I could not be happier with my decision to do a lip lift with Dr. Kwak! The look is so natural as if I had no work done! The benefit of having a more permanent fuller look to my lips without having to continuously refill them, seemed like a no brainer! For years, I have been self conscious about my lips to the point of not buying/ wearing lipstick. Now almost 4 months post surgery, I feel so confident with lipstick on! The surgery itself was so quick as it was about 1.5 hours long. Dr. Kwak and his staff make sure that you are as comfortable and relaxed as possible before, during and after the procedure. The recovery process involved little to no pain, just some minor swelling to my lips. After about 1-1.5 weeks post-op, I felt great getting back to my social life. If you are debating filler or surgery, highly consider a lip lift with Dr. Kwak !

Words could not describe enough how amazing this experience has been for me. I had a rhinoplasty and double eyelids surgery two weeks ago. My recovery process has been smooth and pain free. Dr. Kwak is a very talented surgeon. From my virtual consultation to my surgery, he listened to my concerns and questions, and walked me through the whole process. He is very patient and has compassion toward his patients. He took his time during my consultation. Also, I never felt obligated to do any additional procedures. Dr. Kwak is truly a great artist. I really can not thank him enough. His staff was so amazing. They were so friendly, kind and exceptional. I put off having surgery for 10+ years out of fear. I had previous consults with the most infamous of plastic surgeons in NYC and it wasn’t until I met Dr. Kwak that I felt comfortable and confident in going under the knife. I asked Dr. Kwak for two things from my surgery... 1. To improve my breathing 2. To give me the best nose for my face without making me look like I had a nose job. He did both and more. Dr. Kwak and his staff (from front desk to OR) provided warmth and support when I was scared on my surgery day and after throughout my entire recovery. Dr. Kwak performed a rhinoplasty on me and I could not be more pleased with my experience and my results! He was extremely patient with all of my questions and concerns during the consultation, right before the surgery, and during all of the follow up appointments. Everyone at the office really cares about you and someone is always available to answer any questions and concerns by text or call any time of the day. My healing post-surgery was pretty seamless, with absolutely no bruising at all. My nose looks so much better yet still so natural. So thankful for Dr. Kwak and his team!

We came for the consultation. Everything went well. After that we called twice to get some additional information and clarify something, twice we were promised to call back by the patient consultant and twice nobody called. Very bad service and attitude. We are definitely doing to do eyelid surgery in a different place. Just waste of time and money for initial visit.

I got my eyelids done in 9/2020 and I am so pleased with the results. No scars/keloids and my eyes look great :) Everyone was very nice and helpful, from answering my questions to scheduling to making me feel comfortable since I've never had any type of surgery at all. That includes the front staff and nurses and Dr. Kwak. I was walked through everything - what to do before the procedure, what to expect during the procedure, and post-op care. I highly recommend Dr. Kwak and if I ever want anything else done I will return.

There are not enough great things I can say about my experience. I had a rhinoplasty 5 months ago and the results are amazing! They are exactly what I had hoped for. I’m not one to write reviews, but I must.
First off, Dr.Kwak has operated on many people I know and they all look absolutely amazing. Dr.Kwak is literally an artist when it comes to surgery.
Not only that, everyone who works in the office...the receptionist, manager, nurses, etc, are the kindest, most understanding people I have ever met in a medical setting! I had a personal situation and when I say they value the patient more than anything else, I truly mean it. I can not remember Dr.Kwak’s wife’s name for the life of me but I have to mention her as well. She was in the office when my friend and I were there and she was so understanding and kind to us. My friend felt extremely comfortable throughout the entire experience. Dr.Kwak just wants to see his patients happy. I am so happy to have met such a genuinely kind Doctor. If you are someone who wants surgery or a procedure done, go to Dr.Kwak. You will get treated like the king or Queen you are!
Not only that, you will come out looking AMAZING.
P.S , my friend got lip and chin injections. Dr.Kwak and his team educated us on the different types of injections and made sure my friend chose the right one for her. We left knowing almost everything that has to do with fillers,haha. She came out looking great.

Excellent team and doctor. I just completed my FUE hair transplant and it already looks better than before. He is very patient and did not rush the procedure even though the expected time went over by a few hours. I really appreciated him taking time out to make sure I was comfortable. His techs have 20 plus years of experience, and it shows in their work. I would not gamble my looks, so going to someone reputable is probably a good idea. I highly recommend it.

When I was looking to get surgery (rhinoplasty/sept opal sty done I did a ton of research on which doctor I wanted to choose. I’m SO happy I chose Dr. Kwak. Not only is he and his work beyond outstanding, his staff are outstanding as well. They all make you feel so comfortable with the entire experience and they are all so helpful. I am one who definitely overthinks when making a big decision but I can tell you there is no need to overthink or doubt choosing Dr. Kwak as your surgeon. If i could give 10 stars I would!

