monday, lobster Tuesday, shrimp Wednesday, pizza Thursday and the candle lit dinner surprise Friday is the best!

It's all good...except for the protected chomos on the yard. Ain't what's supposed to be happening. But,a lot of cool people other than that.

I did 7 years here.. I'd rather be in the feds then in state prison any day.