I am 4 months post blepharoplasty (eye bag surgery). Dr. Kwak did an amazing job with my under eyes. My heavy eye bags that I have been dealing with since my early 30's are completely gone! Results are amazing.
My eye bags got worse each year and became very apparent when I turned 40. Fillers were quick fix to mask the problem, but they left my eye looking puffier. I had to do something about it. I had a consultation with Dr. Kwak and I completely trusted him to perform blepharoplasty on me. He understands my asian facial structure and what needed to be done to make my under eyes smooth and bag free!
The surgery was relatively quick, and I recovered in less than 2 weeks. No-one knew I have anything done. Dr. Kwak is extremely skillful and meticulous with his hands and made sure you got results, and.. I did. I am extremely happy with my bag-free eyes. No more fillers and looking tired.
I highly recommend Dr. Kwak and his team for anyone who is suffering with eye bags.

Called to make a consultation appointment, His charge is $350. Very high even by UES standards and I live in the area. It is higher than some very renowned surgeons. Though staff says it is applicable toward procedures, feels like he wants to lock you in. Not a good vibe. Pass.

I had a great experience for my revision rhinoplasty which was performed one month ago. Dr. Kwak listens to your needs and provides the best solution. He is very pleasant, informative, and warm. Had an ethnic Alar Base Reduction Procedure. I wanted to stay away from any procedures that required me to be "put under" as that seemed a bit too much for me. It was done under local anesthesia at his New York location.
Consultation - Dr Kwak took his time and didn't rush me at all. Answered my concerns. My impression is that he valued a natural result, instead of forcing something unnatural that doesn't fit a person.
Procedure - Done at his Park Avenue location. He and his assistant performed the surgery. This was my first time doing ANY surgery, so obviously I was nervous. As with local anesthesia, I was also awake but did not feel pain. The procedure took almost an hour as I remember. His facilities looked clean, modern, and well equipped. I did not feel panicked during the procedure. I just kept a very calm mindset, and reminded myself these were professionals.
Result - Overall the result was an improvement to my profile, while at the same time looking very natural. By natural I mean proportional. The team seems to understand what looks natural, proportional, and manipulating it to give you an improved appearance. Am I happy with the result and going through with the procedure? Definitely!! I want to point out - I did experience scarring, after the original procedure. Dr. Kwak performed three additional procedures on me, to help mitigate the scarring. After the three procedures, I can be satisfied with the improvement on the scarring. It is because of this that I am still able to give Dr. Kwak and his office a high rated review.
One thing I wanted to add - I was treated well and with respect before and after the procedure, and also during my follow up procedures. This is something I very much valued and affected me positively. In short - I would recommend Dr. Kwak and his office!

They were all amazing and saw me through a septal perforation repair procedure with patience and professionalism, putting my mind at ease every step of the way. Dr. Kwak and his staff made me feel right at home. I had already gone for a nasal surgery previously, and the surgeon I worked with didn’t successfully fix my problem. I was extremely nervous, going for surgery number two. I couldn’t breathe at all on one side of my nose, and I had an awful deviated septum. I had trust in them from the second I walked in the door. Dr. Kwak thoroughly explained what was happening and how he can fix it. He was very kind and caring, and really made me feel like I actually mattered. I felt that he cared more about helping me than he did about acquiring another client. He explained what had appeared to go wrong with my previous surgery - never talking badly about the previous surgeon, and never making me feel uncomfortable about the situation. He was confident in his ability to help me from the start, and honestly it made me feel less hopeless. He assured me that my quality of life would improve after surgery - and so far he’s absolutely right! It has only been 2 weeks since my surgery, and I feel that I am breathing better than I have in the last 9 years since my last surgery.
He sets extremely realistic expectations from start to finish, and his staff is more than willing to help the patients in any way they can. The office is very zen/spa like, and there is not one unhappy face in there. They barely had to ask my name, they all had a pretty good idea about who I was - which made me feel even more comfortable. They greet you with happy energy, and you leave feeling cared for. I asked a million questions during the process, and not once did I encounter someone that was impatient, or hard to deal with. I’m a handful - more like a ball of anxiety - and they knew exactly how to take care of me, making me feel comfortable.
Dr. S (I don’t want to misspell, but the anesthesiologist!) was also amazing. He called me and introduced himself before my surgery, and followed up with me the night of my surgery. He was a very humorous guy, in the most professional way. He also contributed to lessening my anxiety about the surgery. Dr. Kwaks office continuously reached out and followed up with me before and after my surgery. Considering I was put under, I think that kind of attitude is really important when it comes to bedside manor. I felt right at home with everyone, and my family did as well. I highly recommend this team for anyone looking for a realistic, trusting doctor who CLEARLY knows exactly what they’re doing. I never felt like a bother, and never had to wait forever for a response. They’re on top of their game in so many ways, and I believe Dr. Kwak and his staff are a RARE FIND!

Let me just say, Dr. Kwak is by far the best plastic surgeon I’ve been too. His bedside manner is impeccable! He made me feel so comfortable from the beginning of the visit to the end. I had many horrible experiences with other plastic surgeons in getting fillers for my lips so you can imagine how nervous I must of been when I came into Dr. Kwaks office. He definitely made me feel comfortable right away and he was extremely detailed in explaining the process to me and how we can fix my lips after my tough experience. He was able to get my lips evened out but still made them look natural. I definitely recommend him! He’s officially my go to plastic surgeon.

I went to see the doctor for an otoplasty. It failed 3 times. Dr. Kwak actually had me scheduled for 4th attempt and I showed up at the appt and declined and just had the old stitches removed because they were irritating my skin. He said I was an anomaly. If I was an anomaly, he should've done his research by the second failed attempt to figure out another approach to make it successful an otoplasty, and not do the same procedure THREE times and attempt the fourth saying it'll hold by the fourth attempt. I never went back despite him saying I should come back when I had time for him to stitch my ear for the 4th time. I just wasted my hard earned money.

Amazing experience getting my first cool sculpting procedure.
I met with Stephanie and she was amazing and made me feel really comfortable. She explained everything in detail and also did the procedure which makes everything even more comfortable. The applicator pinched for the first couple of minutes but after that it's fine. I actually feel asleep during the second session :)
ESK plastic surgery is amazing. I actually also see Dr.Kwak for my sinus issues and just booked my sinus procedure (which I've been procrastinating about) right after the cool sculpting cause I felt comfortable with Dr. Kwak with his way of explaining everything.

I am so incredibly thrilled to have found Dr. Kwak and his amazing team. For most of my life, I have had functional breathing and sinus issues. On top of it, I suffered an injury to my nose where it was fractured in two places, but I was unable to get it fixed because of being pregnant with my daughter. I have also always been scared to have anyone touch my nose and face because I work as a professional model in New York and didn’t want to look drastically different. However, over time the fracture really became more noticeable, and I kept noticing in photos how bent and crooked it looked. Most importantly, what really made me seek treatment after so many years were my sinuses that were so bad that they were making my headaches almost unbearable. I also had a fully deviated septum, large turbinates and full valve collapse (when you’re nostrils cave in when you breathe) so breathing, especially during exercise was very difficult for me. I basically couldn’t breath out of the left side of my nose at all!
I knew I wanted to find a surgeon who was primarily focused on faces and noses. I knew I should find a surgeon who is an ENT who could fix my breathing and sinus pain, who is also a board certified facial plastic surgeon to fix the breaks in my nose. I live in Connecticut, and I couldn’t find anyone who matched this criteria. In New York, on the internet, I was able to find several. I ended up visiting my top two choices, Dr. Kwak and another surgeon. After meeting Dr. Kwak I knew I didn’t need to look any further. He was so thorough and helpful during my very first meeting with him, fully scoping my nose (which the other surgeon didn’t do), and telling me about all of my various issues. Needless to say, I ended up choosing Dr. Kwak, and I’m so happy that I did!
My nose looks incredible, after 5 weeks I have minimal swelling and I look exactly like myself but so much improved because I know longer have hideous fractures in my nose. And most importantly, I can breathe better than I ever have in my life. On the day after the surgery, when he removed the packing, for the first time ever, air entered my nostril on the left side! Additionally, my migraines have drastically reduced - it really seems like a miracle. He’s so incredibly talented, kind and knowledgeable.
The staff at Dr. Kwak’s office was also over the top impressive. The nurses were so caring and patient, even helping me through my difficulties with general anesthesia. And the billing and front office staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. They were so flexible with scheduling and amazing about getting insurance to cover my surgery (one other office I saw on Park Avenue couldn’t be bothered with dealing with insurance, even for the true functional problems I had).
Overall, all I can say is trust the reviews you read about Dr. Kwak and his team. It’s all true, he really in incredible! I’m so glad I trusted my heart and chose him to fix me.

He really listens to you. I had a consult with another surgeon and it really made me appreciate how thorough and patient Dr. Kwak is. The price includes a lot of care- as he said « you never stop being a patient ». I’m hapoy with the results :)
